Went looking for soup today and stumbled across the Common Room in Brisbane CBD. They had a wonderful potato soup, with bacon and herbs in, with some bread, really delicious and highly recommend it.

Honestly really slow poor service. Whether you order in person or online. Waited 15 minutes and when I asked about my order, they said they couldn’t see it. Then when the manager came back, picks it up off the top of the coffee machine where the coffee cups are stacked up. Please communicate with your staff when orders are waiting and have them call out the persons name. When I came in I looked on your counter and no coffee was there, so I sat down since there was someone ordering at the counter. Be more aware please. This is not the first instance of this occurring. I shouldn’t have to check if you have my order or check to see if it’s ready.

Fabulous coffee, matcha lattes, mochas and hot chocolates. Great ambience and location. I frequent this place a lot. It's slightly more expensive than other cafes in the area however the high level of quality makes it worth it.

Best hot chocolate in brisbane. There is no second best.

Delicious coffee and kind staff. Love that their cups are 100% compostable and they use MilkLab for their alternative milks.

Food is great. Coffee is ok. Service is questionable. Most disappointed that I could not order a 'breakfast special' (food and coffee deal) and dine-in with colleagues with a ceramic coffee cup. I was advised that I could only get the coffee in a take-away cup, whether I was dining-in or not. In this current climate, I would expect better when it comes to sustainable practices. I chose to have a coffee only in a ceramic cup and will not be revisiting The Common Room.

Sometimes, I oversleep, as I spend copious amounts of time writing my blog and doing other serious business. Often what gets sacrificed is my morning coffee and toast, as I walk out the door and run for the bus. With the bus stop being a mere 150 metres away from work, I end up sleepwalking into work on an empty stomach. Fortunately for me though, a colleague recently recommended that I try out The Common Room, situated conveniently between the bus stop and work, which provided me with an ideal opportunity to grab some sustenance before the long day ahead.
