Good pricing for a quick lunch. Got the Chicken teriyaki bento box and for $15.50 had lots included. It came with salad, miso, good portion of chicken and rice along with fried prawn, gyoza and a few other things. Their fried chicken is good, must try with the sweet and spicy sauce.
No psycho Sushi on the go at Saiko Sushi, proving very popular with the locals on New Years Eve morn. You walk in and a polite 'hello' greets every customer, the tables are set out pretty and the ambience is inviting.
A thirst quenching Lychee Tea kicks things off handsomely, while the Chicken Karaage (deep frying the food in oil, with or without marinating, lightly coated in wheat flour or potato starch) is equally yummo-licious. Concerning to me was that the (presumably thigh) meat looks a little too brown, but the taste - as with the mayo / soy sauce joining forces with it, was good. Not the best I've had, but nice.
The tempura veggies - everything from Sweet Potato, Broccoli, Zucchini and Pumpkin, were a foodie superstar revelation and a half, and you must try try. Beautifully done and finished to the last crumb. Yeowwwwwwwwww....
Food is delicious, worth every cent. Service was even better!! Love that it is so local to home too. Won't be going to sushi train anymore, not worth it.
Best sushi everrrrr!! Love it. Especially the sweet potato. Yum!
Delicious lunch!. Came here for lunch with two others (Photos are in the restaurant photos section). They have some great, cheap lunch deals which are shown clearly on a sign in the window. We ordered the chicken bento box lunch special (I believe it was $15.50) and spicy salmon and avocado sushi (which was around $7 for 8 pieces).
The chicken bento was delicious, and was great value, seeing as it was probably meant for one person, but fed all three of us! It came with an array of deep fried seafood, salad, rice, and miso soup. The miso wasn't amazing, but the chicken was one of the best I have ever tasted! It had a nice smokey taste, and the sauce wasn't overpowering or too salty or sweet.
The spicy salmon and avocado sushi was made fresh for us, and was also delicious; the only con is that they are hard to eat, unless you are experienced with chopsticks.
The staff were friendly; they even waved goodbye to us as we left, and thanked us for eating there!
Only bad thing is that they open at 11 and we were there earlier, already hungry!
Fresh sushi. If you've got a bit of time, freshly made sushi trumps "train" sushi.
The spicy salmon is worth a try, the tuna salad and chicken teriyaki were above average.
Range is a little limited but they do have all the standard items.
Staff were friendly but we had to ask for plates and had to take serviettes from a neighbouring table.
Will go back to try a hot dish.
Really fresh, very friendly and great service! Love not only the sushi, but the Hot meals as well. Will keep going back!
Great fresh authentic sushi , wish their was more variety !
