Review Lord Stanley Hotel - Brisbane

What happened to good old fashion ordering from a menu instead of a b.s. app. The waiters had to apologise 4 times in 4 occasions due to the system. Also, in order to get half price drinks and meals.. I had to use the app to get the discount.. It also forced you to give banking and marketing details... I Don't recommend it for that reason.. food was average.. staff ok.. but they also seemed frustrated too with the system... i guess they will be soon out of a job.. 😔

Great steak and friendly staff. Pretty quick service and food. Had the pepper steak and 250 gram rump steak with chips and vegetables. Broccolini, carrots and snow peas. We also got cheeseburger spring rolls. Quite tasty. Spring Rolls, but filled with cheeseburger flavours instead of sprouts.

Have visited for multiple events and casual dine-in. There have always been vegan/vegetarian options and the staff is always so kind.

Got a steak sandwich on Uber Eats, was thinking “yeah it’ll be okay, nothing special, standard”. Well, wasn’t I wrong! This is the best steak sandwich I have ever eaten. Travelled well, perfect temperature, incredible taste! Very impressed. Even my housemate thought this! Well done to the chef who made it!

Great place with many carpark but the steak was over cooked.

Food was delicious and service amazing. Renovation has certainly made an improvement Went! Went to Balls Out Bingo, hilarious!

Called in for lunch today with three friends. The $14.00 meals great value for money and looked delicious. I had the roasted pumpkin, red onion n feta pizza. Delicious had to bring half home as too much. Service excellent, friendly staff. Thank you.

The bar staff, the wait staff and the chef were all incredibly friendly. They are all very good at their job. The food was great. The drinks were great. I could not have had a better experience. Well done everyone. And thank you.

So bad ....unless you want the full Fawlty Towers experience don't go near the place. Every 6 months or so i go back hoping things have improved but alas i am reminded by the cold food, poor service, long waits for your meal to turn up, orders getting missed or forgotten.  Don't expect all the meals to come out at the same time. More than once my fellow diners have finished their meals before mine has even come out. Usually understaffed.  I also recently attended an event in their function room that provided finger foods but as many of us stayed on and were hungry they were unable to provide us with any meals, hot chips or breads because their 'kitchen was closed'.  There was heaps of us who would have ordered a meal but they didn't want the $'s. What more can i say.

My tip is to order the standard pub specials menu - I ordered Pork Belly which came with roast potatoes and broccolini. Roast potatoes were excellent and cooked to perfection, however the broccolini was yellow and therefor past its best which also did not enhance its flavour and texture. The Pork Belly presented well but had no flavour and was stiff as rubber. Thankfully the spuds put on a good show. No issue ducking in for a lunch special but I won't choosing the bistro menu again.

Turned up for my step dads birthday and the restaurant was completely empty, in hindsight we should have left straight away. There was only one waitress on and she looked like she was trying to keep busy, but wasn't bothered to clear our plates. When ordering our meals, apparently they ran out of creamy mash they have on their "sides" section of the menu so I had a dry potato rosti and a thick, disgusting bernaise sauce with my dry (non) crispy skin salmon. Overall, pretty boring and bland. Definitely not worth the $70 we paid.

Without doubt the WORST meal I have had in Brisbane! That they can charge top pub prices and present low standard offerings should be against the law. I ordered Barramundi that must have been imported and then fried direct from the freezer. The accompanying chips and salad were dour and unimaginative. I didn't even bother trying to eat it. Avoid unless you need to vomit<br/>

I was told they DO NOT MAKE PINACOLADA ...No pinacolada! No polite service either! Red flag! What a shit tin <br/>Not happy, will not be returning! Not even if there is a fire !!!

Have been enjoying some very tasty lunches specials are great and the menu also delivers enjoyable fare, definitely a kitchen that takes pride :)<br/>

Wonderfull functions. We had a function over the weekend and it was just wonderfull very happy

We walk in with my two toddlers and ask for a high chair 15 min later we get given 2 disgusting dirty chairs that I could never put my baby's in!!!! So I tell him not to worry, the manager the gives a big huff and rolls his eyes and takes them away. My husband asked for Some water we get a bottle of water with what only can be described as floating slimy gunk!!!! Tried to get someone's attention (good luck) to busy texting. Then our meals arrive we had ordered two 450g rib eyes, when this tiny little steak was put in front of us manager again ran away so fast that we had to chase him down to tell him we had the wrong meals, he goes over to the till and tells us this is what we have paid for. My husband said he ordered the 450g rib, managers response was well I can take them back but you have ordered them well done and that will take the kitchen 30min to cook or you can just eat the steaks that you have paid for. We just eat the meal and it was lovely. I'm still a little hungry so we give dessert a try I go up to order this time wait and wait go over to the other side waiting I think it must have been 6min. I repeat my order three times. Dessert comes out and wrong again, I get told that some items are not on the till and they will get my brownie and I'm happy that they did it was very good so good on my way out I tell the chef how much I liked it and she gives me her secret ingredient. I would go back for the food but that rude stuck up manager has to go before you will see me!!!!

