Review Pho An - Brisbane

Just delicious, authentic food. Super friendly staff, favourite go-to Vietnamese restaurant for sure!

This place sells pho mainly - everything else is a side or addition including some broken rice dishes! A stone’s throw away from Inala Plaza, this restaurant is situated in a precinct with plenty of free parking. The menu is very simple whilst their sides are noteworthy like fried chicken wings. For me, their deep fried pork chop is the bomb but people do go there for their pho. As for the pho broth itself; it’s mildly rich, earthy and fragrant. It’’s less on the sweet side and more on the savoury. Also, make sure you get the pandan jelly after your meal - it’s great as a dessert!!

Tastes so good! Rare beef slice in the pho is fresh and chewy. Especially the bbq pork steak is so tender and tasty with rich lemongrass flavor.

The varieties of Beef Pho here are highly regarded. I always have the Pho Dac Biet. Their Beef Balls are super bouncy! Highly recommended.

Food tasted absolutely delicious. You can clearly tell the Pho has efforts put into it instead of using cheaply made ingredients. Both was nicely done, not too salty & full of msg. Salad was fresh & hearty. Grilled pork a bit hard but marinated very well, my wife complimented nonstop. Spring rolls were crispy and delicious. Food was served very fast. Definitely will be back again.

Broth really good. I would’ve liked a bit more mint with it, was a bit stingy on that front. The meatballs are very good and I think they missed the brisket in it? The restaurant and kitchen are really clean👍. The iced coffee was insanely sweet, lots more condensed milk in it than I am use to👎so will ask for less next time. I usually go to Tan Thanh in Inala Plaza but will definitely return here for another try. The bloke on the floor (owner?) was really good and very accommodating.

Lovely clean space, service was average. Definitely has one of the best Pho's in town, broth is clean and flavourful. Pandan dessert was also nice and refreshing. Reasonable price for everything Update: came back to try their combination pork chop & broken rice - pork was a bit dry but overall really good seasoning ♧ combination vermicelli - not a lot of meat but you get a variety of other sides. Nothing spectacular but still enjoyable ♧ iced coffee - average. Way too much condensed milk, very sweet and thick, you can't really taste any coffee

Some of the best pho we’ve had in Brisbane and at great value too! Our only issue, as non-Vietnamese speakers, was difficulty in ordering with the staff. Fried chicken wings were fabulous too!

I think that this place is really underrated and not many people know about it unless they live close-by or are connected to the Vietnamese community. They specialise in Pho and do a stellar job at executing this dish. There is plentiful toppings on top of your fresh rice noodles coupled with some hand-made beef balls (definitely a must-try). The restaurant may look abit dingy but don't let that put you off! It's definitely worth the food.

Phuong Tran and I visit for some Vietnamese Soup noodles. We order a Combination Beef Pho and a Raw Beef/Beef Ball Pho. The Beef broth is hot, tasty and aromatic while the cuts of Beef are fresh and tender. The Beef Pho is recommended!

I really enjoyed the food here. My husband got the pho with beef balls and tripe and I got the broken rice and a longan drink. It was definitely a large serving of both meals (fantastic) and the flavours were great. My husband said it was the best pho he has tried in Inala. The longan drink was punchy and had lots of longan in it. The only criticism is that our table wasn't wiped down fully when we sat down.

Fly in the food. No apology at all... when the owner saw the fly he only said “ oh I wonder how “ terrible service and no discount or anything at all

Pho sure the best pho in inala area at the moment. Out of all that I’ve tried in and around the 4077, this place is the clear winner imo. The broth just has that much more depth of flavor and complexity. Service is good and food comes out quick which is great too.

Awwwesome Pho! Ignore my previous reviews saying that I had found the best rare beef pho, it has since been found and it is at Pho An. The noodles are long and silky, the broth has a beautiful depth of flavour, the meat was tender. It was a bit weird that it was in a square burger patty shape and I had to break it apart, but I managed :) The serve was generous and reasonably priced. The mountain herbs, sprouts and chilli was incredibly fresh.
The restaurant is bright, efficient, and so clean!
I felt I was back in Vietnam while eating here, all they serve is noodle soup and the assorted drinks.
I love that the broth is bubbling away in the kitchen, so it only takes a minute for your steaming order to arrive. I also appreciate that the chopsticks aren’t kept on the table for everyone to put their germs on. And I enjoyed the tea.

Side note, I crave pho when I feel unwell and I am happy to report I am healed!

Went here with the family for our weekend pho fix.
No guesses that the specialty here was pho - the choices: beef (and special beef) and chicken.

We were promptly shown to a table, and our orders taken. Note, I'm not even sure if they have a menu or different sized options. Confidently though, we ordered 'pho tai' and 'pho dac biet'. A hot thermos of complimentary tea was presented.

Thirty seconds later - a large plate of fresh herbs, lemon, chillies and beansprouts were brought to the table. Another sixty seconds - all four steaming bowls of pho was ready for our consumption.
We also ordered additional bowls of beef balls and tendons.

The broth was largely clear and lightly fragrant, reminiscent of northern-style pho. Albeit, there was still a familiar lingering sweet-salty taste hours afterwards. The pieces of meat were tender, however there was a minimal amount available in my 'pho tai'. The noodles, as per prior reviewers, were exceptional - fresh, silky and al dente.

Service was quick and efficient. Reasonable prices ($13 per bowl of pho - which were quite generous servings). Casual ambience.

