Fun With Kaylee
Convenient for a meal before a performance. Very quick service. The sauces are on point. Mains are dressed up but lacked there full potential in flavour. Bao's are deconstructed you have to get your hands dirty. Not so great when your dressed up for a night out.

The staff were so very kind and helpful with my dietary restrictions, I can't thank them enough for finding me a delicious dinner!

I agree with previous reviewers that the food is a bit odd. It’s not Asian but not an effective fusion either. Squid ink baos with pulled lamb is odd - it’s sort of Italian meets Asian meets American?. And who serves massamum with chicken? It’s always served with beef.
That said, the wait staff are so professional! We had an issue with our food and they were friendly in arranging fresh replacements and ensuring all was fine. The 4 star review is for the wait staff - the food was 2 star.

We have been frequenting this resturant for many many years and have always looked forward to enjoying a nice meal before the show. Was very disappointed with the new Asian menu. We love Asian food but I would not come here for it. Sorry guys you missed the mark big time.

Great place to eat if you don't want to go far to QPAC. Usually eat here before a performance. Food is excellent and tasty and arrived very quickly. Clean and well run.

If the meals were more responsibly priced this may be a 3/5. Though the name "bistro" suggests a classy meal out before the theatre, this is definitely "cafeteria style" dining. If you are looking for fast food, which is fairly overpriced, this is the place to go! Meals are not made to order; salads arrive in prepackaged containers, which is visible to costumers when collecting food on trays from the bar.
Staff are astonishingly uneducated about the menu. Two members of staff were asked regarding vegetarian options and neither knew what was available. Very confusing and disconcerting for the consumer. For families with young, hungry children, and older Australians looking for a quick fix. Not for regular "bistro" goers.

Ordered 2 plates of Mooloolaba prawns and squid ink pasta at 6.15 last night before going to Beautiful. Waited for our buzzer to go off. At 7pm asked staff when our meals would be ready. At 7.10 told our buzzer mustn’t be working and we needed to have new meals cooked. Our show started at 7.30. We were finally given 2 plates of very ordinary looking food. A fellow diner commented on how bad it looked. As for prawns. We would have been lucky to have a whole prawn if we put all of the tiny pieces together. We ended up having to leave hardly touched food so as not to see the start of the show. We were not the only people with buzzer problems. I asked for a refund and it wasn’t offered. At $27 per plate it was a very expensive meal that we couldn’t eat and my elderly mother was starving. Staff were not at all helpful.
