Finished a task early in CBD and felt like to have light brekkie nearby prior to heading back to south side for work. Have not visited the Spring Hill area for a while so decided to explore. Well, there are heaps of eateries around the area but not easy to find a parking space. I was so lucky to get one so decided to go across the road and visited this café. First step walked in, I was attracted by the wall pictures at the far end of the dining area, they gave me the warm feeling. Approached the counter and ordered a croissant with ham & cheese and my flat white. I had the brew of Veneziano coffee before but it is not on my favourite list. Having said that I did appreciated the pouring technique of the barista. Forgot to ask not to toast my croissant but it was surprised that they only warmed it up without toasted. That made me return.....
There is a reason this place has managed to survive in such a quiet and secluded area. If you're looking for some good cafe style food, I would recommend this place. As you walk in, you're greeted by absolutely lovely staff who really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The restaurant itself is clean and quite light inside giving it a very airy, relaxed feel. They provide a variety of dishes, such as burgers, sandwiches, noodle dishes, seafood and more. They also have a pizza bar where you pick as many of your own toppings as you like and they sure aren't stingy with them, I sometimes struggle to finish my pizza. The food here is fresh and also quite good value for money. I wouldn't say that I think the food is amazing as I'm not the biggest fan of cafe style food, but for what it is it's good.
Café Da Vina is our absolute family favourite. We come here especially for the breakfast, which is great value for money and very yummy. The owners and the staff understand what good service means and that is why we return. Great food and coffee with great service - What more could you want!! The menu has a good selection to choose from and the café is always clean. Love it!!! Thanks Café Da Vina.