Overall, a solid restaurant for quick, no-fuss steaming bowls of pho!

I've been told about this place, and after an article which had the best places to get your pho fix had to try.

Being a local way back, I knew the group of shops that this place would be around, so as you come into view of the shops it is right on the right hand side of the car park.
Plenty of parking and you cant miss the restaurant.

Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Coming here late afternoon, it was empty so we had the whole place to ourselves. No need for menu we just order the special beef noodle soup. Not too long after ordering, 2 extra large serves hit our table, along with the condiments, blanched bean sprouts, basil, lemon, fresh chilli and spikey herb.

At first glance this bowl is big, and looks inviting, and it did not disappoint. Everything you expect from a nice bowl of pho, very well balanced and good serving of meat, meatballs, and tendons.

If you need a nice bowl of steaming pho, give this place a try. Not the best looking place, but does serve up good pho.

After reading Ronnie and Joe's reviws, this Pho place has been on my list for a long time! Finally made a trip last week and sure was not disappointed!

As soon as I entered the Restraunt, I felt as though I was in Vietnam with Vietnamese music on, rustic exterior and interior, flashing LED lights and Vietnamese locals!

Service was super efficient and food arrived within five minutes of ordering. Ordered rare beef and beef ball pho. It was tasty and totally satisfied my pho craving. Ticked all of what good pho supposed to be √√√Fresh ingredients, slurppy noodle and great broth!

Definately not a fancy place but recommend all pho lovers to give it a try to enjoy pho 😄

I've been here for quite a few times now and just love how authentic, fresh and delicious their Pho is here. My dad is actually close friend's with the owner of this restaurant and I go here after my gym sessions sometimes for my post-meal to fuel myself up with goodness.

Here's what I liked about this place:

- Fast service.
- Fresh, yummy and fulfilling food.
- Probably one of the better Pho places that I've tried compared to everywhere else in Inala.

Things I didn't like:

- Price wise, it's a bit on the plus side for what you're getting in terms of portion but I don't really mind it. I think the big bowl size justifies it for me.

- Restaurant setting/decor.

- The fact that it's in a ghetto area lol.

This is one of my go to's if I ever want authentic tasting Pho that's enough to satisfy myself.

I meant to try this eatery out after I read Joe K's review last year; however, it was the public holiday and it was closed. Eventually, I arranged to have a lunch here last Sunday and the outcome was no regret on the second attempt. Menu is limited to serve Beef Pho that may be the reason why the broth was so good with nice depth of flavour because they are focussing on doing a nice Pho to the public. Ordered a large and a medium "Pho dac biet" with another Medium "Pho tai bo vien". As mentioned, the broth of both types of Pho is sooooo delicious and I am sure that they make the soup out of Ox bones (the secret recipe may have some chicken bone). Ingredients were plenty and authentic. Herbs and bean sprouts were accompanied with generous portion. I love the bean sprouts that they served. They seemed like just came out from the farm, soooo fresh! Hero is the noodle, they are very silky and I reckon they are the best in Brisbane as far as the noodle of the Pho that I have tasted in the past. Highly recommended foodies to try. May I tell you that the price is cheap too. 1 x large and 2 x med bowls of Pho only costed me $35.50!

The pho here is definitely better than the others in Inala, lighter on the msg, but has much better flavours. Although they don't use sliced beef for their basic pho (it's more like minced beef), the taste is still pretty good. The biggest highlight of the place is the soup, and the homemade chilli paste, which is one of the best I've had in Brisbane.

Food 5/10
Price $$$ above average
Service 5/10
*** Just an average Phở place but the price is 1-2 dollars more expensive than other places at inala.

Definetly in the middle of the ghetto, located in a back street of Inala. Was sat down straight away as restaurant was at about 40% capacity. Had a elderly Vietnamese lady pass me the menu and waited while we ordered. Knew what we wanted which was two bowls rare beef pho and the special, noticing there was no prices on the menu it was a little strange and requested a medium and large size anyways. Food can out very quickly, pho was good tasting. Went to pay and total was $29!!??! Most expensive pho I have ever had, ever! Short while after dinner defiantly large amounts of MSG, super thirsty afterwards so prob won't return.

Wanted to go out to eat some Asian cuisines so my mate took a split shift break from work to take me to a pho restaurant recommended to him , which is Pho An at skylark. Apparently they get pretty packed and they're known for only their pho's so we decided to try this place out. It's definitely situated in the ghetto but we were still reluctant to try this place. We were quickly seated without menus and the waiter was already ready to take our order which was ???? Anyways the meal portions was great , the soup itself was nothing amazing but still satisfying, it was about 35 degrees on this day and we were sweating our butts off wondering why the restaurant had aircon but didn't have it on, instead they just had one ceiling fan on. Upon finishing up the soup my mate felt something in his mouth and spat it out which appeared to be a finger nail, I was hoping it was a piece of bone or something but after 5 minutes of inspecting it, it was indeed a dirty chopped off fingernail. I was absolutely disgusted and refused to finish my food and my friend didn't want to make a big deal out of it so we just paid our bill , said thank u and left. If you feel risky and want mediocre pho then this is the place for you .

Their food is good, comes out fast. For two people $30-40. Newly Regular customer but a little annoyed the fact they round up my bill. My bill was $29 but cashier said make it to $30. Even though it's just a dollar, I usually tip them in their tip jar. Not sure if I want to come back to their restaurant anymore.
