Review I Heart Brownies Bakery - Brisbane

The best brownies in brissy! Had chance upon this brownies cafe when i was an international student 4 years back and cant stop dreaming about it ever since i am back home (Singapore). Of course, I ordered plenty and have it hand carried back home as gifts to friends and relatives and for myself. Goes especially well with vanilla ice cream sandwiched inbetween! Miss it so so much!

My wife and I have been addicted to I Heart Brownies for years. It’s our favourite dessert. I’ve eaten my way through all the flavours and they’re all fantastic. Best brownies we’ve ever eaten. They’re so rich and flavoursome we share one. Best eaten straight out of the freezer. Only downside is, they are so popular they run out of our favourite flavour sometimes. That’s when the withdrawals kick in. Keep up the good work.

This place is sooo whimsical.....every infinite detail is just gorgeous and all the girls that work here are so pretty!!

Such a terrible experience and poor/non existent communication. Ordered for a gift, and I never got any information for delivery days or times until I enquired. On response they got my name completely wrong... very professional. When I asked if I could change the date, as it was mentioned in the order it's a business delivery I got no response and my brownies are now held at a post office that I'll never get to because I work away. And I cannot send a company to collect them can I?! 😂 I didn't even know they'd been delivered there until I raised an enquiry and got a tracking number from iHeart, which was never issued initially. So what an amazing waste of money and what terrible customer service.

Best brownies I've ever put into my mouth. The variety in flavours keeps you coming back for more.

We often enjoy the I heart brownies at our family functions & have been really impressed with the consistent attention to flavour & quality over many years. Today we tried the new ‘m & m’ brownie & it’s a winner! Will be ordering more of these delicious treats for our family desserts in future. Well done I Heart Brownies.

The best brownies in Brisbane. They make a great gift also.

Banana bread is awesome. Brownies are good. The girl at the counter needs to take a happy pill. Miserable people are a big turn off.

I love the brownies here! So good! Highly recommend!

Very nice treat food and awesome for my little coeliacs. The salted caramel was a winner. We also tried the jaffa and turkish delight brownies but didn't like them quite as much.<br/>I heart brownies is a cute concept... standard choc chunk brownies in a heart shape, infused with different flavours and dusted with icing sugar. 100% gluten free so a big winner with the coeliac crowd. But I struggled to see anything legendary about it especially at $4.50 per small brownie. Happy I tried it but won't be back in a hurry.

Friendly staff. <br/>Decent coffee. <br/>Lovely brownies! <br/><br/>They come well presented in a nice little box with string around them. The salted caramel and double choc were the favourites.

overall: 3.2/5<br/>gluten free options: 5/5<br/>food taste: 3/5<br/>ambience: 2/5 <br/>customer service: 4/5<br/>pricing vs quality: 2/5<br/><br/>everything here is gluten free, which is a yay. there’s only a few options that are dairy free though :(<br/><br/>their dairy free brownie is rather lacklustre. no gooey inner centre. it’s made okay — but you can get the same kind of quality from a prepackaged carton of gluten free brownies that give you a dozen of these at the same price. not too impressed but at least the brownies here are slightly cheaper than the ones in the city. <br/><br/>also got the strawberry mylkshake (with soy milk). it tasted more like a strawberry coconut smoothie, and i didn’t like the taste at all. it was also super SUPER sweet. not a good idea to combine this with the brownies because then it’s just sweetness overload (and i like sweet food...). <br/><br/>ambience was eh... not much really in terms of vibe but the customer service was quick and decent :)

What’s cooking foodie friends? I’ll tell you what....heart-shaped brownie portals to heaven.<br/><br/>Although a frequent customer (read: ‘junkie’) at the CBD kiosk, this original bakery is my true happy place. One waft of that intoxicating chocolate & my eyes glaze over, logic & reason bail & whoops I’m the winner in feral gluttony. And the prize is satisfaction. Of the highest order. I rely on their gluten free status to convince myself these indiscretions are minor.<br/><br/>The brownies themselves consistently have firm, crispy edges and dense, soft, fudgey, not-too-sweet interiors. In either classic or premium varieties, flavours & fillings are spot on & compliment rather than overpower the gorgeous chocolate. <br/><br/>Ever mindful of the anti-discriminatory requirements of Zomato, I nevertheless declare my unequivocal preference for cherry coconut. There I said it. <br/><br/>If you haven’t already, follow your heart here: you won’t regret it❣️

Best brownies I've had to date! Love the crispy exterior and dense, gooey centre. The raspberry was divine. My mint could have done with a stronger mint flavour, but was still delicious. Now I need to try the lot!

I just ate the salted caramel brownie these guys sell and I'm experiencing a singular joy unlikely to be matched in this lifetime or the next. Everyone go to this place and ensure they stick around pls.

Just gooy, delicious melt in the mouth heart shaped brownies. A variety of yummy flavors couldn't make up my mind so settled for the double chocolate hit. Was a  highly enjoyable delight served with a smile

7/6 today we decided to give another try and chose the Jaffa brownie, this one was quite hard outside and not as soft as the one we tried before. There was a noticeable note of orange but not strong enough to overpower the chocolaty taste of it. Overall was too sweet and rich for our liking but still a decent brownie. 3.5/5 sounds fair for this experience as well.<br/><br/>Today I was walking by and decided to finally try this store. I had the maple pecan brownie, for $4.50 it was quite a nice treat, it had a good size and a nice bite to it but was too sweet for me probably due to the maple syrup that I guess they use for the brownie.<br/><br/>I would definitely come back to try another flavours in the future.

