I love frequenting The Coro! The staff are awesome, always attentive and have great personalities. I love their brekky and coffee. It’s tasty, reasonably priced and quick to come out. I also brought my dog in once and they were so welcoming of him..they even had dog treats to give him!
Had the best lunch at the Coro Hotel. I had the Lamb Shank Pie and it was to die for and my sister had the fish tacos, which just melted in the mouth. The staff were really helpful and polite. Would recommend!!
Exceptional!. A truly exceptional experience. My partner and I tackled the mud crab platter for two. Perfectly cooked melt in your mouth Canadian scallops, the freshest Queensland prawns, delectable oysters and a mud crab that puts Lure on the map for me. I'll definitely be back, 5/5.
I had my 30th birthday dinner tonight. The food and service was amazing! I had the soft shell crab for entree, Moreton bay bugs and scallops for main and cholesterol fondant for dessert. The waiter was extremely knowledgable and friendly. I will definitely be back.
So fantastic!. As a westside local and seafood lover it was my duty to get around to trying Lure.... yes I am a bit slow on the uptake.
So I finally got there and the seafood platter was to die for. The Golden snapper (whole) was absolutely incredible, the oysters were fresh, the scallops melted in your mouth. The hand cut chips were so awesome, they were huge but so so good. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was perfect. I love that you can see the chefs in the kitchen and the fresh seafood in the tanks (at the same time, poor fishies!).
This is a lovely venue and the seafood platter was the best I've ever had.

Consistently Good Dining. My partner & I have been to Lure many times through the past years and find this restaurant very consistent with their outstanding dishes and service. Price is expected as seafood/ fine dining restaurants but you get what you pay for at Lure. We never had any issues returning no matter what occasion or time of the year. Love this place. I rate it 8/10
Good value food. We went out for our anniversary and hadn't been here for over 4 years. We orederd the degustation as it was a special night and compared to the menu this was/is clearly the best value. Course by course 1: Sashimi was great, with the wasabi mousse a real great 1st course, 2: Scallops w/ pea puree and morcilla also excellent course, 3: Pork Belly w/ kimchi and kewpi - I am not a huge fan of PB but my wife is and she thought this was really good with very little fat and good flavour, 4: A REAL SHOCKER - Coral trout and saute prawn was told supposed to be signature dish, trout unavail and replaced w/ Snapper. Was really dry and lacking flavour and the prawn was also overcooked. Snapper was once my fav fish and this was the worst I have ever eaten. 5: The Wagyu and glaze was luckily back on on track and superb plate !, 6: Lemon tart was excellent penultimate course and 7: Petit fours were the icing on a great night. The highlight was the wonderful service provided by Hannah, who patiently allowed my wife to sample several wines and gave us a great explanation on each course. It was somewhat weird to have a food courier that 'delivered' each course with barely a word.
Sea food supreme. What a wonderful dining experiance. Great food great staff
Relaxed atmosphere, great seasonal menu.
We always preorder to save time especially at lunchtime on Fridays.
Service has really improved. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Need to be under shelter as it can get very hot even on winter days.
Food was simple, fresh- gluten free options too!
Perfect for a workday lunch!
Our new favourite restaurant. My wife and I have wanted to go to Lure for years and I must say that I was glad we finally made the effort. We arrived at the Coro and made our way to the "Lure" of which is on the upper level of the building tucked away behind a cocktail lounge bar... of course my wife wanted to have a cocktail before dinner so we approached the bar and to my delight there was a large selection of boutique beers on tap and even more available by the bottle! I could have skipped dinner and stayed at the bar! But I wasn’t allowed :( so off into the restaurant we went.
Apon entering dining room we passed a tank full of little crayfish, the staff informed us that they were fresh water crayfish or yabbies. There was another live tank with some rather large mud crabs and we later found out that you can inspect the crabs and pick your own to be cooked to your liking.
We were seated and offered tap or mineral water by the maître de and were told our waiter would be over soon to introduce themselves and get us started with some beverages and also let us know the specials of the evening.
We started with the warm sourdough with dukkha and french butter of which arrived at the table sliced and hot from the oven.
My wife ordered the trio tasting for a entree which our waiter explained it changes daily tonight it consisted of seafood chowder, soft shell crab & pork belly with asian salad. I picked the Canadian sea scallop with truffle pea puree and morcilla, both dishes were delightful. I have never tried or heard of morcilla before but we were informed that it is spanish blood sausage... I know it sounds weird but this added beautiful texture saltiness to the dish and complimented the seared scallop perfectly.
For our mains I had the Lamb rack with pressed shoulder, pumpkin puree, spiced eggplant, yogurt and lamb jus, I know it’s a seafood restaurant but this was devine! My wife stuck to the seafood theme and had the Barramundi and Soft Shell crab with cauliflower cream, pancetta and jus gras, this was also fantastic I barely got a taste as she didn’t want to part with any.
It was then on to dessert but we were already quite full from the generous serves of both entrée and main! We decided to share the pistachio cream cassonade or brulee and baklava wafer, this was hands down the best brulee a have ever eaten!!
In summary the food was devine, the service was fantastic and we could barely move as the portions were generous. My apologies for the long winded review but this is our new favourite restaurant!
Fantastic Night. We dined with a group of 6 guests on a Saturday night and the waiter was one of the best around brisbane. He was extremely knowledgable and helpful with reccomendations for meals & wines to suit.
The food more than lived up to the expectations of best seafood restaurant.
We will definitly be back to enjoy the experience again.
