I've tried a lot of sushi restaurants on the Northside of Brisbane and this one is my favourite! All the food tastes so good, easy to order on ipads, has a sushi train going around and friendly staff. A lot of the food is made fresh to order too! A good selection of hot meals, sushi rolls, drinks and dessert.

We had takeaway and the food and service were both excellent. Very fresh tasting food with a good range across the menu for vegetarians as well. Staff were very polite and ran through everything with us to make sure we got all our food. It was delicious! Definitely a step up from what you would expect from a sushi train. We will definitely be going more often and highly recommend the yam chips.

I've been coming to Sushi Metro for 6 years. I've moved all over the north side and I'm still really excited any time I get to eat here. The menu changes slightly, but the quality is always the same. Delicious, wholesome food.

Worst chicken curry I’ve ever had, chicken tasted like sliced up frozen chicken nuggets and came with potato chips but no rice? What Japanese curry dish comes with potato Chips in replacement of rice?

Really 3.5, but I wasn’t feeling generous enough to round that up to 4.
The sashimi is thick, but the fish didn’t have that ultra clean fresh taste. The wasabi was good. The soy didn’t quite hit the mark.
The various sushi we ordered didn’t have any pizzaz, though it was nice enough. Most of what went round on the sushi train was very heavily focused on western tastes, which is a shame but understandable.
I suppose the takeaway here is that the food was serviceable. So, three stars

I love this place so much! We are regulars and love the iPad option. If you can't find what you want, just order it! I am not a big fish eater and this sushi has a lot of chicken options that I love.

Took my 7 year old daughter there for our Friday night dinner and we had a great time. The service was always friendly and prompt and all the food we ate was fresh and tasty. I will definitely be coming back.

A big disappointment - too many of the dishes were fried or drowned in mayonnaise and/or sauce. Unfortunately not the place to go if you are after authentic Japanese cuisine. The fact that one of the staff members brought in a Subway sub for their lunch was a telling sign...

Went to this sushi joint the other day. I would say that the sushi tasted very well although I was a bit disappointed with the meals. I order a Japanese Karaage Curry which was underwhelming due to the taste and the non-existent rice that would be usually served with a dish like this. Service could also be a bit better as staff were just casually chit-chatting in the corner although they were still very friendly. I would most-likely not go back as I prefer other Japanese restaurants although I believe overall it is still a viable option!

Great food mixed with the ability to order from the tablets on the tables makes it easy and convenient! I've always experienced great tasting and fresh sushi. My only complaint is that they can get very busy in peak service times however it is always worth the wait or worth ordering take away.

This is my fave sushi train joint in Brisbane. It's efficiently organised and the sushi is delicious. The price is very fair. The staff are great - impeccably organised. You never feel ignored or forgotten, but you never feel bothered or interrupted either. I can't speak about the technicality of sushi, but I know that Sushi Metro has the 'yummy' factor. It's all so morish. The variety is just right - plenty of choices, but the menu isn't overwhelming or cluttered. You can grab what you see from the train or order something you don't see. The touch pad ordering system is great and easy to use - you press a few buttons to order your choices made fresh. It's easy to get carried away trying different things. If I had to find a negative, the seating around the train track is a bit squashy unless you can score a table. To get a table, you need 3-4 people. So if there's just 1 or 2 people, it gets a little too cosy during busy times. I normally refuse to eat anywhere crowded, but the sushi & service here is just too yummy to stay away.

With every plate being $3.50 you can't go wrong. Service is very good as it is so quick and fast and sushi is fresh and yummy. I would however venture to Sushi Edo at Newmarket for a better sushi train as the sushi there is a little better. Sushi Metro is still very good just have other preferences!

The food is average, or maybe below average. The point is, their service is shitty!!! Waitresses were just chatting and didn't serve customers at all! I simply cannot believe the service! We are so angry and will never go back!

I like Sushi Metro for a quick bite to eat. I don't think they are the freshest sushi but I like ordering the on the iPad supplied. Ordered food always comes out quickly

Friendly staff and good setup. Unfortunately the food is not the freshest. Even when you order off the menu, it seems to have been pre made. My wife ordered a crunchy roll which unfortunately had a hair in!

Went here at 8.35pm on a Sunday, where they have a sign on the door saying Open and also the hours as closing at 9pm. Gotta say this place was average at best anyway and was only desperate for some food. Won't ever go back after this experience. Not good enough for your hard earned $$$'s.

Great sushi. A wide selection of products, not just sushi. The karaage chicken was awesome. Using ipads to order food was a breeze. The rice was well seasoned. All sushi plates at $3.50 you can't go wrong.

Have been here 3x and keep hoping that it gets better. Unfortunately, it just isn't the freshest place for sushi. Even when it has been fresh (i.e. we have ordered off the menu), the flavours are just not there - can't quite tell whether they are trying too hard OR not trying hard enough! And too much mayo!!! Decently priced but not really worth it for sub-standard sushi…

I came in this week to order takeout, and it was extremely easy on the iPads. The system was a tiny bit confusing at first simply because I was new to it, but the staff were helpful and kind when I asked for help navigating it. I ordered the rice paper rolls, which were incredible, and two different kinds of sushi - crunchy chicken and teriyaki. They tasted authentic and full of flavour, and were more than enough for me to have for lunch. Filling, but left me feeling really satisfied. The service was quick, and the restaurant was tidy and nicely decorated with music playing not too loud like a lot of other places. All the technology is very modern and I really appreciated the cheerful greeting as I came and left. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing friends, thank you very much!

I am a huge sushi fan and have eaten at a lot of sushi trains, I think Sushi Metro is up there with some of the best. Friendly service, quick and fresh. I like that you can place an order on the tablet on the tables for fresh sushi to be made and delivered to your table. Also all of the plates of sushi are only $3.50!

Sushi metro has really fresh and tasty sushi!! It's always good no matter what time of the day it is! The staff are super friendly and happy to see you!! The iPad's make it so easy to order fresh sushi!! It's great!!! More sushi trains should get a iPad system!!!

Not impressive. No expectations. Just needed a quick yummy fresh feed. It wasn't busy, but the food was a little slow, for those that we ordered. The ones we didn't order, to be honest there wasn't much to choose from on the belt. Most of the sushi was laden with mayo. I would rather drive a bit more to get yo sushi edo at Newmarket

Good sushi train all plates are $3.50. Limited variety on train but you an order off an ipad and uts made fresh. Serves beer as well u like some trains

I'm not a huge sushi fan but I really like this place. I don't usually like the train setup either, but they seem to have a much better amount of tables than most others (as opposed to the bar style seating). The ordering/menu screens are great as well! I recommend the chicken karage, chicken katsu and the inside out style sushis