Simply the best. Wonderful taste, texture, value for money, great service and just divine. I Heart Brownies are absolutely delicious! Love trying all the different flavours.
Rebecca
Cute little brownie in a variety of flavours, and I shouldn't really say little as they cover my non petite hands! I had the cherry and coconut and was surprised how easy they were to eat.

The brownies are heart shaped and come in different flavours. They are all gluten free too.<br/>They stamp the bottom of the box when they pop your selection in as they all look the same... Because you don't want to bite into a Turkish delight if you were planning on munching on a peanut butter one.<br/>Moist and not over priced but was hoping for more texture inside. Flavour is throughout but no pieces of peanut butter/mint/ raspberry. There is a store in the Wintergarden too.

Whilst in Bakery Lane, a little shop caught my eye because, well, it was named I heart brownies! So what did I do? I skipped into the shop and feast my eyes on all them brownies YO!. When you walk in, you can see the brownies all lined up and from afar, yes they look like sushi rolls (a lot of customers has mistaken that too). Each brownie is 100% gluten free and they are all variations of the classic original chocolate brownie. There were so many flavours and I was so overwhelmed that I couldn’t pick just the one brownie. So what did I do? I got 3 brownies instead!! PARTAYY!!! The classic flavours were $4 whilst the premium range was $4.50.

The name is spot on!! I heart these brownies!! <br/>You cannot walk into Bakery Lane without having the smell of these little flavour bombs lure you into I Heart Brownies.<br/><br/>Must go with friends so you can share a few different flavours. My favourites so far are mint and the salted caramel. Perfect for a sweet treat and I love getting these in the individual boxes for friends/ family whenever I want to say thank you for something. <br/><br/>The entire experience of getting a brownie from I Heart Brownies is spot on, right down to the 50's diner style uniforms the staff wear. The pink lemonade is also delicious. <br/><br/>Yum yum yum

These guys make tasty, chewy brownies. Nothing more and nothing less. Decent size and good value for money. Good selection of flavours that complement the base chocolate flavour of the brownies.

These brownies are to die for!!! Cute little shop... and The flavours are the best... peanut butter and nutella are heavenly. Delicious, moist and undeniably fresh brownies and all GF!!!!! You need to try!! :)

Yummy, moist, rich brownies. Beautifully packaged, the perfect gift for any chocolate lover! I really find it so hard to go past a good brownie! They seem quite small for $4 but they are so rich you wouldn't want any more in a serve. It might be nice to have a slightly less rich option available for those who find it a bit much but no complaints here. I always stick to the traditional chocolate, really can't beat the original in my view. Cute little store hidden down trendy Bakery lane.

I'm not a huge sweet tooth... But turns out, I actually do heart the brownies.<br/>I like the store layout, it's cute & functional. We were greeted warmly & the staff seemed genuinely pleasant to interact with.<br/>The brownies themselves are rich & delicious, I could only eat one as it would have been a chocolate overload.<br/>We got the double choc & lamington flavours. to share. Some flavours were out... But it was late afternoon so it's hardly surprising I guess.<br/>I'll be recommending it to my sugar crazed friends.<br/>It might sound strange, but I like that they don't have crazy toppings that tend to be over elaborate, with no substance (pay attention doughnut time).

Delicious rich brownies (the best in Brisbane) - they are also at the Wednesday Jan Powers Markets in the Brisbane City on Wednesday. GF and are around $4 each. Anything more, I would feel as though it's crossing the line, but the price is perfect for what you get.
The Tasty Plate
Yes I do heart brownies!! For me its all about the original chocolate brownie with the rich chocolate flavor and a perfect gooey centre. I purchased a box of the original chocolate brownies to take home and served them warm for dessert with some whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

First trip to I Heart Brownies and I was blown away! I now know what the fuss is about. I had the Jaffa brownie and it was perfect. Rich and moist inside, and had the perfect crisp exterior
Misscharlot
OMG!!! heart it, knew them from the wedesday farmer market in the city. and so glad they are having a store in the valley now and in the cute alley.

Yummy! These brownies are sooo good. I have tried the original chocolate, Turkish delight, raspberry and salted caramel - not all at once - otherwise it would send me into a diabetic shock! They are very rich, the texture is moist and chewy and the whole experience is heavenly. I usually takeaway and eat it at home with a nice cup of tea. Also great for a cheat dessert for a dinner party with friends, serving it up with custard and fresh strawberries. Came in today and saw new flavours - cheesecake and strawberry white chocolate. Would definitely need to come back to try these flavours.<br/>They're gluten free and they're reasonably priced at $4, I usually cut it in half and have the other half the following day as I would it too much having a whole one in one sitting, but that is just me. For sweet tooth lovers out there this should definitely be on your list to eat.

We bought the mint and the original to share. We found the brownies to be nice and chewy and rich. I liked how it wasnt excessively sweet. The textures were also really intricate, with crunchy chocolate chips within the chewy brownie mixture. Needless to say, I really enjoyed it, although when shared with my companions, some of them did say they found it to be too rich.
