Review Thai At Home - Brisbane

Ro Lyza
Terrible bland food. Left the duck curry full after tasting it once. The “charcoal beef” came out very rare. We asked for it to be cooked more as my wife is pregnant. Sent out again raw after 1 minute. Asked again can we please have it cooked through. It came out deep fried to a crisp. Not a hint of bbq flavour just greasy tough inedible meat.

Nice tables outside. Food good. Excellent fried won ton for starter. Red curry duck terrific. Not large portions. Most dishes a bit over $20.

The food was nice but pad see ew could be a little less sweet in taste

We have had takeaways a number of times and although a little pricier than some competitors the food is amazing, large portions and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to any one that has not tried yet.

Pad kee mao lunch special was the bomb! Love me my drunken noodles and this is one of the few in brisbane that have hit the spot for spice and flavour. Love! Lovely lady running the place, cute set up and delicious tasting food. I'll be back! Update: been here twice more since my initial review. Curries are on point too on flavour and the portions are generous. Definitely a favourite. Highly recommended!

Delicious food, generous portions, excellent service and very cozy seating arrangement. Loved the Massaman and Cashew Chicken. Staff very friendly. You can bring your own alcohol and enjoy with the amazing Thai dishes.

One of the best pad Thai in Brisbane. We also enjoy the tasteful photographs hanging on the wall as decorations. Great sitting area and service.

I’ve dined at this cozy restaurant many times and what I love most about this place is the atmosphere. It has a modern and relaxing feel; as you’re surrounded by beautiful decor with the owner’s personal touch. The food always tastes fresh, accentuating the delectable Thai flavours. The curry and noodle dishes are simply delicious; my favourite- Pad Thai (of course) made just the way I like it here. I certainly recommend you all to treat your palate and senses at this delightful restaurant.

I've been coming here for quite a while and have been very happy with just about all of my meals. The staff are polite and honest, the food comes out quick and servings are generous. The student deals are absolutely worth the money, but I find it just a little too expensive eating any meals that aren't on the student menu. Highly recommended!

We dined as a group for lunch and were impressed with the friendly service and the speedy delivery of our meals. Dishes we ordered ranged from chicken and cashews, to fried rice and BBQ chicken - all very tasty. Great service, great food, great price. What could be better than that?

Too expensive for eating this level Thai food,
Every meals are bad, include the milk tea, the worst one I tried..... anyway, phat elephant / kinn is better too much!!
Only the decorating is nice

Omg best thai food ever!!! My partner and I just dined here over the weekend and the curries were full of flavour... the staff were really friendly and attentive and the portions were more then enough. We got to take some home! One of the best thai restaurants around. Highly recommend 😁

Fantastic staff, and always so friendly. The crispy pork stir fry with vegetables (kana moo grob) is delicious and as it tasted in Thailand. Will definitely come again.

I've become more and more interested in Thai food over the last few years, (yes I know I'm late on the boat) but better late than never right?

Thai at home is a family run business which is located in a nice spot at St Lucia that has recently been renovated to look more like a home, and it's great. The food is tasty and I can't really much bad about it. Similarly priced to other Thai restaurants, but I'd rate the food better than your average Thai joint. I loved the massaman curry, probably my favourite dish. Definitely worth a try!

Thai at home served us quality, authentic, delicious Thai food. Their chefs come straight from some of Bangkok's most renowned cooking schools and the owners pride themselves on ensuring customers get a proper thai experience with homely food and service.

We tried a few dishes and the standout for me was Grandma's masuman curry. Tender beef and rich, thick sauce with soft potato and crunchy peanuts.

The prices are a little higher than average but the quality is very high.

Thoroughly enjoyed sitting around the family dining table and sharing an authentic home cooked Thai dinner. Having been to Thailand myself, I can say that there are few places that have authentic Thai food. Many have the famous 'pad thai' or 'green curry' but that's like saying Chinese food consists of 'sweet and sour pork' and 'fried rice'. How many actually know what Thai food consists of? With chefs who were teachers from a famous Thai Cooking school in Bangkok, it's no wonder the flavours of all dishes were perfectly balanced with tang and sweet rich aromas. Specialised in Thai food and dessert, this family owned restaurant provides dishes that are made from their very own grandmother's secret recipes. The owners are extremely hospitable, the food is reasonably well priced, the place has a cosy Thai interior, and also caters for takeaways and home deliveries! They also have student deals to cater for University students looking for some dinner nearby. Overall, I was really impressed with this place.

Love a good Thai night and the range of fresh and healthy options that are available here :) The curry we tasted was incredible and I'm a sucker for pad thai - though not as many vegetables as i would prefer so I recommend grabbing a salad/veggies on the side and it's super great to see this as an option for those of us more fond of the greens! The rice paper rolls look deliciously fresh with plenty of veggie fillings which is so refreshing over the cheap, rice noodle filled versions I so often see! A definite option for local uni students looking for that little bit more than the average kebab-ville trip and of course a top choice for Thai in Brisbane!

We were after a reasonably priced, casual, BYO meal on a Saturday night and Home was the perfect location! Home has been around and I had been to home before but not since its renovation, the renovation has given the restaurant a fresh new look. It was a tough choice between curries, woks, noodles and so much more! We decided on the Yum Ped (crispy skin duck with lychee, coriander) $21.90. The duck was cooked beautifully and the salad was fresh. If I were to be critical I would say that there was too much red onion.
