Review Cafe Artease - Brisbane

Cendana Kesuma
Best bubble tea, fruit frappe drink spot in Brisbane! Each drink is made fresh one by one. Real fruits are used in the fruits frappe and fruit drinks, making it a real winner in my book! I also love that you can custom make to your liking. Great seating area too.

After a super long day…. It’s nice to know that @cafeartease always has my back with their delicious teas. One of my favourite bubble tea shops on the city side….. Freshly brewed tea, fresh seasonal fruits, all brewed and mixed together with love and patience (on our side 🤣). #myfavourite #consistent. Cafe artease is the best 🥰. Thanks for all your hard work! ❤️

I’ve been here twice now, and twice I’ve had a great experience. They have many selections of milk to choose from, whether you want lactose-free, soy or almond. If you ever need helping choosing a beverage, do not hesitate to ask the staff as they are extremely helpful and enthusiastic to guide you. I always choose soy milk because of my lactose intolerance and when I left a staff chased after me to make sure I mix my drink before having it because the soy milk separates with the tea. I was very impressed with the level of customer service as they wanted to make sure I had the most enjoyable experience possible. Needless to say, I will be back! The only thing I would recommend is to have more milk tea options, especially Thai milk tea! But that’s just my bias.

This place offers all kinds of drinks one could possibly imagine. The artist behind the counter is able to cater & customise your drink exactly how you want it - whatever you want. Albeit the longer wait time (be prepared for up to 30-45 min wait), it's compensated by excellent quality product - be it a fruit drink, tea, frappe or BBT. I ordered a durian frappe w pearls & witnessed my drink being meticulously concocted - the artist was blending the durian mixture 3 times to achieve the consistency and texture they want. I since tried 5 other personalised drinks & they were all mouth-watering amazing. Hands down the best beverage place in town!! P.S - if they marketed themselves as a special bespoke artisanal beverage shop, they can create an amazing experience and negate all the customers who cannot wait longer than 30-40 minutes.

Excellent bubble tea, hand-crafted quality I'd say. Super friendly staff members who make sure you have the best experience possible. Had the best brown sugar milk tea to-date. The Durian Crepe cake was splendid and spot-on. Good job guys.

Very friendly barista who is willing to customize drinks for you. Love the matcha and oolong! Definitely worth a try! Edit: he sells durian milk tea too! Seasonal though.

Absolutely wonderful little spot. It's a little hard to spot, but it's a totally underrated cafe. The crepe cake and bubble tea is to die for. Unfortunately the bubble tea was so good that I forgot to take a picture of it before finishing 😜

Never got this kind of real Taro Milk Tea ever. Such a great milk tea here! Firmly recommend to everyone. No.1 tea place for me so far.

This place makes (and I can't stress this enough) the best bubble tea in Brisbane

Their brown sugar milk tea is next level. I don't bother buying brown sugar milk tea anywhere else - their competitors pale in comparison.

The staff are polite and happy to make you customised drinks - your imagination is the limit!

Price is more than reasonable for the quality and service you receive

Passion fruit roasted oolong tea was so tasty with the real fruit and had full strength of tea flavour. Enjoyed the tea but the atmosphere was too quiet without music and the arrangement of tables or lighting were dull. Service was quite slow.

Staff took time to get to know my preferences, and recommended me an exceptional 85% dark chocolate milk tea. Followed up to check if i enjoyed it, cant commend her enough!

On the way retuned home after the Sunday lunch @ the Newmarket Hotel, we drove past the Kelvin Grove campus of QUT. Remember there are some bubble teas shops opening inside the campus so went in for exploration. After we parked the car, we walked down to the road and discovered this place. Located at an eye-catching position definitely is an advantage to its business. Venue is very big with just three tables inside seems odd. Having said that service is very friendly. We ordered a grapefruit with roasted Oolong tea and added extra pearls. When the bubble tea was on our table, we were both shock to see so many pearls with three large slices of grapefruit. There are strong taste of Oolong and the pearls are very Q (the best pearls so far that I had in the past). 👍 If the layout could be more contemporary, it may deserve full mark on this review.
Rating 4.5/5

This place is the best, glad i talked to the barista for recommendations. Wanted a dessert drink, got the most decadent coconut mt in the world. Amazing service.

