Amazingly good food! Highly recommend this restaurant. Great service and decent prices. Food was cooked perfectly.

Ordered the banquet dinner with a large group of people. The food came out quickly, was presented well, and perfectly cooked. Recommend trying the Peking pork ribs and honey chicken. The owner was lovely and very attentive to everyone in the restaurant and those picking up take away. I’m sure we’ll be back again soon! 😊

Don't be fooled by the exterior because this is great Chinese food! Tasty and cooked well. Friendly service, really quick. We had crispy pork plum sauce, sweet & sour pork, mongolian lamb, special fried rice and mini spring rolls. They were all yummy but the only thing is the spring rolls lacked filling otherwise, they still tasted good. We might make this our go-to Chinese food in the area for now, highly recommend trying.

I bought a chicken fried rice on Thursday night (21/04/22). Firstly, I don't know how you can call it "fried rice" I received a container of boiled rice and boiled chicken. That's it. It was terrible. And you charged me $19.50. What a rip off! Seriously, this is absolutely by far the worst tasting, smelling, looking dish I have ever received. I will never visit your restaurant again and will be leaving poor reviews wherever I can. It went straight into the bin

Whilst the food is definitely delicious the service is beyond pathetic. We tried to dine in 2 months ago and were seated for nearly 15 minutes with no-one servicing our table. We weren't even asked if we would like a drink so we walked out. Gave them another go this week and ended up having to walk to the take away counter to ask for drink service. When we wanted to order food we had to ask them to come and take our order. We won't even bother with take away from them now as there are plenty of other venues begging for business.

We have been coming to this place for around 8 yrs now and found it amazing, however we ordered take away last night and I got my fave dish "shredded beef pekking style" which has never been anything other then amazing... but last night it was overcooked and hard! I was devastated especially since it was our anniversary! Totally ruined our special night!

Most incredible food and the best service. We truely felt so welcomed by the staff and they even provided a free deep fried ice cream for my grandmas birthday. Will definitely be coming back

Wontons were nasty. Just basically batter and dry, with hardly any filling. Pretty sure these weren’t handmade. 99% sure these were frozen as well. Main was good but really overpriced food. This place used to be so good. Feels like the standards have dropped.

We stopped in here one night after just buying our new house. The owners were so lovely and accommodating with getting us a table. The food came out quickly and was so fresh. The dishes all tasted fantastic too! The lady owner even got us a bowl of steamed broccoli for my toddler who wouldn't eat anything. We've found a new local!

Every time we come here the guy taking orders is always so nice and friendly and makes conversation with you :) the food is always perfect and comes out really quick! Will definitely be a regular take out option :)

We are regulars at Sun Sun as the food is a high standard and its our local haven. My husband is Chinese Mexican so we've eaten our fair share of Chinese. There are several dishes that are outstanding - the steamed Dim Sim, the Sun Sun Special Pork Ribs (delicious) and the Salt n Pepper Fried Tofu is amazing. Its family-owned and run and prices are reasonable. Takeaway is always ready in 10-15 minutes and piping hot. One of our faves.

My partner and I are regular to this restaurant since we just live around the corner. We know most of good Chinese restaurants are in south side of Brisbane, but surprisingly we found this hidden gem in the north side. Since we both are chinese and we know what authentic chinese cuisine should taste like, we have to say Sunsun is definitely one of the best chinese restaurants on the north side of Brisbane. We always start with Sang Choi Bow as Entree, in which the minced pork or chicken wrapped with lettuce. Sometime we also order Fried Mix Entree, which includes a variety of stuff such as wonton, spring roll or prawn chips. For main course, my all-time favorite is Sunsun special pork rib, crispy outside but juicy in side. Yummy! Shredded Beef Peking Style, Peking Duck, Shang tung chicken, sizzling Mongolian Beef are also on my top list. My partner is a seafood lover, so she likes the deep fried whole flounder fish, Moreton Bay Bugs, or scallop with ginger & shallot. As to the dessert, Sun sun doesn't provide much option, but fried ice cream is a great choice. In terms of service and eating environment, Sun Sun does have very friendly waiters/waitress and typical chinese restaurant decoration.  We are really glad such a good restaurant is just within walking distance for either dine-in or take-way!

Been going to Sun Sun for about 10years now. The food is always great, as is the service. Cindy and her staff always make you feel welcome. I take all my friends there.

The service is fantastic! The Atmosphere is great! The food is quick, fresh and delicious! I would highly recommend Sun Sun to all those who enjoy authentic Chinese food!

Food is delicious, reasonable prices and staff are pleasant and efficient. And best of all it is clean clean clean - is now my favourite chinese restaurant . In a quiet location at back of Aspley. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. (It's also licensed) at decent prices.

