Good pricing for a quick lunch. Got the Chicken teriyaki bento box and for $15.50 had lots included. It came with salad, miso, good portion of chicken and rice along with fried prawn, gyoza and a few other things. Their fried chicken is good, must try with the sweet and spicy sauce.
No psycho Sushi on the go at Saiko Sushi, proving very popular with the locals on New Years Eve morn. You walk in and a polite 'hello' greets every customer, the tables are set out pretty and the ambience is inviting.
A thirst quenching Lychee Tea kicks things off handsomely, while the Chicken Karaage (deep frying the food in oil, with or without marinating, lightly coated in wheat flour or potato starch) is equally yummo-licious. Concerning to me was that the (presumably thigh) meat looks a little too brown, but the taste - as with the mayo / soy sauce joining forces with it, was good. Not the best I've had, but nice.
The tempura veggies - everything from Sweet Potato, Broccoli, Zucchini and Pumpkin, were a foodie superstar revelation and a half, and you must try try. Beautifully done and finished to the last crumb. Yeowwwwwwwwww....
Food is delicious, worth every cent. Service was even better!! Love that it is so local to home too. Won't be going to sushi train anymore, not worth it.
