Roti Place đ˛ in West End đżâ â â
â â
Finally able to dine in again đ This is a nice Authentic Malaysian restaurant serving fresh daily made Roti. Recommended by our beautiful guest critic and West End Local @itscharlottemoon đ @kimberleyndinh could not stop raving about the Sweet Roti Kaya so would definitely recommend trying this for a sweet treat at the end of your meal. The savoury roti had a lovely curry sauce but was slightly more crumbly than our liking. We felt that there should have been more roti with the dish to share. The Rendang Beef had a very nice flavour with subtle spices. The Hainanese chicken was lovely and moist, although we feel like there could have been more sauce to put on the rice. Overall, the food was very homely and wholesome. We would definitely like to come back to try out some of their seafood dishes and desserts. â â

2 trips
1st is the fish curry, so delicious I had to mop up the leftover curry with ll the rice. Piping hot, spicy and lots of fish and vege
2nd ordered char keuy teow. Good wok hei but lacking flavour.
Would love to go back and have other Malaysian dishes
The place looks new. Food was slightly above average. Wouldve loved it better if they tasted richer in other spices. Instead of just sweet and salty.
We ordered the plain and egg prata. The curry was watered down. A little disappointing. Was looking forward to this.
Guiness pork was pretty good. Would order that again. It was crispy and flavourful.
Cereal prawn was good. They should add more curry leaves and chilli...
Char kway teow was the most authentic dish there. Good char and level of spiciness.
Would visit again for the chilli crab and buns.
Food was yummy, portions were good and service was spot on. Great place for authentic Malaysian food. Would definitely recommend the samba chicken and all roti.
Decided to try this place base on a recommendation from a friend. Really glad I drove all the way here for it! I ordered the Nasi Goreng, Chicken Satay and a Cendol Sundae for dessert. The Nasi Goreng was good, not too oily and had a good portion of nuts and Ikan bilis. The chicken satay was amazing! It’s nothing like the authentic satay back in Singapore, Malaysia but it was soaked in sweet gravy which gave it a good taste. Chicken was nice and tender. To finish it off, I had the cendol Sundae which was a first for me. Loved every bit of it and would to go back and try the other items on the menu. Plenty of seats and reasonably priced.
Fully recommend this place to all.
Finally managed to visit Roti Place in West End today for lunch and it was really nice, I ordered the Malaysian fish curry w rice, and it had so much flavour and was full of fish, cabbage, tomato and other veggies. The serving was extremely generous and the place is nicely set out with plenty of space which is nice.
Definitely enjoyed my meal.
We come here for lunch quite a bit. Cheep and cheerful - great bang for buck. Hainanese chicken is my winner. Itâs great watching the chefs make roti through the glass window, too.
Authentic Malaysian dishes! The best by far in Brisbane. Highly recommended. Excellent and fast service. Very enjoyable and satisfying meals. Generous portion sizes. Very busy on Saturday evening. Nearly full capacity, yet the food came very quickly. Will be back. At least 5 stars âď¸
Iâd walked past Roti Place a few times but was usually going elsewhere. However, last night I was hanging out with friends and didnât have plans - so luckily we stumbled upon Roti Place. I ordered the âMalaysian Combination Laksaâ and the âExotic Lycheeâ drink. I was pleasantly surprised by both.
The drink was delicious, it had the perfect levels of sweetness and fizz. Accompanied with the zesty shredded mint, it was a perfect drink. 5/5!!!
The laksa was super yummy. The broth itself was one of the best ones I have ever had. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the fish balls didnât have the usual strength of âfishyâ flavour. It was a nice change. The long pieces of scored squid were so tender and delicious. This laksa was overall really good. 4/5.
My dining companions ordered the âHainanese Chickenâ and the âSatay Chicken Skewersâ. Whilst I didnât try these dishes, they were both very pleasing to the eye.
Most restaurants in West End are quite small, however the interiors of Roti Place were very clean and spacious. The decor was quite modern and I enjoyed being able to see into the kitchen.
I would definitely come back, as the âBeef Rendangâ, âOatmeal Prawnsâ and the âMalaysian Fish Curryâ really caught my eye. Thank you to the kind staff at Roti Place.
Enjoy đ

The staff did the right things checked my friend and I our QR check-in green tick. Food was yummy, no complain at all, it will be nice one day have beer and food here, watch the ball game on their TV at same time.đdefinitely will come back again.
Not quite authentic West End Malaysian food
This is a good option for Malaysian food in West End. It is really great that you can see the chef making the roti through the large kitchen window. The customer service is great - the wait staff are friendly and attentive and the food is served very quickly. We've been here a few times - we've tried the roti canai, laksa, char kuey teow and Nyonya seafood. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable and the food is very good, but for me the authentic flavours of Malaysia were missing - chilli, spice and belacan (shrimp paste).
Lunch menu is amazing value for money, starting at $9.90 for a good portion of food. If you're willing to spend a little more and order off the main menu there's even more delicious offerings to choose from, I really like the satay chicken skewers, which, coming in at $14.50, is still reasonable. Food is also always fast even in large groups.
First visit to this branch of Roti Place after having been to the city branch a few times. It was unplanned, but a good outcome cos the food came pretty quickly and was satisfyingly tasty. Would be happy to have any of these items again:
* B3 roti telur, $8 - roti filled with scrambled egg
* C7 nasi goreng, $14.50 - Malaysian style fried rice with chicken and seafood
* E14 salted egg yolk prawn, $22 - battered prawn coated with a buttery salted egg yolk sauce
* teh tarik, $5 - Malaysian pulled milk tea, served hot
Pro tip: ask for a table towards the back if you want a better view of the roti flipping action.
Enjoyed the Singapore Chilli spanner crabs and Char Kway Teow and Roti Canai on a Wednesday night during their Malaysian National Day celebration promotion period. Their food was delicious and really brought back memories of our trip to Malaysia and Singapore. Will be back again. If only they have another restaurant near the Nundah area!
Tried this place for first time today via takeaway. Service was prompt & order was ready to the minute. Got a couple dishes to try. I must say it was pretty good. Serving size is definitely worth the price. Had a lot of leftovers. Will be back soon to try other dishes đ
Best roti I ever tasted and it was only the 'plain' one! Can't wait to go back and try others đ The curry, the mixed vegetables and the seafood were incredibly fresh, well-seasoned and delicious to say the least. Great customer service and prompt food arrival from the time ordered. Calm and pleasant atmosphere. The prices very appropriate. Definitely high quality food. LOVED it! Highly recommend.
