Review The Burrito Bar - Brisbane

Indrajeet Patil
I thought I was the only one who faced problem with this restaurant... but I wasn’t alone . SO MANY 1 STAR reviews really shows volume for the way this place is being run . Ordered the wings for Wednesday deal 25c each . Even if the wings are for 10c, it’s not worth eating at all . No meat in wings , tiny size, over fried , hardly any sauce . Photos speak for itself . My advice ..... save your $$ and eat anywhere else !!! At least you will get what you ordered and better quality food .

Got the chicken burger. The chicken was a bit chewy and didn’t look like a nice breast. I also didn’t like how they put sauce all over my chips. It would’ve been better just in a little tub to the side. Also, I didn’t like that they gave me a plastic straw without the option to decline. I’m trying to save the environment over here. Overall, it wasn’t horrible. Just would be nice with these improvements.

The burritos here are great, it's unfortunate that the wait time takes so long, waited so long for our burritos and saw multiple uber eats/deliveroo people receiving their orders before us even though they came in after :/ My friends got nachos, one ordered large and one ordered regular, which one do u think is the large? If you thought it was the one on the right, you are wrong. Get the sizing correct. I'm cutting it to one star.

Seriously!!! I barely find meat inside my burrito. Wrapped full of rice. I would go to indian restro to have this (i love indian foods btw) Please do upgrade on this. Else its pretty good deal for the price.

Great burritos but the chips were cold because of a 40 minute wait. Chips were made first and then burritos to a while due to it being busy.
Emma C
The best burritos, especially vegie and Philly cheesesteak, and Mexican fries :). Come back soon please Coorparoo Burrito Bar!

Pretty good. We always come late because we play volleyball around the corner so sometimes there’s a limited menu but the guy who serves us is always really friendly. :-) I love the jalapeño poppers (especially dipped in the Bleu cheese sauce), the medium spice choice for the wings actually has some kick and I really enjoyed the chicken enchiladas too. Will definitely be back to try more things.

The photo should be self explanatory...lunch today...only two of us & maybe one other person, not busy...this was supposed to be my entree, but it came after my main which was tacos, though they were edible, they were boring & bland enough for me to decide at that point to not bother ever coming here again...when the entree arrived I had wished I'd also taken a photo of the nachos...I was stunned as to how horrid the plate looked & that someone had the gall to actually serve such a thing & charge for it! I didn't bother complaining because it was obvious that's the standard of food they serve...I'll just not go back & let others know so they won't have to suffer as I did!

There is no wonder why GYG dominates this particular genre of food. When one bites into a burrito (with extra), one would expect an array of ingredients blending in harmony. But if you dine at Burrito Bar youd only get a mouthful of rice and wrap... It's genuinely disappointing when you pay for premium extras you get disgustingly ripped off. I'm all for support local business but this was just awful.

On a positive note you'll definitely be full from the $30 rice and wrap combination... 💔

Terrible food, terrible service. We were told meals would be ready in 10 mins, waited an hour, paid nearly $40 for two meals which were absolutely shocking quality - inedible. We called to complain three times, each time told a manager would return our call, haven't heard a thing from them. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Kat
Had an order delivered through Uber Eats and was very disappointed. Missing the guacamole for the chips and the fish tacos were awful; watery, not crispy and no slaw. I'm sorry I wasted my money and won't be ordering from here again.
Pumpkin
Quite possibly the worst Mexican food in Brisbane. Had enchiladas with spicy beef - beef was over cooked with not a hint of spice, cheese not properly melted, rice tasted stale and dry, and the tortillas didn’t even seem to have been fully cooked. Save your money and go elsewhere.

When we first walked into this place the look and vibe was great! I ordered a mojito for $13 which sadly didn't taste like one.. It had no fresh mint and all I could taste was soda. My veggie burrito was super small to the burritos I get from many other Mexican restaurants, so it wasn't quite worth the $12. Not to mention all of this took about 30 minutes to come out. I really wanted to like this place by it was very average..

Yeah.... nah. I don't know why I come back here. I always wait for a really long time for my order (and sometime TO order.) All the staff seem to be having a great time which is nice for them but when I'm waiting for half an hour plus for a plain old burrito I'm wondering why they don't stop joking around and start making my food, you know....

I'm fairly certain all the Uber eats and eat in orders get bumped to the front of the line, meanwhile the average takeaway doesn't get looked at.

The food is ok, nothing to phone home about. Basically cannot recommend this place at all.
Anon
Always wait extremely long periods of time. No recognition on arrival. Staff make you feel like you are a pain. Food is no where near as good as it used to be and not worth it for the terrible service.
Service was below average, did not know their own menu. Kept bringing us food/drink meant for other tables, in hindsight I wish I had accepted it to teach them a lesson. Call me racist, but hiring counter staff who aren't fluent in English is a poor choice. However, for 25c a wing, I don't know why I'm complaining.

