Review Miku Sushi And Japanese Cuisine - Brisbane

Elnaz Irannezhad
Service was quick but no napkin, not enough cutlery. Food was good and the portion was alright for me but would be relatively small for a hungry adult man.

Outstanding! Everything was super tasty, and beautifully presented. And with BYO wine as well. Highly recommended! Will definitely return on our next Brisbane visit.

Friendly service. Good coffee. Banana bread was tasty. Also freshly baked baguettes available for sale.

I love this Japanese restaurant. The food is great and the price is fair as well. I have been here a dozen times and have never been disappointed. The staff polite and the service is quick. The Miku Bento is my all time favorite meal here. The bento box is full of a variety of Japanese delights. The miso soup is some of the best I have had.

We came here with six hungry people. The food came out fairly quick and the service was good. We ordered everything from the dessert menu. I would have paid more for better desserts.

We have been coming to Miku since they opened and it is our favourite Japanese restaurant. I take all our house guests there for at least one dinner. The staff have always been wonderful (sometimes they have young waitstaff but they are always friendly and do their best). On busy nights the wait can be a bit longer but they manage to get the food out fairly quickly and they do take away as well. The food is excellent, always fresh and tasty, good portion sizes. I highly recommend it for a casual night out with family or friends or a relaxing lunch. Well priced and good location.

I went to Miku tonight with a friend, the food was amazing and the wait staff were extremely polite. Unfortunately there was a person who visited just before we left who thought it would be OK to yell at the staff about her order which was being packed at the time. The staff handled this extremely well I just hope if the lady tries to leave a bad review that you do not let it influence your decision to not come here.

I’ve communicated clearly we have an event to go to and if 1hour and 30 min is enough time for our food to be ready. They’ve said it’s plenty of time. Than we’ve end up waiting for 2 hours for our food and missed on our event. They kept prioritising all Uber eats the entire time and left the customers like us waiting. Rude man came to talk to us and he wasn’t very apologetic. Won’t go back there.

Decided to order some takeaway before heading next door for a treat at lick. Quick look at the menu and ordered teriyaki chicken with rice, and chicken karaage curry rice.

The place was a little busy Friday night so the wait was a little while. Staff are friendly, easy parking.

Wife enjoyed her meal, but the portion is on the smaller size for the price. My curry was ok, nothing special, the karaage chicken was nicely seasoned and still had some crunch, again was small portions.

We had eaten here before, dined in. So would recommended eating in as the portions were bigger.

So fresh and excellent quality of food. Service is always super polite and food always comes so quickly. Definitely the best food in Graceville/Chelmer/Sherwood area.

Hunger for some Japanese food on lazy Friday night, my boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant around our corner instead of driving to Sunnybank (that's where we usually go for authentic Japanese food). We ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Don and Beef Curry Don. The food didn't arrive after 30 minutes. Seriously,In other Japanese restaurants we should have already been finished eating our meal in 30 minutes. Another thing that upset us was the related small portion of the food. A tiny shallow bowl filled with small another amount of rice with some curry on top decorated with some random salad leaves .. the price of 12 $ seems unjustified here. That's just ridiculous. Won't go there again for sure.

Just had dinner here.. I had the medium sashimi plate & soft shell crab. YUM! Both were lovely. My friends had the bento boxes. They were huge & looked amazing. Well worth the price. Lovely little shop & friendly staff. Would recommend 😄

Nice fit out and great staff. It has a pretty good menu with all the usual offerings (tempura prawns) etc. pretty good menu overall.

They also do cheap takeaway rolls. Where was this when I lived around the corner.

This is a great little place for locals to come by. The service is friendly and the food comes out efficiently. Our dishes were lovely and only around the $13 price mark. I didn't ask but it looked as though it was BYO!

Came here around 8pm, the service was really pleasant and the restaurant had an alright atmosphere.

Ordered the seafood okonomiyaki, aburi salmon, soft shell crab, and the pork curry don.

The okonomiyaki was really good, extremely creamy and soft inside while delectably savoury outside. Super plus points for the good pricing!

The soft shell crab was fantastic, tasted really fresh and it only cost around $12 for a whole piece! Will definitely be back again for some more.

The aburi salmon was really good as well, balanced well with the sauces.

The pork curry don was pretty average, had good pork katsu bits but the curry was a little underwhelming.

Overall, the dishes are relatively well priced for the quality that you get! I will surely be back to try other aburi dishes!!

Wanted to give this place a go as we had driven past it a few times. Whilst the atmosphere was ok and the place looked very clean, I should've stuck with the tried and true... Was not a fan! Had a chicken nigiri and the flavour was very strange

Awesome staff! Im getting takeaway from here about 4 times a week now because i work next door and i am super obsessed with the garden roll, miso soup, vegetable gyoza and spring rolls!! The sushi is a bit expensive for what it is but i am willing to pay for the quality that it is! Love you guys, you make my dinner almost every night and you never disappoint :)

Quality Authentic Japanese Food. Miku is a popular and reliable place to eat out in Graceville.
If you love Japanese food then this is a great place to go.
The Salmon Bento Box is awesome. For $26 its a generous variety that is delicious.
Try Miku you won't be disappointed.

