We've been here a few times and each time has been "meh" - some dishes were ok (and overpriced), but mostly a miss. Most recently we had a dish that was just so salty and the other was so bitter. I'd prefer to go to a number of other places to get better food that costs less.
Newly changed owners (previous owner retired) and his disciple Andrew took over. He is from the new Territories in HK but grew up here in Aussie. Nonetheless he flies back to HK at least a few times a year and hasn't lost touch at all of how real hk food taste like. He only tries to hire fellows HK
Hongkong style cafe. Food is delicious and great atmosphere as well as the staff. You won't be disappointed.
Ordered the beef brisket, was alright. Biggest let down was the fish fillet with bean curd on rice, the fish has a very strong ammonia taste, most likely been sitting in freezer for a long period of time, or it was previously defrost but put back to freezer again, either way, it wasn't pleasant.
Went here today and left with empty stomachs. We ordered duck with rice , the pok chuy looked old , everything on the plate was hot except for the roast duck . Was cold on both our plates. Pretty good, i would rate between 3 and a half to four stars. im not a picky person so its rare for me to be harsh on rating experiences. However the prices are a tad high but i suppose prices this day and age is about the same when eating out almost $15 for a fried pork outlet with and egg on top
I ordered the black pepper beef on noodles it was ready in less than 2 minutes microwaved beef soup on top of dried noodles, it was the worst tasting dish ive had....it tasted like expired can soup... Spent 15 dollars on this dish what a ripp off... DONT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. DONT RUIN YOUR LUNCH OR
