Dropped by here for an office coffee run and the two girls were so friendly. The coffee was hot and fantastic too! Will be back. Our tip *** you must check out Flour & Chocolate Pâtisserie opposite this place. Hands down our favourite pâtisserie in Brisbane.
Went there after going to the nearby patisserie for coffee and a quick nibble. On good referral from my sister and my nephew we ordered 2 flat whites in a mug with an extra shot ( normally she would order double shot but she said this place is so good with coffee and it’s strength only one shot needed). I ordered the Hot Chocolate with a shot of coffee
The Order was promptly delivered
The Flat White had had a beautiful thick crepe on the top each order with a different figure on top in each cup it is so thick with deliciousness you need a spoon to enjoy... just delightful!! Same as the hot chocolate

As part of bado, a neighbourhood app I arranged to meet a local for lunch. I started with a freshly pressed juice. Their menu selection was very tempting, but I just wanted an orange and ginger. It was no problem. I followed with smashed avocado with lemon, on toast with poached eggs and a flat white. Well, the juice was served in one of those jars with a handle. What I liked about it the most was that it was cold. So often the fruit is warm so the juice is warm, not here. My lunch was well presented and tasted even better than it looked. A very generous amount of avocado. Tha coffee was hot and full. So many times I ask for flat white and it is served half full of froth. The alfresco dining was a pleasant touch and the staff were onto used pates etc and kept the area clean and tidy. Hospitality was on point, very friendly and accommodating. I could easily make Urban Espresso a regular Sunday brunch spot.
Continuing our Thursday eating journey - Whilst indulging into Flour & Chocolate's goodies, my dining companion and I were getting quite thirsty from all the sugar. Good thing Urban Espresso was adjacent to the patisserie, so we headed inside seeking for a refreshing beverage. The pressed juices sound good, we went with the Flu Shot and Energize Me.
I had the Energize Me, which consisted of Apple, Ginger, Beetroot, Carrot, and Lemon. Definitely quenched my thirst -thumbs up-!! Flu Shot, on the other hand, contained Apple, Lime, Ginger, Mint, Celery, and Pineapple. (Bonus: Tomcat claims it tasted like a Mojito!)
Both beverages were thoroughly enjoyed. The only downside was the price, each pressed juice cost $8, which I found rather expensive. (But in saying that, I'm at fault for not realising the prices earlier that was clearly written on the blackboard).
Customer service isn't bad, no complaints :)
Downloaded this stupid app just so I could give these guys an awesome review. 5 stars isn't enough. Their customer service is unparalleled. I work in hospitality and I know how difficult it can be to always have a smile on your face and remember everyone's name, but somehow these guys do it effortlessly and genuinely. To top it off, the coffee is always brewed perfectly and consistently every time. When I have a 10 hour shift ahead of me, the best way to start my day is at Urban Espresso. Thanks so much guys for going above and beyond!

The coffee at Urban Espresso appears to have fluctuated a bit over the past couple years, but was good this morning.
After waiting in line outside Flour & Chocolate (one of Brisbane's best bakeries) on the hottest day of the year, I was in desperate need of an Iced Latte. Fortunately, Urban Espresso is adjacent to Flour & Chocolate.
As mentioned above, the coffee was good. Good flavor, good strength, good ratio of coffee to milk and lots of ice. This rated a 3.5.
They also serve Pressed Juices, Blended Juices and Smoothies, but at $8-9 these are quite pricey.
Next time, I'll grab an Iced Latte from Urban Espresso to keep me cool while I am waiting in line for Flour & Chocolate.

Diana. I just noticed on reading my previous review that it been almost two years since I have visited Urban Espresso. Seems in that period of time things have deteriorated somewhat! The coffee has changed for the worse was not Gian Carlo as before & was a weak watery insipid brew. We were waiting ages for our breakfasts when there was hardly anyone in the cafe. When they did come were very disappointing, bacon in the brekky burger was inferior quality very chewy according to my partner. My avo was just that -avo on some thin teeth breaking toast with a small lemon wedge. Now I am all for simple things done well, but this just didn't cut it -sorry

Diana. A great find for lunch, simple food, well done. Was pleasantly suprised by the coffee which is GianCarlo, not one of my favourite blends but this was very well done, ditto the food. I enjoyed a simple vegetarian turkish sandwich which was packed with flavour & consisted of eggplant, spinich, capsicum,feta & aioli. We also shared a delicious freshly made fruit juice blended mix which included a hit of fresh ginger, just whammo good. My friend enjoyed a homemade beefburger of which the pattie was an inch thick, it came served in a turkish bun with beetroot, tomato, cheese & onion.
What a little gem of a cafe hidden in the burbs. Added bonus was the friendly staff.
My car is at Tyres and More for it's service so I always walk and find somewhere for breakfast while I wait... Staff were friendly... Coffee was good although it arrived well before my breakfast did... Poached eggs were nicely done but another slice of toast would have made it better since they were small bits...
Had a delicious coffee and bacon-and-egg breakfast here! The staff were friendly, the prices decent and the food delicious! Great little spot that's easy to miss... definitely coming back again for breakfast in the near future.
Visited for the first time today while looking for some early morning breakky. Great service from Christie, the food was simply delicious and the chai latte was hot and went down a treat.

I’m ashamed that I’ve overlooked this place for years. Their coffee is outstanding and I had a delicious French toast too! Nothing fancy but what they do they do well.
I wonder if they’ve considered using flour and chocolate sourdough breads, given that they’re right next door......?
The music needs a rethink too. It’s a bit early for panic at the disco....
Always a smile no matter how busy and we love that. Cappuccino at Urban is so creamy and always the perfect temperature. My daughter is in love with the freshly squeezed orange juice. Thank you Urban coffee!
Absolute best coffee ever! We love making an extra special trip sometimes just so we can enjoy an amazing coffee and of course lovely friendly service :)