Yum!. A nice little place me and my partner went to. and I've got to say its lovely, some of what we ordered is the closest thing you can get to in comparison with japan. such as the gyoza, miso, nigiri, and sushi rolls. so thanks miku - we will be back again!!

Not bad... Have heard the hype about this semi new local japanese restaurant and been wanting to try it for quiet some time.
Today I finally had the chance too, and I must say overall its pretty average.
The gyoza's were fresh and as all the ingredients in the sushi rolls ordered, that being the spider roll, rainbow, california, salmon lover and terriyaki!
Only there was hardly any filling in them :( kinda disappointing for such a pricey roll. avocado, crab quantity especially - half the size of pea in each roll? come on guys lift up your game!
Other than that, the wagyu tataki was superb! i highly recommend trying it, it really does melt in your mouth!
All in all, I think this place has potential to be excellent if they add more ingredients for the price they are selling..
I've been to better and I've been to worse.

Edit: Yesterday I wanted something refreshing and had the cold soba for lunch, it was deliciously light and tasty. So today I came back for more but had the soba noodle salad with beef and spring rolls - just amazing! I loved it and am happy to bump my rating to a 5/5!
-----
Great. I went here last week for the first time, I think it is new. I had an excellent tempura udon noodle dish and hubby loved his katsudon.
The food was surprisingly delicious and tasty. They also served up the best edamame I've ever had. Perfectly salted and cooked.
We'll definitely be back to this neighborhood gem.
Oh and the prices are excellent too!

Mi-ku Graceville. If eating in store this restaurant is okay. But if ordering take away expect a 50 minutes wait (after the time they tell you the food will be cooked), smaller portions, often a mixed up/wrong order and for half your food to be cold and half your food hot.

They simply don't care about their takeaway business.

Fantastic Service and good value. Tried Miku for the first time afte a friend recommended it. Everything was great. The more traditional dishes were exceptional for the price. A great little night out and very kid-friendly too. Thank-you Miku! We'll definitely be back.

Always my favorite restaurant. I have had dinner in Miku for several times, and this place has never disappointed me. For all the dishes I have tried, every taste is delightful! My recommendations will be the Aburi Nigiri, Tuna Tataki, Beef Tataki, Bento Box and Sizzling. If you are fans of Sushi Rolls, let's go with Chicken Roll, Salmon Lover Roll, Spider Roll, Dragon Roll and Rainbow Roll. The display is stunning!!!
The staff is always helpful and dedicated. Sometimes it gets really busy on weekends, but they do the best to serve you in a friendly manner. Really appreciate that!

Never had a bad meal here. Very consistent and always tastes great!

Better than expected. We ate there last night and didn't experience any of the negatives mentioned in other reviews. The Miku bento box was a good size and contained a good mixture of enjoyable dishes. The takoyaki entree was good too.

Unlike an earlier reviewer, I don't think this is "fake Japanese food" and I also don't agree that it makes any difference whether or not the restaurateurs are Japanese.

It is also BYO and I didn't see any corkage on the bill. Speaking of the bill, I didn't think it was over the top - dinner of entrées and mains for two for less than $60.

It isn't Nobu, but it seems to be keeping the punters happy in Graceville. I'll be back.

Quality. New, fresh, high quality Japanese...value for money 8/10

Fake Japanese restaurant! Doesn't like it at all. If you order Sushi or deep fried dish you never get wrong cos its not that hard to make it, but if you order main meal which Don or Wagyu Sizzling dish you will see that is not Japanese people who runs this shop. I am very disappointed and it was expensive with horrible main meals. If you don't care about eating pretend Japanese food go a head.

Food was pretty average and more expensive than was worth. Air con didn't seem to be working too well either. Disappointed for the second time in a row. Won't be going there again.

A worthwhile dinner. Starved and slightly bewildered in the days following that sometimes torturous occasion dubbed 'Christmas', my comrades and I were on the hunt for a good feed. We stumbled upon this Japanese restaurant from this very site and I must say I was quite happy with the evening. The food was yummy, approaching delicious territory, but not quite there. We ended up ordering gyoza, takoyaki, temaki and an assortment of Donburi and the food really did stack up well, and the price wasn't hard to swallow either. The service was quite good with the wait staff quite attentive and the meals arriving quickly, but not too quickly. Quickly enough to let conversation simmer to a golden crispy outside, without letting the yolk of divisive topics create a mess over the table. All in all, we were well fed, well looked after and all for less than $20 using the split-bill method of payment. If you need a place to eat and you're not sure where to go, just go to Miku and enjoy yourself.

Local Review. I've only ordered off the Don selection so far and it has been great. Rice, salad and a wide selection of meats whats not to like. Average don price $10. They get you with the drinks though, $3.5 for a can of coke? Order wait about 12mins. Good to see Graceville finally getting some quality local establishments.
A.
