Very disappointed with the restaurant. Food takes an hour to get to the table. Entrees are forgotten about and as the picture shows not worth eating. It's onion rings apparently. Vegetables and steak are served cold. Won't be going back.

This hotel is quite nice, clean and very spacious. Chips do not make much sense, as they are not 'pub' chips (steak house/beer battered) but more so french fries from McDonalds. Food service was quick and the bar had a wide variety of alcohol to choose from. Bit strange that one has to pay for the sauce separately to the cost of the meal. Good value for money in regard to the food portions and the food portions are very excessive compared to other taverns in Brisbane. John and Trent on the staff were quite professional and helpful.

Its great. Just has that proper pub vibe. Taps change out regularly, if you're lucky there will be a quality craft brew on occasionally. I really like the atmosphere.

Lovely place! Gf and coeliac safe! I was able to have GF pizza, not many places follow the right procedures, but they do, they rock ! I’ve been there a few times and they don’t disappoint.

Our experience at the Sandgate post office hotel started okay but progressively got worse over time.
- We made a booking and they didn't give us enough chairs
- We went to order cocktails and were told they couldn't do them and haven't been able to do them for a few weeks. However, there was signage/advertising for their cocktails specifically in the main dining area and in the bathrooms.
- We ordered one after another. The first meals came out within about 20 minutes so we were impressed with that however, our entrees didn't come out until about 40 minutes after ordering and then we waited for our meals for another 30 minutes.
- at one point we asked about our meals and were told they were just 5 more minutes away and then we waited another 15 minutes.
- I asked if we could just get a refund but was made to feel like we were an inconvenience and that a refund was "too difficult to do". Waiting for our meals 40 minutes after everyone else had eaten there's was difficult.
- we asked if we could get the meals put in a takeaway container then. When we received the meals, they were plated and they just gave us the takeaway container to pack ourselves.
- The food wasn't very good either with many of us finding it was over garliced.
The whole experience was just so disappointing as we were really looking forward to going with the family.
Really just made me wish we stayed at home since it was just too embarrassing.

Our first experience at Sandgate Post Office Hotel. Absolutely loved it. Our friends who live locally booked dinner here. What a treat. It was a busy evening but service was so friendly. Entrees and main meals for four adults were fantastic. We all raved over the food. Zuca Gnocchi was sooooo good. Would have this every week if lived locally! Absolutely going to be worthwhile making the 50min trip for us. Lovely outdoor atmosphere. So good to be experiencing outdoor rather than closed in air conditioning. Maybe we need to move to Sandgate so we can go here more regularly.

Went for dinner with the family. Ordered a chicken scallopini. It came out with a burnt potato rosti that ruined the entire dish. Told the staff when they asked how our meals are and there was no offer to correct it.
