There are things to like about The Coffee Club (TCC). As they are a franchise they’re in most shopping centres and once you’re part of their VIP club, after paying for about 5 medium coffees, you get a free one with your hot drink.
This occasion was a group booking of 8.
The downside/questionable side is their pricing structure with the product and quantity they give. Paying $6 for 2 slices of supermarket basic bread is pretty cheeky. For that price, I’m expecting some specialty, artisan type bread. Toast is also not listed on your menu and this makes the whole ordering with less contact via the app superfluous as you have to go to the counter anyway.
For standard tinned baked beans that have been heated up - I’m the first to appreciate this as the “house made beans” that other cafes offer are glorified kidney beans swimming in tomato sauce. The wonderment is the $3 that you charge for this.
There are so many independent cafes that are now on the scene charging much less that a franchise such as TCC should be able to compete or do better on. If you need to have a look at another franchises’ answer sheet, look at how Cafe 63 do it. Their menu listing is a mini book and a pricing structure to match.
All in all, I will patronise TCC for their coffees and consider my group options for food elsewhere.

When they are busy esp on Saturday mid morning the quality of coffee drops. I have ordered 2 caps and what I got was 2 flat whites with chocolate sprinkles on top.. very disappointed. Avoid during busy times.

Very helpful staff and coffee was great. One of the coffees was spilt due to an uneven table, and the staff quickly responded to clean it up and provided assistance to us with mopping/ drying up the coffee on our clothes and handbags. Great service and a replacement coffee appeared in no time at all.

Great service and great food. The staff really went out of their way to accomodate for my needs and were very professional. Food came out very quickly, especially considering how busy they were. The coffee tasted great as well!

Ordered a crispy chicken burger, got served something completely different and the waitress then had the audacity of telling us we needed to pay attention when she was reading back the incorrect order. Customer service is clearly not a priority here.

Sadly, my meal was one of the worst I've ever been served, which has prompted me to write a review. I ordered the savoury mince. It looked terrible and tasted even worse. And was topped with a poached egg cooked in the microwave. I will say that the staff were nice and friendly. Pity the food is so bad.

Diana. Giving this the OK tick mainly due to the outstanding friendly service. They made a mistake with our coffee order & it was quickly rectified. Coffee was one of the better pours & strength for a coffee club brew & there was no quibbling about extra charges for an extra half shot either!

Excellent food and service. Probably the best Coffee Club in Brisbane. Always generous with servings and extras. Friendly service worth mentioning So unlike the poor service and miserly servings at Garden City, not to mention the unpleasant rude obviously frustrated staff at Garden City.
