- Known this burger place since around may last year (2018).
- have always wanted to try the place but never get the chance too, until that one faithful day. Since then I could never leave Brisbane without eating the burger.
- have always order the fat belly burger. (And I have order it more than 30x for sure)
- one of a very few places in Brisbane who actually served spicy food (like really spicy).
- the owner (I assume) is really friendly and nice. He gave me the out of menu spicy level for my burger because I love spicy food.
- the burger : they have a really nice soft buns. Really great buns! It has really really good pickles. I’ve never been a fan of pickles until I ate in this place. Now i have to even order for extra pickles! Chicken is tender, with a good amount of coating and crispiness. The spices really nice and spicy. I love the mayo that they have with it. And also a balance amount of lettuce :)
- the sides.... are amazing too. One of a few place in brisbane who serve great mac and cheese. I love their crinkle cut chips too. These are the reasons why i have to order with someone just so i can have half and half for both sides! I’m planning to try other sides cause they all look good... but it just means i got to order with more people or spend more money 😅
This place is definitely worth the try (and the money). Will never get bored of this place. (They have really cool decor too!).
I’m super excited and keen for people to try this brisbane hidden gem! I don’t usually bother to write down review.. but i was upset to see this place only get 3.4 stars. Can’t wait to go back! :)
Had a great meal on Friday night. Chicken burgers nice juicy chicken, spicy sauce.
The sides were all awesome - chips,corn & veggies very tasty indeed.
We all agreed we will be back for more (the wings looked especially scrumptious!)
This is the best place for chicken!! Try it! You won't be sorry! The red hot in the burger have the right amount of spice to compliment the rest of the burger!
When i saw this come to Brisbane i had to try it. I love Nashville hot chicken and wanted to see how it would compare to the real deal in Nashville which used to be where I lived.
The burger was amazing!! nearly on par with my favourite fried chicken place in nashville. I will definitely be returning for a burger.
Yum!!! Delicious fried chicken, good sized meals and good beer. This place has been open for roughly 3 months and although has a limited menu, does it perfectly. We had the burgers, tenders and wings and enjoyed them all. Will be back soon. Hopefully word of mouth travels as you could quite easily miss this place as it needs some marketing. Does fill up quickly so book a table as its small.
WOW absolutely WOW!!! So happy with this place that l don't even know where to begin. Everything is so spot on here. Service is incredible. Was lucky to meet Andy who took the time out to actually sit with us and get to know us. I don't think l ever got that kind of service before. Food was ridiculously amazing. That chicken....seriously!!! Hands down the best fried chicken in the world!! Yes l went there lol. We got 2 burgers. One southern style and another mild. Mild is l would say a bit hotter than a KFC zinger burger. I got the quarter thigh red hot and it was spot on for me and it didn't disappoint. Try the buttery creamed corn. Best side dish ever. Fat Belly Jack's has now become one of our family favourite restaurants and we can't wait to go back. Thank you Andy for making it special.
Who can say no to a new place to sink their teeth into crispy, juicy, delicious fried chicken? Definitely not me 😉. Founded by the Sydney burger legends Hashtag Burgers, their new venue is set to take the title of Brisbane's Best Fried Chicken... And for good reason, it's exceptionally amazing.
Great service, great atmosphere and great fried chicken. My partner and I came here for lunch and loved it. We had the fat belly burger, tenders, Mac n cheese and bacon fried greens. Highly recommend!!
Went here for the first time last Saturday night with my wife. After winner winner closed, we were looking for somewhere that did good chicken burgers and wings. Fat Belly Jacks hit the mark! The food was simple but delicious. The burgers are pretty big, as are the wings so you won’t leave feeling hungry. It’s also really well priced. There were quite a few people in the place but our food still arrived quickly. They also have a huge range of whiskey and bourbon as you’d expect. Can’t wait to go back!
