Review Hungry Jack's - Brisbane

Kevin James Van Duuren
Hungry Jack's Burgers šŸ” šŸ˜‹ First thing first! The name, and the history behind it was for me an I opener. This would never happen where I come from. So iff you still interested why it's not called Burger King go find out on Wikipedia. My experience was overall good. Quality, choice of products and quick serving of there products. Located on a corner of a busy street with inside and outside place to enjoy your snacks and meals. I recommend this place for a visit with friends and family members. šŸ‘Ŗ Cheers.

Very happy with the service and the food was hot and served fresh. Nice big eating area upstairs and toilets. Shame the toilets needed a clean but besides that we had fun and got a takeaway warheads sour watermelon frozen drink.

Ordered through their app and received 2 missing burger and a wrong burger. Paid through their app and delivery but still had to come back just for them to say they can't do anything about it and that menulog should handle the complaints. Clearly management needs improvement to be able to handle this situation, it is an inconvenience to your customer and also blaming menulog for getting orders incorrect is not right. Staffs also need re-training.

Awesome quality control..not. Couldnā€™t have dished up a soggier box of onion rings had they tried . Shame on you

Rebel whopper burnt and so cold the cheese didn't even melt! Chips also cold. Very disappointed ā˜¹ļøā˜¹ļøā˜¹ļø

Canā€™t go wrong with hungry jacks. The wait on vege / vegan whopper is a bit crazy, but you have to get use to that I guess. Upstairs eating area is a nice escape in a hot summers day. Would recommend avoiding on weekend nights due to the clientele.

Picture speaks a thousand words. The burger tasted okay though, that's why 2 stars.

Too bad customer service on many times. I have been suffering many time of no care customer service. Staffs donā€™t care about customer is waiting at the line and just do thing at the drink counter. It looks like they are blind. Then staffs service the customer in behind. No care of who has been line up for a while. Oh mate! whatā€™s a bad customer service. I went there tonight on 09/05/2022 at 11.20pm and this will be the last time I will come to this store. I feel like donā€™t want to come to any other stores of Hungry Jack for a while.

I have been having breakfast here since weeks now and itā€™s delicious. I love the hash browns :)
The breakfast combo of burger/cheese toast, pikelets and coffee/hot chocolate is a deal to steal.
They have started these amazing vegan burger which is a must try. And donā€™t miss the onion rings....

Hungry Jack's is the most famous food chain in Brisbane,QLD. It's kinda like a McDonald's of India but a lot more fresh & delicious burgers. We have tried their Vegan Cheese Burger šŸ” which was all anyone wants from the burger. It was Big, Cheesy & Messy.šŸ˜
If you have never tried Hungry Jack's Burger then you should definitely try them.
We would recommend this place to everyone.
.
FOLLOW: Vibhuti Chaturvedi
.
.
.
#burger #burgers #cheeseburger #brisbane #brisbaneeats #brisbanefoodblogger #foodie #foodblogger #vegancheeseburger #australia #queensland #sizzlingstreets #foodreview

Just your typical hungry jacks. This one is always busy even at 2am but great after a few drinks. It just the job and the food wasn't disappointing. Didn't have to wait long for our food and it was nice and hot even at that hour.

The burgers are better at Hungry Jacks I have to agree! Mainly due to the addition of the new vegan burger. For the price well worth the money. Lots of fillings & the pattie is moist & tasty. Loved the vegan cheese too

Ordered a whopper. It was a decent burger, with plenty of sauce and lettuce. I only wish the patty could be thicker. Otherwise, a convenient burger joint to hit for a fast and cheap meal.

IG @nanakoot_culinary

All time favourite burger so whenever I comeback to Aussie I will eat as much as I can because in my coutry Indonesia this burger (name under Burger King) is total failed for me. Burger too small, the beef patty not good and most of all itā€™s halal (no pork).
I ordered their premium burger cause I tried last year it was soooo yummy and even my daughter who is not a burger eater actually want to eat it. My choice was Angus Bacon and Cheese Burger meal ..

Service is quick and efficient. The quality of the meals are always consistent. There are many seating options available but due to the usual large crowd you get in the city it is normally very difficult to get a seat.
FrenchToast
Probably the worst customer service, worst quality and worst in terms of cleanliness of all the food chains. This place is only acceptable when you're drunk enough not to care.

