One of our favourite Korean BBQ Buffets in Brisbane. At $29.50 pp with no time limit, this restaurant offers great value. We arrive at 6.30pm to see many tables occupied with charcoal grills blazing.
Mum likes the three varieties of Fried Chicken while we prefer to grill Pork Belly, Beef Steak, Ox Tongue, Marinated Pork, Chicken and Baby Octopus over hot coals. To fully enjoy this meal we have ice cold Korean Soju.
My side dishes are Kim Chi, Fried Glass Noodles, Mash Potatoes, Salad, Coriander and White Radish Soup. We love the smokey flavour of charcoal grill and finish our meal with two servings of grilled Baby Octopus 🐙! Thank you for the friendly service and the delicious meal.
The grand opening of Foodii is a strong competitor to the other eateries within the same shopping village that this Korean Buffet restaurant located. It is nearly four years since my first review on this eatery so went for exploration last night.
It may due to recent economic climate, the whole shopping village seemed dead last night. When we arrived, there were only a few tables had been occupied in Foodii and so as same as the other eateries. Not surprisingly that this Buffet eatery had only two tables occupied prior to our arrival. Price per head is around $30.00.
When we went inside the food display area, we then noticed that the management had been changed since my last time (not surprising, it is nearly four years). Selection of food still covers hot cold food and raw meat; however, it seems less spectacular than before, particularly there was no ox tongue. Another different is that they use gas stove rather than charcoal for the BBQ, which really lacks of the bit of charcoal taste.
Overall service is attentive and friendly so still worth to give it a go but we worry about them under the terrible competition around.

This restaurant has been running quite a few years. The success is its theme of rustic presentation. No nice set up but there is a theme of eating street-food. Using charcoal is an important factor for BBQ rather than providing some update infra-red stove for the selling point of "healthy". Price is cheap comparing to the quality of meat provided. Service is attentive with regular changing of the used wire gauze. It is a clever method of trading. No particular technique, no fancy set-up but providing the rustic good quality of meat with hospitable service.
Delicious and stock is replenished often
Easy to cook and plates are also switched over to keep foodcooking at a perfect heat.
Great for couples families but being careful of hot plates and big groups.

I went to Tobaki with my brother and mother on a very recent trip to Brisbane. I’ve been there many times before.
I really like the Tobaki set-up with the tables outside as the smoke generated from the cooking all blows away. Most bbq places get very smoky.
They have a reasonable range of cooked food and meats for grilling and the owner manager always takes good care of us. It’s good value at under $90 for three of us.
I love the pork belly the most!
It got incredibly crowded being a Saturday night with a queue forming. I’ve never seen that there before. Lucky we got there early.
Overall rating was 4 stars. Very enjoyable indeed!
You can never go wrong with Korean bbq... especially if it’s all you can eat! Although there isn’t much in the meat range, there’s still plenty of meant to cook. The marinades are great and so are the chicken fried. The vibe here is awesome, the workers are always great a cheery and they like to keep your grill clean, changing it when it starts to get charred. Definitely a loyal customer here.
Quite a nice plqve to have a family korean style bbq dinner. Prices are fair and area is big enough to sit 10pax+. The food quality qnd variety has equal match for the all you can eat price that you pay for. Definately worth a visit if your around the corner
Great meat, good side dishes.
Service is lacking and servers are very awkward and rushed. Sometimes can be very unhelpful and can come off as rude.
Overall for 28.80 pp (increase in price as used to be 25), it's quite good considering all the other side dishes they have, ranging from fried rice, to glass noodles and fried chicken.
Meat is marinated well, but have a large amount of sugar that chars the grill quickly and servers come to change it every 15 minutes.
One of the best tasting kbbqs in this area.
I enjoyed my dinner here at Tobaki. Meat quality is good. Marinate tasted good. Plenty of veges and side dish to choose from. My favourite side dish of the night was Korean style pancake.
There was also one waitress in particular who was super attentive and efficient. It was quite busy night with almost full house but without asking she came to change the grill frequently. So thank you for good night I will come back next time when Im craving for BBQ.
Very nice variety of side dish and all you can eat korean BBQ buffet, that is already included the steamed rice, soup, and salad/lettuce for wrapping the meat.
Always going home with a happy smiley face full tummy.
Definitely recommend
The fire was quite slow at the offset, but luckily it heated up pretty quickly afterwards. I found the marinated steak to be quite tender, but the other one to be rather chewy. I was a bit disappointed that there was no Bulgogi available, but looking at the rack, I could see it would all fall down the cracks if they had it.
