It's your typical suburban pub experience. Good value food, friendly service and reasonably priced drinks.
Great for catch ups with friends mid-week and you can even have a laugh at the karaoke attempts on a Friday night. Spacious, cheap and good grub. Just have to contend for the pool table with the locals.
Have been going here for over 15 years (from back when it was called, The Muddy Farmer), for their Monday Night Steak Special and have only had one bad experience , where it took an hour and a half to get our food, and our 4 steaks came out "Rare".
They have a different special every night, plus they have a roast special in the daytime: Monday = Steak ... Tuesday = 2 For 1 ... Wednesday = Goulash / Wings ... Thursday = Italian / Parmigiana ... Friday = Mexican ... Saturday = Steak ... Sunday = $15 Set Menu
Been going there for a long time for Monday night steak special: tender good sized flame grilled rib fillet to your liking, beer battered chips & salad for $14.95.... I cant make it for that price!! And who wants to cook on Mondays??? Generally good service but Beth is excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Great little local pub in the heart of Annerley. Two for one meals on Tues slso a great deal. Good priced drinks & cheesy garlic bread. Specials everyday of the week! Plenty of off street parking.
Normal pub food but a bit more expensive than the food supported - $24 for a parmie with tinned pineapple and tomato paste like sauce. However it wasn't bad as it was cooked well, oils were clean and the chips were excellent
We usually go here for steak night and it is usually great with good service. On the rare occasion the food may not be up to par and the service the same.

Great decor, perfect spot for a chat, quite drink or to watch the footy. Well worth a visit.
Great pub food and really friendly staff. This old pub is a bit lacking on the decor side of things but the food and the service really makes up for it!
We often head in for cheap steak night (Tuesday) and get a really great rump steak with chips and salad. I ask for my steak rare and it usually comes out medium rare (how I like it) so prepare to order a little rarer than usual.
One night, the chef came out to apologise that my barramundi had been overcooked and he couldn't serve it to me. He brought complimentary calimari to nibble on while he cooked another. How amazing is that service in a Brisbane pub!?!?
Food is around the $20-$30 mark and is worth the money as everything on the menu is tasty and well prepared. We love the Muddy!
Just amazing pub food, in fact I would rate it as the best in Brisbane. The chef made pie is hand made in a stock pot... Drouls.
Food was amazing. I had a gluten free burger with gluten free chips and it was probably hands down one of the best meals I’ve had.
Chef was super accommodating for me which is always a bonus! Thank you guys, will definitely be back!
Best garlic bread I've ever had. Friday and Saturday nights are half price mains - all mains are delicious! Friendly staff and spacious - great to bring friends and watch a sports game. Decor is average and it would be nice to have a refurb but it's a suburban pub so it's somewhat expected.
Good food and drinks. Not much selection on the menu but does the job. Only thing to mention is the air conditioning is way too cold. On every occasion we've needed to go and get our jumpers. We did mention to staff, however there wasn't anything they could do about it.

Food was very good and priced competitively. Drink prices need some adjusting to for me but perhaps recent price increases everywhere takes some getting used to. $21+ for a glass of wine (cab sav) and LemonLime&bitters was a reality check.
Have been going here for 20 years ...it's our local. Great food, they really know how to cook a steak to order, and have different specials each night of the week ...
Great meals - 1/2 price mains Fri & Sat. Great cocktails and pool tables. Can't go wrong!
Staff are helpful and friendly. Food is very well presented. Food is fresh and garnished. Food is served hour as it should be, golden chips.
There are lots of dining options. Specials of the day, Lunch specials($15) steak nights, (Saturday and Monday), Roasts of the Day($9.95), etc. Drinks nice and chilled. See wine list photos- a good selection!
We went for lunch and had a lamb roast and vegetables and a seafood basket with chips and salad. Very enjoyable. Will return... see pics.
