I've been to UQ for a decade, and never once tried the Miss India near there. I went to the India Fest last night, but already planned to have dinner elsewhere, so I thought I should get my fill today at the Morningside branch.
This is my first time at this franchise, and I was surprised at the fast food setup, with the casual seating and streamlined ordering. I ordered the taste-a-rama plate (dine-in only), and appreciated its availability: Most Indian places want you to choose one curry - the TAR allows one to sample 3 curries, which appeals to my degustation tendency.
The flavours are pop-style optimised for mainstream taste, which suits my palate, but may deter those looking for authentic cuisine.
If you're after some fast Indian with flexible mixing-and-matching meal deals, check Miss India out.
2 pakoras for $2! Filling and cheap lunch.
Nice staff that actually care and fresh on the spot naan that is to die for.
The smell that comes out of that place is AWESOME!!!
Was pretty good!!! Yummy naan
Mango chicken. A bit of a twist on the classic Butter Chicken. Great for those who prefer their curry on the mild side.
Great for lunch. Cheap, fast and a decent curry. The thali plate is a bargain. The yellow rice isn't the best, but the lamb is tender and the dhal is yummy!
Good value. Must be the friendliest staff in Brisbane. Very good value. Amazing naan breads and nice that my vindaloo was spicey enough without having to ask for extra chilli.
The Best Fast Food Around. I love their curries. But I'm fussy about which ones I select. I like the butter chicken, mango chicken, chicken korma and i love the lamb madras. They also let you try the curries before you buy them which can help you decide which ones you like.
They make their naan fresh out the front in a tandoori clay oven.
You can be in and out last time I went to get Indian take-out from another place I waited (and wasted) 45 mins.
Miss India makes very tasty Indian cuisine & their claim about serving Brisbane's best Butter Chicken is as close as I can tell, absolutely correct. It's best for takeaway, as it's very simple inside. The restaurant is set up like a buffet, served by staff so I would recommend arriving early for lunch on dinner sit downs or take away to ensure you get the freshest meal possible. The naan here is delicious & is kneaded & cooked while you wait. As a food experience Miss India is great, and soo well-priced, but unless you want to feel like you are eating in a food court, it's best for take away, don't dine in.
Value for money, delicious Indian curries. Had the butter chicken and a garlic nan which were both yum and will go back to try the tikka masala soon.
Great flavours, awesome staff very friendly! Food is delicious and good priced!
Gotta love this place for their curries and cheese and garlic naan. Well priced and open on weekends and public holidays
Great selection of dishes to choose from both meat and vegetarian. Dishes already prepared so no wait time on meal. Naan bread cooked to order so nice, hot and fresh. Can get a decent meal at an affordable price.
Haven't been over morningside since vivid began and I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there tonight. I had mango chicken and my partner had lamb korma. Rice, garlic naans, papadums, pakora and vege samosas. Yummy 😋
Run of the mill fast food style Indian food. Quick and easy but not award winning. Reasonably priced. Parking is a bit hard if you cant get one of the few parks out front.
Love it. Always consistent. Best Indian. It took me years to find the best butter chicken and it’s here. Frequent flyer 🥰
