Simple old school Aus-Italo fair, tailored to an Aussie pallet. Food not bad but not great. Portions are big enough without being huge. Service was old school too, pleasant enough but hygiene questionable, glasses delivered to the table with hands all over the rim, not quite right in these COVID times. If you're after Nonna's Italian this may not be the place. One example is the carbonara has cream in it, that's a very Aussie thing to do.

This Place is AMAZING!! best Italian food i've ever had, the staff are friendly, and it's relatively well priced. Great atmosphere, I love how it feels older, not many restaurants like that anymore. LOVE IT!

Fantastic experience here on a Friday night with friends. Had the capricciosa pizza and spaghetti marinara. Pizza was amazing and spaghetti was unbelievably flavoursome. Excellent service as well. Prices were decent too. Highly recommended.

This place has gone down the drain, the woman clearly charged me 45 dollars extra, guys always check your bills to be honest they write it down on a paper old school they dont even show you what they charge you for, I calculated it at home than called them back a lady answered the phone saying she cant help me so i left it. This people are so fishy only prefer cash. the food doesn't taste good for a Italian restaurant, over priced not good quality or service at all. i do not recommend this at all.

Italian restaurant that makes you feel at home and relaxed as soon as you walk in.
Water and sanitiser delivered to your table immediately and then the menu. Low to medium prices and a great range on the menu. Just a short stop for lunch today but will be back for a more serious dinner with friends soon.
This place just gives out a warm and friendly atmosphere as well as relaxed.

This family owned restaurant has been around for 33 years! Our meals were good, but not remarkable - we liked our tortellini and Italian salad but didn't like the salmon pasta. The lemon crostata was amazing - really delicious and large enough for two. The service was super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. You can also BYO!

Food 7/10, Ambience 6/10, Service 7/10. Don't let the crappy decor fool you. The food is delicious and priced well. The service is very friendly but don't expect any hipster gear here. It's just good old fashion Italian food done really well. If they spent money on the fitout they could probably charge double.

Delicious fresh homemade pasta. If they have the spinach and ricotta tortellini available when you're there I highly recommend! Definitely worth asking if there are any specials not on the menu.

The restaurant has been renovated at the front. The food is rustic. Pizzas are great. Some pastas not that authentic in my view. A good local to try out.

The only thing we order here is the veal soltimbocca and it is amazing. We keep going back for this dish alone. Lovely staff and great service.

???. We just ordered some take away from here. The lady was nice on the phone, and nice in store, but when we got our meal home - it was average at best, and definitely over priced. The Marinara had very little except for what looked like store bought pasta, and the lasagne was mainly sauce? Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but we would never go back, and can not understand the positive reviews based on our experience. Hope everyone else has better luck ...

This was the worst pizza and pasta I have had to date not to mention the service. We had booked advising of 3 adults and a baby seat prior to arriving only to be greeted by a very rude lady who had told us off for mentioning a baby even though we did! The pasta was very average but the service was appalling. Very disappointing

Been going here 20 years and willl for another 20!. I have been going here for over 20 years! If you want home made good quality typical Italian food - then this place is great. It's a great environment for bringing kids and relaxing. The staff are very friendly, they care about the customer's and are always asking for feedback. I have been a regular for a long time and will continue - Zio Mario's is one of those hidden secrets that has a large customer base that has been going there a long time and continues to be loyal because the food is consistently great.

Terrible food, overpaid and the worst customers service we have ever received. We are NEVER going back. The most upsetting thing is that we asked to speak with someone and were treated with disrespect. A true Italian momma would never treat people like that. What a shame!

I'm not sure how to describe this place, all I can say is wow, the staff don't really have a clue what's going on, unfortunately they has run out of spaghetti the night we dined but were told "other stuff" was available to replace it. The food was really just indescribable, if you like 1 ton of Pizza ham in your carbonara I'm sure you will like it although for me the food was just inedible and simply disgusting. Wow

This restaurant was recommended to me so I had high expectations. The people were lovely and service great but we were disappointed with the food. The pizza was burnt and my Venetian Scallops was quite stodgy - yes stodgy scallops. Scallops are delicate but not when served with a very oily, heavy tomato based sauce and polenta. It sat like lard in my stomach. They are very family oriented and provided my son with exactly what he wanted. He was also entertained by the pizza chef and given his own bit of pizza dough to shape and bake - a very nice touch. We may give them another go in the hope that this was just a bad food night.

Sweet aromas. Seafood Mediterranean Is divine. I love that I can smell this great little restaurant from a mile away. The garlic aromas are mouth watering whenever I am near. A testament to the great food inside. Quirky and personal.

Amazing dessert!. A hidden restaurant with a very dodgy sign, tucked behind a main road. Was quite disappointed with the pizza. Don't get me wrong, it was certainly good but after reading reviews, I was expecting lots of toppings and flavour. What I received was a very very generous (possibly too generous) helping of cheese and just the average amount of other toppings. The sauce had a nice sweetness to it and I liked the thin crunchy crust.<br/><br/>However what really stood out was the desserts! Oh gosh! I have experienced few desserts this yummy. We got the cannoli which was made fresh and the tiramisu. I've never had cannoli but the exterior was crunchy and the inside custard was not too sweet and had a beautiful vanilla and liquer flavour. The tiramisu was absolutely amazing. I've become addicted lately and tried a few and have found a lot of restaurants just overdose on the mascarpone cream and don't do the layers properly. However this tiramisu was perfect! There were nice even layers of everything and I couldn't stop eating :) <br/><br/>I definitely will be coming back here just for the dessert.

Yummy Italian. Have eaten here many times and enjoyed the food on every visit. The Garlic Prawns are to die for! Pizzas are exciting and made with fresh ingredients. All friends we have taken here have been very impressed. We always pick something from the deserts stand by the counter to take home and indulge after dinner...very yummy. Highly recommend this for any occasion.