Will be back to try the Monday special taco's, as my comrade opposite me has just recommended. Can't go wrong with cheap Mexican (famous last words).
Raj Krishnan
The food was bland, the Mexican spice is missing.

The meat in the Nachos was stale .
No atmosphere

I had a bit of food poisoning and diarrhoea.

The wings were very bad - it was sweet, the sauce tasted like home brand bbq sauce.
CGradeCyclist
Stopped by with the family for their Wednesday special of 25-cent wings. Wasn't expecting much, but they were really good! Particularly loved the buffalo chipotle style - yummo!

Special mention for the Mexican fries, they were the perfect accompaniment... :-)
Ellen Louise
Completely disappointed. Worst burrito I've ever had. Small, lacked flavour and overpriced. Won't be returning to try the rest of the menu.
Pandoras_lunchbox
Stopped by for a quick takeaway order, the wait was quick however the food was cold (and not fresh). Toy attempt at Mexican food. Mexican food doesn't have to be unhealthy trash.

If the rude young man who was working on the dinner shift on Mother's Day is the manager there's no hope at all for the place.
As 6 adults sat ignored on grubby sticky tables he flirted with another employees who seemed to be on her break.
Service slow
Food awful
No atmosphere
Hopefully the close down and make room for a decent restaurant for we locals to support and en

The Burrito Bar we have tried in other suburbs so as we were in the area thought we would try the crispy fish burritos again. It is one of our favorites & we had no problems with it at this outlet. Judging by the reviews on here seems folks have had a few grievances with some of the food! We have always struck lucky however it is a fast food outlet so do not expect good old fashioned Mexican authentic, more tex mex style
Justin
very ordinary!!! like most of the reviews i have now read very over priced for what you get $22.50 for a burrito and fish taco taco was ok not worth $5.5 as for the buritto with extra meat paid for very disapointed with a rice and bean filled burrito with little to no mushed up pulled pork & no salsa. not very busy but a long wait for crap you could buy at coles and microwave, thought id write to them and let them know about my experience but live there food no love
Tony
Bland, bland bland. No flavour in the burrito and cold chips with the loaded fries. Poor service with staff fluffing around without a clue.
I will not be back.
M Franks
Wow, very underwhelmed. Possibly the worst meal I have had in Brisbane. I give them a star and a half because the service was friendly and prompt. But other than that, the all-round quality was pretty bad. The cheap wings on Wednesday looks like a drawcard, but they're pretty average. The Tacos fillings were mushy and lacked Mexican flavours; They had diced tomatoes that looked they were chopped up and then left in the fridge several days - if I saw them in my fridge and thought I'd add them to today's salad, after looking I would throw them in the compost instead. The guacamole comes with loads of chips but only the tiniest serving of guacamole - about 3 tablespoons. The soon following stomach ache made my wife and I wish we just got a BBQ chicken from Woolies next door.
Sorry folks for the rant, but they can't keep serving food like that.

Came to dine as we saw a $1.95 Monday Taco sign. The only catch was you had a purchase a drink. Fine by me. When we went to order and pay, the staff member informed us that we had to purchase a drink EACH, even though my friend was buying a burrito that was not part of the deal. This seemed a bit odd to me, considering coke was $3.95. So I went to re-check the sign and it does not say a drink EACH had to be purchased in order to receive the deal, just one drink. Both the staff member and who seemed to be the manager argued with me to tell me that is what it is. They finally agreed to give me the deal without having to purchase two drinks after I told them i'd just go dine somewhere else. It then took 20min for 4 tacos and 1 small burrito to come out and by the time it did, it was cold and soggy. If you want quick Mexican, go to Guzman. At least they don't try to rip you off. Also attached is a photo of the sign. If you want everyone on the table to purchase a drink so that ONE person can get this deal. Then clearly state that.

Wing Wednesdays today, satisfying Bqq wings we got 30 = $7.50 . chips were crunchy the chipotle mayo is heaven all was good UNTIL WE ASKED for a take away container and they refused after we dined in followed by the manager telling us no split bill is allowed, there were no signs nor were we notified. Be aware.

This place is RUBBISH, run by Indians, cooked by Indians, food is terrible, rude staff, no alcohol in out cocktails 100%!shafted. This place USED to alright when it opened, but I would piss on it if I was on fire. Mexico is disappointed.

