Review Sip Cafe - Brisbane

Shemah Appleton
A great allergy friendly menu, friendly staff and a pleasant cafe atmosphere. I was quite impressed by the coffee - I've been drinking almond milk macchiatos as of late, although the atmosphere, decor and staff demeanor didn't instill quite enough confidence that they make anything so unusual on a regular basis, so I settled for an almond milk latte. Whilst the house blend wasn't particularly bold, the flavours were distinct and pleasant enough. The coffee had notes of hazelnut and fruity undertones. The whole breakfast was also enjoyable, which included avocado on toast. Would recommend to anybody who lives or works in the area.

Hemingway Café is a brilliant, tucked away little lunch spot that is absolutely fantastic. Coffee is some of the best I've had, the food is excellent (pulled pork sandwich!) and the atmosphere is perfect for a casual or even a business lunch. I love eating here whenever I'm in the area.

The service was fine the first time which drew us again to this place. Seems like it was only to give a first impression. Second time in and the service was not only slow but also one of the staff comes to the table, after the meal was served, to let us know that one of the other employees had put money from his own pocket to swap between poached and scrambled eggs!!!! And hence asked that we 5$ more. Would have been good customer service if one would say this to begin with then coming to the table while meal is being served!

Coffee and food is great but the service is just "okay". Staff could smile a bit more and be a bit friendlier. The difference between a good cafe and a great one is service and making your customers feel welcome everytime they walk through the door. Don't really feel that here unfortunately.

My favourite place to have breakfast in Brisbane. The location brings only good memories to my mind and I like the cafe's vibes. The food is definitely tasty and the variety pretty wide, even for vegetarians. Maybe the vegan selection could be widened up a little, that would be nice. The staff is really friendly and polite, I've always had really pleasant conversations with all the members (Ben, Nikla and the new Italian guy, they all deserve a thumbs up). I think it's the perfect place to chill in lazy Sunday mornings before taking a nice walk along the river.

Small quiet place turning out the best breakfast / brunch in newstead - favorite haunt for a sneaky brekkie - coffees good, food mystically appears from what looks like the worlds tiniest kitchen - only downside is not much atmosphere but I’ll trade it for a quiet one - keep doing what your doing. Very relaxed nice breakfast.

The Eggs Benedict is fantastic - the hollandaise is perfection, eggs were cooked perfectly too. The Acai bowl was nice and simple, not skimpy on the strawberry and banana which was great and the coffees were pretty damn good too! It's a great little spot slightly elevated from the footpath. The staff were super friendly which always makes the experience memorable. Looking forwarded my next breakfast at Hemingway!

Loved this place. Turned up 30 mins before close and staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was quick and delicious. There aren’t many cafes that make their own hollandaise sauce anymore and this place nailed it. Coffee was nice too. Great stuff Hemingway
