Definitely ignore the low rating ... trust me their foods are delicious. This is my first time and ordered:
- wagyu beef in egg sauce 5/5: one of the best one I’ve eat so far. The beef really tender and the gravy was totally delicious and I can just dig in it
- Mongolian Beef 3.5/5: love the beef but sauce was a bit too sweet to me
- Hainam Chicken rice 3/5: It was okay ... good but not special
- plain congee 4/5: even only plain but it was so good

All foods came in big portion at good prices and for luch package include free hot drink. The girl that served us also very nice, very friendly and helpful

Time to update my review so we stroll in to a cool Woka Woka on Australia Day for lunch. The restaurant is half full and the wait staff are attentive. We order two mains and an entree to share. Our meals are served in under 15 minutes. Phuong Tran’s Wonton Soup is served hot, the broth is tasty but the Won Tons are only average.
Rating: 3.5/5.0

The Breadcrumbed Oysters look nice, presented with flying fish roe atop the seafood sauce. Served hot, the fresh oysters and crisp breadcrumb are yummy. At $9 this dish is a winner!
Rating: 4.5/5.0

My Wagyu Sirloin Steak ($22) meal comes with a mushroom sauce and a pitifully tiny salad. This medium-rare steak is poorly trimmed and a third of the steak is full of gristle. The other two thirds of the steak is tender and tasty. The mushroom sauce is almost tasteless and the sliced mushrooms are canned. A disappointing meal!

Staff are friendly and helpful. But after 4 visits in the past year I am still unable to improve on my rating.

I found it pretty good. Delicious food. Fairly consistent. Big portions dine-in and takeaway. Laksa, waygu beef, fried rice, they were all not bad. Sort of a regular now.

Ordered takeaways last night. Two fried rice and two fried noodles. Specifically requested for no salt and no MSG. All 4 dishes were cooked as per instructed. We are extremely impressed and due to our change in circumstances, we are still able to have takeaways. Most stores which we have been to are unable to achieve this as they would usually pre-marinate or pre-cooked their food.
Food tasted fresh.
Will definitely return here as they are most accommodating to our requests.
Job well done and thank you so much!

Don't be fooled by the low ratings for this place. If you know what to order and stick to the asian style meals, the food is sensational .Our family are frequent visitors of this place and the staff have always been very friendly and accomodating to us. Our favourite dishes to order are the special fried rice, salt and pepper pork ribs, salt and pepper calamari, Stir fried chow mein and eggplant with mince and tofu. If you're looking for flavoursome, hearty asian meals which are great value for money then this place is a must to try!

Update: this evening we tried some new dishes the lobster e-fu noodle and wonton soup - both which were yummy! Only con is that the noodles were slightly over cooked.

Very generous portion sizes.

Reluctantly stepped into this restaurant after seeing their poor poor rating of 2.4 on Zomato, we wasn't really sure what we could expect. However this was the only place in the whole Warrigal Square we hadn't checked out, briefly flipped through their menu outside then took a deep breath as we walked in. They are always packed every time we are here. Surely they can't be that bad.

We were greeted promptly by the staff. What I originally wanted to order wasn't available so I went with the staff's recommendation which turned out to be a really great dish, Spicy Sichuan Fish Soup with rice. The flavour wasn't as pungent as the same soup at Sichuan Spice Restaurant in Sunnybank Hills but it was definitely delicious. Combination Chow Mien which is one of the dishes that we love getting from most Chinese places also tasted great. Both dishes were also of good quality and reasonably priced with huge portion that we scratched our head thinking what on earth went wrong with other reviews they have received.

I ended up reading all the reviews for the restaurant and found out they had quite a rough start in 2015 which had earned them sequence of harsh reviews. If you have been to Woka Woka before in 2015 and were disappointed, maybe this is a good time to give them a second chance.

Just want to add my 2 cents, 1) It's quite normal in Asian restaurant for dishes to come out as they are ready and not all at once. Certainly shouldn't be more than few minutes apart. 2) MSG is natural substance you can find in food like tomato, seaweed, cured meat, parmesan cheese, etc. Excessive consumption of MSG, just like that of anything else can cause discomfort and reaction. Different reactions and severity vary from person to person. I am allergic to MSG and the reaction is apparent but quite often find myself voluntarily eating those food containing it since it makes the food tasted so good. I am happy to deal with the consequences. You can call me greedy...anytime.

Always popular with the locals. On a weekday, it's pretty full with Chinese blue collar workers, retirees, young families, and a few tables of Caucasians too.

I like ordering from their lunch menu which is quite extensive and comes with soup and hot drink for 12.50. More than Cha Kee which tends to be more expensive as they don't really have a lunch menu.

The deep fried mantou with condensed milk is not something i see often and coming with congee is interesting but i'm not complaining since it tastes good. Chicken cashew and veg chow mein is great with the textural contrast of chewy / crunchy noodles.

The food is reliable and tasty, always leave full.

Service is good , I love their laksa noodle soup- it's more hk style instead of Malaysian but taste good too. Their HK style milk tea is very nice too.

The Chinese food is good! We had the fried noodles with abalone which was flavoursome and generous, especially for $12. The pecking sauce pork was also a treat, very sweet but cooked well! The service is questionable, the wait staff rushed us to order but then didn't come back to take the order.

We each got the dinner set, which included soup, entree, main meal and drink. My salad was huge so I ended up having just that and taking away my main meal. Everything tasted good. There’s plenty of space between the tables and the service was friendly enough even though it looked like the restaurant was short-staffed. This is a good place for families and small groups to enjoy meals together.

We ended up here one night after arriving to Warrigal Square going for Yumcha but the Yumcha place was actually closed. This place has the largest variety in their menu which oddly reminded me of Coffee Square (used to be in market square) so I was pleasantly surprised they saved our evening ☺️

When I first saw the menu I thought it was to big and had too many diverse dishes on it. If there is one thing Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares has taught us, it is that restaurants that try to do too many menu items end up not doing each dish particularly well. Woka Woka I am happy to say is the exception. It is one of the few places where the actual dishes themselves look better than the photographs! My favourite dishes include their honey chicken wings, popcorn chicken, congee, garlic broccoli, sweet and sour pork ribs, laksa, szechwan beef, crispy skin chicken and mongolian beef just to name a few. I have honestly never had a bad meal there and have started to try a bunch of different things on the menu. Anyways, don't take my word for it, give it a try next time you are in Warrigal Square!