Great experience. Hi,<br/>A girlfriend and I had tea at the Lord Stanley last night and it was beautiful. The food was absolutely lovely and the staff were very very nice to us. In particular one of the male waiters (we are in our 50's) he was very helpful and friendly. We have been several times over the years and have always found the food and staff very good. I would rate it highly. We had the Mediterrean Chicken it was so tender and delicious.

DISGRACEFUL. I live one street away from the Lord Stanley I used to go their a lot but the last few times I have been the staff are so ARROGANT and rude I asked if they had any sweet wine and they looked at me like I was speaking Chinese I had glass of a Sav Blanc and decided I wanted a beer instead after that as I didn't enjoy the wine they had and they told me I had had enough to drink WTF I had ONE glass (small glass too) of wine! So disgustingly rude and atrocious behaviour I am 40 years old not 18 how dare they! I have told every one I know not to go there the food is also well below average. If this place was not owned by westfarmers group it would have gone broke! SHOCKING

Management. We went there for dinner never to return the bar staff so rude and duty manager was oon that night stuck up for bar staff..never to return

I was a regular at this hotel but I am never coming back ever again! They think that they can treat people like they are nothing! I come in with about five other people we spend about $125 and this is not worth a thing to this management I get asked do I have a home to go to by silly little girls. We have to clear our own glasses other wise they will just sit on the table for hrs, we come in to wind down from our day and have a chat with friends I'm sure this is the reason pubs were invented! I think Coles needs to fill in this management and give ugly spoilt girls the boot and hire nice friendly staff.

Disapointed. I'm a regular and live locally I have to say the service is nothing like it use to be. I went in last Friday for takeaway food and was extremely disappointed 1) our food was put on the tables when asked for takeaway food 2) the meals were not what we ordered. BEN the manager and CRYSTAL staff member did nothing to fix the problem all i got was arrogance and rudeness i was really upset with the way i was treated. Need better staff members like Nickie

Went a few times recently, the steak was Cooked as requested so cant complain. Service was friendly. Nice place to bring the kids.

Tried to eat at the steak house restaurant on Saturday night as I have had people tell me good things. I organised to meet friends and to all our shock it was shut! On a saturday night WTF? All the lights were out shut up tight, it was only 6.30pm. So disappointed I was looking forward to a nice big steak

SO MUCH TO IMPROVE ON. Food always good! Steak awesome always cooked to perfection. Bad part is the lack of service you can wait for 5min for a drink at the bar. Food comes out before you get your cocktail and we were in last Friday night and the whole inside of the pub smelt like cigarette smoke very had to eat when you can’t breathe!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a shame because this pub could be so good

I live just up the road so the hotel is my local and as I work a lot I go down for dinner all the time. The food is always good the $12.95 pulled pork burger you can't go wrong. The steaks are delicious and u get a Caesar salad with it yum. The bad thing about the hotel is the bar staff and rude management. Manager is on his phone all the time and the staff behind the bar are reading the news paper so that results in chefs bringing out your food and we don't need to see how hot it is in the kitchen.

Awesome steaks, often dine with family and friends on Friday night as they have $15 eye fillet. Staff are friendly and always helpful. Great pub worth a visit.

Disappointing. We have dined at this hotel before and found it's food quite ok but this week our food and the service was quite bad. My husband's medium rare steak was overcooked and dry and my salmon was quite dry also. There was also no corn as advertised with steak or lime with my salmon. The bar staff found diet coke difficult to produce and the bubbly advertised unavailable.

Good food, reasonable prices! This is our local and savior during the recent power outage, friendly staff allowed the neighborhood to charge phones/laptops whilst we enjoyed some aircon and food! Praise the good lord!

Terrible Food. How can a pub stuff up a beef burger so badly? Stale bread, supermarket tomatos, re-heated meat pattie and NO SAUCE! My girlfriend's calamari was drowned in oil and barely edible. <br/><br/>Management need to be shot and/or forced to eat their own food as punishment. Never eating there again.

Top shelf pub food. Excellent food quality. I have been several times and the food is fantastic. Can't beat their beer battered flathead fillets. Prices are reasonable as well.
