I meant to explore one of the cafes around Camphill area but turned to the wrong direction so randomly picked up a café along the Cavendish Road. Remember it has been nearly three years and I had my last cup of flat white here was on New Year Eve. Nothing has been changed, this espresso hut provides same friendly, prompt and sincere service. The only different is that I have an elegance feeling when I look at my flat white with di Manfredi's coffee cup.....it makes me feel relaxing and boosts up my motivation to work for the day …...

Opposite to Flute Fine Foods and next to the Singh Asian located this expresso hut. It show-cases its character by serving the di Manfredi coffee with barista's skillful pouring technique. Although there is not a large dining area, there is always enjoyable moment by sitting on the road-side and having a cup of coffee. Not a bad coffee place.

Popped over to 28 Squares Espresso following breakfast at Flute across the road. This is a family run business, with the owner, his wife and son all in attendance.
Was pleased to find that they serve Espresso di Manfredi coffee and ordered an Iced Latte and a Jam Shortbread Biscuit.
Good coffee, but was a little surprised to see them fill the cup with ice, water and milk before adding the espresso - I can't remember ever seeing someone add water. As it was it rated a 3.5 - might have been higher if it was a little stronger.
The biscuit was quite dry - 2.5.
Good service and a generous offer from the owner of a Zooper Dooper ice pop for Mini Meatball (we declined, but it was greatly appreciated). Customer service bumps the score back up to a 3.5.
Diana. Found this friendly little cafe quite by chance on passing. Pleased we did as the first thing I noticed was the blend of coffee being Espresso Di Manfredi, a personal favorite of mine. This coffee always delivers consistent taste & strength. The baristas were great, looks like it is family owned & run, they even bought out water for the pooch
28 Squares Espresso - Coorparoo, Brisbane. It may not look like a lot from the outside, but a quick stop into this very little place is something that is unlike most other coffee shops around the place. Perhaps literally 28 square meters big, it does not feel cramped. With nothing to hide in the well-used recess, this makes for a casual, comfortable and welcoming espresso bar. There is not a dull sight to be had here.
Having not tapped much into Coorparro's coffee scene, my dining buddy and I went out one weekday morning to try somewhere and noticed that it was busy. There were three people at the counter creating amazing synergy with the service. Coffee and sweets were served really quickly and with a smile.
While sussing out some of the items in the cabinet, I noted the honey puffs on the counter. I first thought what they said on the blackboard outside would have meant the cereal but I was wrong - and if that is your forte.... Regardless, the honey puffs here are freshly cooked, soft and chewey, plus are pretty modest on the honey making it not overwhelming.
So I ordered my double shot cappuccino and had a carrot cake. My dining buddy got a cappuccino as well and selected Turkish delight and shortbread (they were really cheap) and with generosity, the waiter came over with a plate of two Turkish delights.
Both the Turkish delights and shortbread were coated in icing sugar; it was impossible to eat them without making such as mess around the place. Turkish delight is Turkish delight, and this one delivered. The short bread was soft and delicious with the sweetness in tact.
This time around, the carrot cake was moist and had just the right amount of icing on top. It tasted really good and then there was the coffee; made on a robust blend it was smooth in texture and very well made.
Let's hope that this place does well in the future as it has the foundations which deserve a high turnout rate.
Fantastic suburban coffee .. I have been to most of the top 10 Brisbane coffee spots, as rated by Urbanspoon and this little outlet more than holds it's own. The coffee is Espresso di Manfredi which I hadn't tasted before. It is a delicious, robust blend with a very smooth aftertaste. Yes, I will definitely be dropping by frequently to enjoy this brew.
The service here too is exceptional. We ordered a very moist slice of carrot cake, some Greek shortbread, and a piece of Turkish delight. They gave us an extra piece of Turkish delight on the house. It is little touches like this that build a solid customer base.
This place is next to Sing's Asian Kitchen in Cavendish Road and I predict will become a local favourite.