Never disappoints. The owner/manager seems to always be there; and is very friendly. Definitely recommend the brown sugar milk tea and matcha milk tea + pearls. Authentic, highly quality tea. No artificial syrups like most other places, so the teas may not be what most people are familiar with.

The brown sugar and roasted oolong milk tea is a total knockout! Hands down one of the most creative and interesting coffee and bubble tea cafes in town. Jun is always there, pays attention to detail, and puts a real sense of ‘craft’ into his work. Can’t ask for more really.

Amazing drinks. Arguably the best tea place in Brisbane. And the barista is always happy customise them for you. It's also a fantastic atmosphere for catching up with friends or just having a relaxing day out.

Needing a coffee after dinner we drop in here for a quick fix. The Owner and counter staff are friendly and helpful. The slice of Matcha Crepe Cake looks so good but we are too full to order it. Next visit! The double shot Cafe Latte is strong and flavourful, a very good coffee. Thank you Guys!

This place was really spacious and had really nice decor. It's a place I'd visit to have a catch up with friends. They have a wide variety and drinks and will even customise the drinks for you. The cashier was really friendly and checked in to ask me how I found my drink.

Definitely best milk tea place in Brisbane. The staff explained to me on the interactions between different types of teas with flavour. He prepare the drinks with love and passion. This shop is definitely worth for a try and I'm truly addicted to it.

overall: 4.8/5
gluten free options: 5/5
food taste: 5/5
ambience: 5/5
customer service: 5/5
pricing vs quality: 4/5

there’s so many bubble tea places these days but this one is a definite brisbane fave. the owner seems to put a lot of love into the drinks and the service.

i ordered a watermelon frappe — they apparently have huge watermelon sized ones too! it tasted really refreshing and the tapioca pearls were soft and chewy. this one comes naturally gluten and dairy free but there are options for soy/almond milk etc.

also tried my friend’s mango milk tea — you can have the option of having it made in layers if you’re after a different type of taste. it’s thankfully not as sweet or as artificial tasting as some of the chain bubble tea stores so i quite liked it too. i also liked the honeydew frappe. since i liked all that i tried, i am keen to try out more of menu. the owner also makes recommendations if you like a flavour but you’re not sure which type of tea to get etc

although the pricing is slightly steeper than the usual chain stores, i didn’t mind too much because it was really tasty and good service! it did take a while for the drinks to be made though since only the owner was behind the counter when i went.

the cafe is designed prettily and i love the music too. it’s a great place to go to chill and hang out with friends etc

Amazing milk tea and fruit teas! The flavours of the teas were well blended and the matcha flavour was very strong! The service was incredible. The staff were extremely friendly and really went out of their way to customise our teas so that it was perfect to our liking! Highly recommend!

Service: Amazing! Best service in any milk tea place, asked us how the strength and flavour of each drink was and made a new drink for us when we said one was slightly too sweet.

Drinks: passion fruit oolong and matcha milk. both beautiful and you can ask for different strengths for the matcha and passion fruit (they also use fresh passion fruit!)
As might already be known, we are rather partial to a good matcha. When pictures of tall, very green drinks appeared on our Instagram feed, we had to check the source out for ourselves. So it was that we followed the trail to Cafe Artease, in Kelvin Grove. Cafe Artease is located in the Kelvin Grove Urban Village, interestingly enough, right next to a matcha destination we had already visited, B+C Lab Cafe. The student population in the area likely provides a ready supply of patrons who appreciate matcha, rather than looking at it askance, which might just be enough to sustain two matcha purveyors in close proximity.

One of the best, or the best bubble tea places I’ve ever been to. Worth every cent, they use cold brewed tea bases, lactose-free creamer, quality teas sourced from renowned countries like Taiwan & Japan, and fresh fruits are always used. Love the fact I can customize my teas, and the pearls are excellent. My go-to spot!