Great Food and Attentive Staff. Will definitely return often.. Been here twice. The first time using a coupon from a deal site and the second - a celebratory meal for our son. Both visits were very enjoyable. The meals were very well prepared and very enjoyable. The desserts and the cheese board were an absolute delight. The staff were very attentive and informative. There is one quirky thing that had my partner and son in stitches. The female toilet was in an open area, past the male toilets, has see through doors until you locked it then it starts fogs up. Needless to say I refused to use it until it was explained to me. But I waited about 30 secs for it to totally fog up before using it. Quirky!
Superb. Came here with an Ouffer, treated like king and queen, which gets my thumbs up. Fine dining without the snootiness. They were polite, attentive and what's more the food was excellent. We had the seafood platter which included succulently sweet scallops, oysters, sashimi and prawn. Wagyu beef for main, delicious and cooked perfectly but the regular price of $44 means I would rather go for seafood next time, which is what they have won awards for. To finish we had the chocolate assiette, the brownie was awesome!
Great for lunch. I work in Milton and love going to the Coro for a quick lunch and after work drinks. All the staff are friendly and attentive. I would recommend the Salt and Pepper squid salad, it's my favourite on the menu!
Simply Amazing. Loved the ambience, loved the service, loved the food!
I have to commend the service which was professional yet friendly right from the very start till the end. The food was also very well presented. We had the fish of the day (cod) and the wagyu sirloin which were pretty decent. However I have to say that the seafood entree platter and desserts were the highlights of the meal. Loved the scallops and moreton bay bug salad on the entree, and the profiteroles were to-die-for!
We will definitely be coming back again :)
Celebrating Asassination Day was about the only reason we could find to justify seeking a late booking for Lure last night. My first time after years of saying, "we must" and reading about the multiple awards this restaurant has earned. The venue itself is experience enough providing you with piques of interest before you are seated. I ended up checking out the muddies and Coral Trout on display and my attention then diverted by some impressive wine display cabinets. I did get to my table to find Georgia had introduced herself, the restaurant's points of interest and was pleasantly surprised to find our waitress relished the opportunity to help create a dining occasion. The food I cannot offer any critique of worth, right throughout it was of the highest standard, it was presented always with a wow factor and very generous serving sizes, which pleased Gen Y son. The Singapore Chilli Crab was the centrepiece of our seafood platter and Georgia ensured warm finger bowls and empty shell bowls were refreshed. The king prawns and scallops were cooked in a manner that added to the natural flavour, not masked it. I still think oysters should only ever be served naturale, but bride and offspring neccessitated the mixed platter. They still dont like oysters, even these creamy ones that were heavenly. Even the cutlery, the crockery and the glassware were interesting, noticeable and a talking point as we studied the funny shaped menu. The wine list I found carried an air of arrogance, possibly well founded. I just prefer some descriptors for those of us that don't know every wine, region and vintage. Cameron's counsel to accompany our Qld Muddie chilli'd up was for a bone dry French pinot grigio. Probably good advice if it was very chilli, but it wasn't and my ambivalent opinion of pinot grigio remains. It just seems to be a wine that couldn't care less and has no desire to make it to middle palate let alone any complex flavour to savour. But Georgia's finesse with discerning her diner's need and meeting it before even asked was let down by a classy establishment that had run out of dessert wine glasses, run out of one of the four cheeses (naturally the one I wanted), and presented the Brie not long from the fridge. A wonderful gorgonzola with the Craggy Range Noble Reisling and Chef did atone by adding a further hard cheese, probably at Georgia's insistence. I look forward to many return visits, it is certainly the best in seafood I have seen in Brisbane. The service ethic is outstanding, the ambience creates expectation that something good is coming, and it does.
Had the degustation menu... Prawns were delicious !! Good, promtmand friendly service
LThe Best!. Love it, great menu, great service - they make you feel very important:) beautiful atmosphere, its such a classy well run restaurant, i would go back again and again, if I could afford to!
Very good seafood. I have been to the Coro twice and both times left impressed. The first time me and my boyfriend had the degustation menu, which was amazing. The second time was my boyfriend's work christmas party and -again- the food was amazing! Be sure to check out the bathrooms too, they are quite unique:-)
Good value and good cooking!. I've been twice now....for a business lunch and dinner out with the girls and both times was impressed. My 'Fish of the Day' was perfectly cooked and was a big fillet accompanied by a generous serving of risotto and veges. Definitely a good place for healthy appetities!
One of the 'set apart' things about Lure are the desserts....no bought in components here....you can really see and taste the made in house nature of the desserts...and again, very generous servings.
The barramundi was cooked expertly with a wonderfully crispy skin and soft delicate flesh underneath. The pancetta provided some saltiness to the dish, which really worked nicely with the fish. The jus gras was interesting, it was quite bitter and reminded me of some lobster bisques I have had before. The fish was wonderful, but as great as it was, the real star of the show was the soft shell crab that accompanied it. It was incredibly sweet and seriously delicious!
When you walk up the stairs you find a trendy little bar/waiting area with a $5 beer menu for Fridays, including some imported beers. Strangely they list Tiger beer as a beer from Thailand which this Monky with parents from Singapore can safely say is fro
We had our staff party here. Good food and good environment
Great spot for a team lunch. Good daily lunch specials. Schnitty was excellent. Might rival the polish club for best in Milton
Had a coffee and one of their home made sausage rolls there the other day, Sausage roll was amazing and the coffee was perfect.
