Hidden and tucked down an alley. Type of place which you want to keep secret for yourself, before word gets out and it gets too busy. It's a cocktail bar, no menu just pick your flavours, good if you have no idea what you want but like to drink and not too concerned about cost. Pallet cleanser provided.. if you know what a pallet cleanser is then this place is for you. Price is fair for what you get the service is excellent. Security guard out the front is a top bloke super friendly. Excellent loved this random place.

Had to wait some time for our drinks, all 5 cocktails were terrible. Two girls didn’t even finish theirs. Flavoured vodka with cordial I think. $94 to sober up and force down a vile, over sweet drink. Great setup though! Go with a beer to be safe.

A very intimate and cosy bar. We really enjoyed having drinks made for us based on our preferences, rather than having to choose from a menu. The cocktails were excellent. Highly recommended.

One of the best bars I've been to in Brisbane and away from the riff raff. You are presented with a small drink (free) upon being seated which tastes a little like lime and possibly serves as a palette cleanser. I love that you can have a chat with the staff and they will create a cocktail for you based on your taste. They add unusual flavors such as basil and coriander but they complement the drink well.
Wines are a very reasonable price. They don't list prices on the menu.
My group were seated in a small private room which was quite cosy. Great for a date, I will be coming back my partner at some stage.

Best cocktails in Brisbane. The Cloakroom Bar is setting a new standard for cocktail lounges in Brisbane. Great atmosphere, perfect service and amazing drinks that the bartenders will make to your own personal tastes based on your discussions with them as they seat you. They even gave us a complimentary ‘palate cleanser’ before being served our cocktails, which was a nice touch.

Nice venue, cool concept with the whole "no menu" thing and good service. However, was disappointed with the lack of creativity on the drinks we received. I ended up paying $20 for a drink that was essentially just a gin sour (had asked for something citrus-y with gin.. I would have thought there were some more interesting things that could have been done to make it worth $20..)

Sometimes I like to pretend I'm totally fancy pants: and that alter ego found the ULTIMATE hidden Brisbane laneway bar! Down a dingy alley, up an industrial staircase, through the nondescript door, round a couple bends & voila! Even when you think it's wrong, keep forging ahead to discover an exclusive, sophisticated CBD sanctuary.<br/><br/>This pimped out place is for specialsies; think intimate rendezvous / mature conversations / hipster posing / young suited professionals...not happy hour jelly shots & laybacks.<br/><br/>Without even asking, on arrival we're presented with cold refresher towels (on a filthy muggy day) and palate cleansers - a spiffy pink vodka-based raspberry collins. For the main event there's no wine or cocktail list; instead a focus on personalised beverages based on individual tastes. This led us to a margarita-style cocktail, a fruit forward rose & a dry Alsace pinot blanc. Fabulous! <br/><br/>A few things detracted from a perfect score...there's a distinct lack of pricing info. Thank god it was my colleagues' shout cos just the cocktail & one glass of wine came to (clears throat) $37. There was also zero music. We craved a muted hipster cocktail playlist or down tempo DJ set. And heads up: it's a food-free zone. Not even bar snacks or a bowl of nuts. <br/><br/>Ineffably unique. My cinderella self is likely to return on the rare occasion she needs to impress and/or is super flush. And if the fancy pants are freshly pressed from the cleaners.
