Asked for 2 Large Flat Whites, got the coffees but the the milk as you can see in the picture was burnt! It was nowhere near 60 or 65 degrees. My girlfriend dropped hers it was that hot.
Merlo I know people may like it extra hot but we did not. You should only make it extra hot if it's requested! It may have been the best store in 2020, but this is 2022 get your game together!

This tired stressed mumma felt so looked after by the Merlo team today. I swung by with kids in tow to get some beans. Offered a coffee (mindful of my allergy) and big kid got a complimentary baby chino too. Staff (Bronte I think?) was beautifully kind and engaging with my kids. And it was a delicious coffee and perfect heat for a baby chino. Thank you!

I have bought coffee from Merlo Toowong every week for the last 5 years and drink it when I go shopping through Coles. Merlo coffee is excellent. This week we wanted to sit and have a coffee with my partner. We walked in to see of any available seats and then my partner go to seat first and I ordered the MEN staff at 9:45 a.m. ask my partner go out straight away !!!
This is so terrible service I never had before.
here was no indication at the order counter line who is ordering takeaway and who is ordering to sit down. One person was not allowed to find a seat while the other person ordered. The MALE worker was non-explanatory, non conversational, with out options and unsmiling. Extremely disappointing customer service and extremely poor system, whereby you are treated like a child.

On Sunday I was in a rush and needed a coffee so I ordered for a can of cold brew. It wasn’t until after I paid that the staff member told me that they didn’t have it in stock. I didn’t have to time to wait around for them to amend the order so I had to leave. Honestly I think that if I had the time to stick around a refund or another arrangement would be worked out however I strongly feel that it is unfair to accept payment for a product that is not in stock.

Poor customer service. I and my partner came to order coffee. My partner lined up to order and I was sitting down at the table. A men staff came out and told me not to sit until I ordered. BUT the next table, the wife sat down and her husband ordered at the counter. What the rule is !
Then I came to counter and my partner already finished the order. So I am ELIGIBLE back to the table right? But then the guy told me again: HE ALREADY RESERVED TABLE FOR SOMEONE ELSE within 1 min. What ‘s a joke?

I ordered and came back in 1 min then table RESERVE for someone else when I did not see anyone sit on the table.
Come on, if you do not want to serve customers, let me know then I can go away. Speaking so rude to customers.

Service with a smile is always a great way to start my day. Handy location right outside Coles, great coffee and really friendly & helpful staff. I do suggest you park on the top level, which always has more available parking, and take the escalator down a few levels to Merlo Coffee. love the seating arrangements, an intimate community vibe without feeling crammed in. You can order takeaway express coffees too. Definitely a place I will head back to whenever I hit the Toowong Mall.

The coffee here is always satisfying and service is friendly with a smile. We visit for a quick coffee after lunching nearby. Our Cafe Latte is served hot and intense, the way we like it. Rating: 4.5! Well done Guys!

In Mid-Nov., I have finished a lunch at the same shopping centre so may as well to get a coffee prior to pick up my car. Remember that I have not been back to this coffee spot for a while so dropped in for re-visit. Well, service is really improved with friendly smile and proficient performance. Coffee is no doubt a good one that ticks all the boxes and I am very much appreciated the improvement of their customer services. Cheers! <br/><br/>Oct 23, 2016 Rating 3/5 <br/>Wandering around in Toowong Village last Friday afternoon after I had the ramen at Genkotsu. Felt like to have a cup of coffee so chose Merlo for safety sake. Three staff were working but did not provide any friendly greeting except robotic service (even when one of the staff dropped the coffee on my table, it was soooo quiet). I wonder if they know how many coffee shops in this shopping centre. The brand name of coffee may not be the guarantee for business, service is always the top priority.....

The outlet is located in front of coles so it is easy to find it. I got a birthday-free drink from merlo. Amazingly, the staff was nice and friendly, although I just went to claim my birthday drink. They were fast in making the coffee and it was good.

Today wondering around at Toowong village I decided to have a coffee and after checking all the options I decided to order at Merlo because I thought it was a safer option.<br/><br/>I ordered my usual, a dirty chai latte. The milk was really creamy and it was spot on about the spices but the coffee was butter than usual and left an after taste on my mouth that wasn't much pleaseant. After wondering if this was a normal experience I checked the reviews and realized I wasn't the first to dislike the coffee in here, maybe I should start checking the reviews before choosing a place.<br/><br/>Overall the staff was friendly and service was good but unfortunately the coffee wasn't on par.

Extremely friendly service provided by one of the male staff who seemed to be doing an excellent job assisting in making coffees, delivering coffees to tables and serving customers. The barista was exceptionally fast in making my coffee and wished me a happy Tuesday when I approached him asking to add sugar to my order. My coffee was delicious and made perfectly.

I have basically tried most of the coffee shops in Toowong & noticed this one the other day. Thought I would give it a whirl. Merlo is always great on flavor but have to say this one was not up to their usual standard.

I normally don't like Merlo coffee from any run of the mill cafe or any other of those standard coffees like that places like Gloria Jeans, McDonalds and Muffin Break that buy the coffee beans in bulk and are obviously not fresh. But Merlo in Toowong roast there own beans in their little cafe! I picked up a flat white and a cappuccino to go and was pleasantly surprised. Ok, I am very biased towards Josie North and The Single Guys but at 3.30pm and in need of a caffeine hit I definitely cannot go past!

I usually really enjoy Merlo Coffee but this particular coffee shop is one I will never go to again.<br/><br/>I was in a bit of a rush to start with and no one was lining up to order so I didn't think it would take too long. I was very wrong. After waiting about 5 minutes I realised that the 5 or 6 other people that had been standing around the area had also been waiting for coffee. There were 3 baristas behind the counter. One was just cleaning and stocking things and the other two were at the coffee machine looking like they had no idea what they were doing. One of them didn't even know what the code letters on the cups meant (e.g. CL = caramel latte) which I thought was pretty odd. They were also splitting up peoples orders (i.e. someone ordered 2 coffees so they made one of them, put it to the side, made a few more coffees from other orders, then went back to finishing the first order).<br/><br/>In the end I waited at least 15 minutes for my coffee and it was horribly weak and I was extremely disappointed. I could see the other customers were not very happy either. I wish I paid the extra dollar and bought a decent coffee from the Zaraffa's behind it.