Sun Sun is one of our regular favourite Chinese restaurants. Their Sun Sun Special Porks Ribs are delicious as is the Salt & Pepper Deep Fried Tofu - we can never pick to eat anything else because they are just too good! My husband is Chinese Mexican and the dim sum are some of the best he has tasted (and a huge hit with our 2 year old). For takeaway, all orders are ready in 10-15 minutes - we have NEVER waited longer than 15 minutes for takeaway. We love Sun Sun.

Best local Chinese takeout. We have eaten a lot of Chinese food and Sun Sun does a delish takeout every time. They are always busy and make fast and tasty food. This is our once a week treat and our four year old who likes nothing healthy (and I mean nothing) often begs out for her Chinese !

Bland food but plenty of it.. This is definitely the place to go if you have a huge appetite and you aren't fussy about what you send past your taste buds.

Very disappointing unfortunately. I'm not very fussy when it comes to Chinese. I'll eat nearly anything but I got takeaway from Sun Sun last night and it was tragic. Firstly I waited an hour for takeaway and it wasn't very busy, And no communication on when my meals would be ready even though there was up to 5 workers dancing around doing sweet fa. Then the special fried rice was bland and burnt with 3 prawns on top.... Then the sweet and sour pork and the Mongolian lamb was soft and very average tasting. Total waste of time and money. Will never ever return.

Great food, rubbish service!!!. Got seated at our table straight away which was great got offered drinks but never gave us enough time to look through menu before constantly asking us for food orders. I said we will be ready to order in 5 minutes, waiter comes back in 10. We get our food finally ordered and it all came out except for 1 dish which my friend ordered. We made a takeaway order and for 3 takeaway meals, it arrived out before my friends Sweet and sour pork, it took 35mins to come out and by then my friend had watched us eat all our food. I was mad that my friend couldn't eat and she was infuriated aswel so we asked what were they going to do about it and first waiter said sorry do you want us to cancel it and walked off with the dish, second person who looked like the manager said it was his first day and the actual manager was in the kitchen "helping". Manager never came to see what the problem was and never gave us a solution to our problem. We paid for our food except for friends food which we never got and I said to them that they never cared. What a shame that a restaurant with high rating had to end the night like this. Every customer counts!!!!

Very disappointing. The dim sims were still half frozen in the middle. The omelette was so salty it was in-edible and the service from the waitress was appalling. It cost over $70 and was left on the table.

Pleasantly Suprised. My partner and I decided to take my parents out to dinner. Upon asking them what cuisine they would prefer, they both said chinese. A good chinese restaurant is hide to find in Brisbane. After an extensive search on google and reading the urbanspoon reviews, I decided to go with Sun Sun chinese restaurants. <br/>We were greeted kindly by a friendly waiter who showed us to our table, The restaurant was busy and the whole time we were there, the line for the takeaway orders was constant. The menu is huge, it took us some time to figure out what we wanted to order. All the favourites were on the menu, satay chicken skewers, black bean chicken, sizzling garlic prawns, mongolian lamb.. so much variety! Service was prompt and our food came out pretty fast. For mains we ordered a few dishes and shared. My favourite was the satay chicken. Beautiful spices and not too sweet. Chicken portions were very generous. The garlic fish was to die for - cooked to perfection and once again, generous servings of fish mixed with crunchy vegetables. My least favourite however was the mongolian lamb. It was sickly sweet. Being Indian, I like my food a bit spicy and mixing sweet with a main dish is a big no for me. Not to my taste, but as the waiter said - perfect for the western culture. To finish off my partner had deep fried icecream which I took a bite of. BEST deep fried icecream ever. Loved the toasted coconut! Overall we had a lovely evening, the food was wonderful and the service of our waiter was highly commandable. See you again soon, Sun Sun!

Good food but terrible service. I'm 3rd time here first time it was perfect 2nd and 3rd 20 minutes wait just to get menu.

Great food. Not skimpy on the meat. Best garlic prawn I've had in a long time. Average price. Will defiantly go again!!

Excellent. Have not had decent Chinese like this in ages everything is fresh and plentiful. Have had both dine in and takeaway the price point is just right and its definitely a hidden gem in Aspley. <br/><br/>I recommend the Shredded Beef Peking style it really is the best we order it every time we visit!

Very bad english. Can't speak good English. The food is awful. Never go back again

Getting worse. We used to like Sun Sun but the food is getting worse and worse and is overpriced. This evening the crispy skin chicken was obviously heated up in the deep fry. It was undeniable. The flavour of the slaty crispy skin was just the flavour of Luke warm oil! Avoid at all costs.

Would not recommend this place. They gave us the incorrect order. I had the honey chicken. It was tasteless and covered in batter.

Generally, a good feed. We have been here quite a few times. Generally, the food is excellent and reasonable value. We had one mediocre experience during the middle of the day when we had the restaurant to ourselves; the food was overcooked. Best time to go is when they are busy.

Fast, friendly and delicious, I will definitely be back!

Been there a number of times food is always good and served promptly. But then again I have only been there during the week not on weekends.