Worst Hungry Jacks in Brisbane and possibly Australia. Litter everywhere. Where's the staff to clean up? Probably understaffed as usual. Most often patrons are hassled byĀ drunks and poorly educated and low socially acceptable guys. Often filled with Maori kids with no parents that love them, again asking for handouts. Hungry jacks needs to employ some security for its staff and patrons. Won't be long now till someone gets king hit in this place and sues Hungry Jacks for the lack of duty of care. Most often people head down to MacDonald's on Elizabeth Street where it seems safer.
Most burgers are just room temperature, wonder if its even made when ordered.

This place is the hub for all things greasy. Greasy floors, greasy staff and greasy burgers - what's not to love? One of the quickest Hungry Jack's I've visited, but it gets destroyed by its customers. Litter everywhere, all the time. But doesn't that add to it's character?

Dirty. Smells. Upstairs smells of urine. Food is less than average. Chicken burger was soft and mushy, lettuce was old and browning. Chips limp and soggy, tasting of old oil. One to avoid. I rate it one point because I have to in order to post!

Brisbane mainstay. Was staying in the city and wanted an early breakfast - who else delivers but HJ's. Wandered up there avoiding the homeless people and other interesting Brizvegas citizens at that time of morning. Had the bacon and egg and sausage and egg muffins and sat upstairs where I had gone many times in my youth - even sat in the same seat overlooking the newsagency through those little windows. Trip down memory lane.
The Invisible Food Critic
This used to be the usual hangout/ meeting place since 20+yrs ago when no one had mobile phones. The burgers r made fresh but at poor quality, do not expect much.

One of the biggest money makers in the world. Ill give you a review from someone that worked here. Food gets dropped on the oily trash floor and put back into the boxes....then deep fried for you. Also orders are screwed up often...and homeless people sleep there daily. Also be careful of the drunks and people asking you for food.
Orange Blossom Special
Fast Friendly Service (but itā€™s still fast food). This is a busy location (Queen Street) but the line-up moved constantly and I got to the front quicker than I thought! The girl who took my order was friendly and very fast at putting orders through and getting them ready. I donā€™t know how she did it ā€“ and stayed bubbly ā€“ as my head would have been spinning!

Having been in North America, Iā€™m more familiar with the logo as ā€œBurger Kingā€ so Iā€™ve wanted to try this chain for a while. Still serving familiar items, like the ā€œwhopperā€, I decided to try the Bacon Deluxe Burger ($5.95). I ordered it to go although I was staying there. This location has three levels: Middle floor is where you order and the top and bottom floors have seating (top floor is where the toilets are located). In that I had a lot of purchases with me, carrying my order in a bag up the stairs was easier than trying to use a tray.

Impressed by the efficiency and mannerisms of all the staff, my order appeared after a slight wait and a ā€œsorry about thatā€ which I donā€™t believe was necessary. Iā€™m always happy to wait a bit as it means the food will be hotter and fresher.

I found a table and opened the bag. I retrieved my burger but was disappointed that there were no serviettes. I unwrapped my burger and took a bite. This is where Iā€™m going to try and be as unbiased as possible as Iā€™m not a fan of fast food (I use the term ā€œfoodā€ loosely as Iā€™m not 100% convinced it is).

The sesame bun was very fresh and so were the toppings of iceburg lettuce and the thick slice of tomato. Although this was a bacon deluxe burger I couldnā€™t see or taste much of the bacon, so Iā€™m not sure why this was ā€œdeluxeā€. I could taste, however, the mustard and oddly enough, the mayo, but that was about it. I guess my taste buds arenā€™t in tune with greasy fast food anymore or perhaps the fact that it contains 35.1 grams of fat (13.9 grams of saturated fat, as stated on their Hungry Jackā€™s Nutritional Guide http://www.hungryjacks.com.au/images/pdf/NutriGuide.pdf) is actually what Iā€™m tasting. Either way, I guess this type of food is no longer my style.

Overall, I thought the staff were pretty good (just make sure to get your own serviettes), especially the gentleman who was cleaning the tables and mopping the floor the entire time I was there.

I would recommend this spot to anyone in a hurry, but for price and nutritional value, you would be better off to spend your money at non-fast food restaurants, or better yet, make your own food at home.