Furtherest thing from Mexican food!
Next to our watered down cock tails ! Food was flavourless .. My hot soft shell taco was a mild mess! Will not be returning !
Nadine
Got a burrito which alone was ok, not amazing.. When I was charged $2 for quacamole I expected to see it not have to search for the half teaspoon amount they put right down the bottom
Amanda Y
Was average, cheap, better off going to the Woolworths next door and getting the Old El Paso taco kit. Staff were nice its a shame about the food.
Buckley-23
Not recommended. I went there for a little while regularly but lost my patience. Overpriced for the food, and I usually get charged a different amount every time I go, when I order the same meal most occasions.
On one occasion the guy behind the counter added '10%' onto the final amount to be paid on Eftpos. On this occasion I could not even be bothered arguing - but an extra 10% for what reason? Absolute rort. Typical small business giving very little and charging too much. Won't be going back.
Madrugada
One word- disgusting. We ordered 2 mains and 2 sides. The food served was absolutely nothing like was shown in the pictures on the menu. The torta was a soggy mess of "Chipotle mayonnaise" with a skerrik of pulled pork as filling served in a wet bread roll. In fact everything was drowning in mayonnaise. Staff were indifferent and clearly didn't want to be there. Worst place calling themselves "Mexican" I have ever eaten. We left without finishing the food.
Katushka37
Very disappointing and overpriced. We decided to have a lunch there and were keen to try $5 special burrito. I asked staff about it and was given a menu instead. We ended up ordering beef burrtos which were more like rice burritos with no veggies and just a hint of meat and overall lack of flavour. However the real "surprise" was when we were paying for our lunch and got charged $20+ for 2 below average burritos...upon questioning the same staff member about our bill I was informed that we should have specifically requested lunch special burritos and not the ones we have ordered...he knew what we wanted but failed to explain it properly to us...won't be coming back...
Stacey
Fresh-Mex it ain't.. I ordered a burrito bowl which looked like it'd been prepared the night before and covered with cling - it was all kind've squished down. All concerned salad items looked pretty sad and the fish burrito wrap wasn't particularly tasty or fishy, consisting mainly of rice.
E.A.T.
Very disappointed. I ordered take away tonight and the girl that served me was lovely. At first I was reluctant to order the fries with my meal because there was no small/snack size, but I'm glad I did as even though they were pretty soggy they were the best part of the meal. I ordered two soft shell tacos. They came wrapped together and they were soaked in so much sauce that when I unwrapped them and tried to pick them up, they disintegrated and completely fell apart. I tried to salvage them with a knife and fork. The pulled pork didn't taste too bad but the chilli con carne was covered in so much hot sauce it was completely overpowering and not pleasant to eat. For 5 bucks a taco, these things were pretty pitiful. With so many Mexican joints to choose from these days, I wont be hurrying back to this one!

Late night? Pffft.. So much for a late night burrito. Supposed to be open until 11pm. Well it certainly wasn't open at 10:30 on a Friday night, and looked like it was long shut.
Brissyguy78
Terrible lunch. Have eaten here a few times with my family and have been pleased but seems either management has changed or they are cur cutting costs. Smallest burrito I have ever seen, very small amount of meat, lacked flavour and both mine and wife's had cheese in the middle that was so cold it had to have just come out of the freezer. Kids nachos were fine but left feeling very ripped off especially after paying the 15% public holiday surcharge. Waiter needed some gum or breathe freshener too, almost put me off my lunch altogether. Won't be back and will make the extra trip and suffer the parking at Carindale and go to GYG rather than eat here again.
GeorgiaIsobel
Love this place! Perfect if you are stuck for dinner. We usually go there with a big group and get takeaway - the Californian burrito is delicious and I would highly recommend the chicken quesilldia. The hot chicken wings are good too! For dessert we get the churros! We are always so full afterwards but it's worth it :)

Great night, food and service. We had a great night. We were in a bit of a hurry and the service was quick and the food was good. We will be back
Stephen Simpson
Great food all the time but you can't go past the lunchtime pork burrito for just $5 + my favourite buffalo wings on a Wednesday!
Mlehmann66
Bad service ,late in receiving food .I thought what was to be the owner was drinking while working ,could of help in serving ! bad food ,rolls from woolys would never go back no water on tables just bad Mexican food run by Indians maybe keep with the Indian food instead ...will not be back .
Charles Kumar
Chicken burrito is terrible! Rice was dry and under cooked with only 2 pieces of chicken. Service average! 3/10
Amelia
Ridiculously overpriced. I just ordered a chicken burrito and it was packed with rice with hardly anything else. The chicken was hard to find and taste and there was a small mouthful of salsa, guacamole and cheese. Very bland and will not be going back.
Jessica Gordita
Crispy fish burrito!. I have ordered the crispy fish burrito as a takeaway twice, it's absolutely delicious. Have never dined in but look forward to doing so and trying more of the menu.

25 cent Buffalo Wings All Day Wednesday! Nuff Said!!!. Had both varieties (Bbq and Chipotle)... Yummo... Not the best in Brisbane but definitely passable when you can get 30 Buffalo Wings for $7.50

Fries with spicy mayo were actually really really good and the picky teenager liked her kids nachos without meat.

Not reading you back your order to check correctness when you go to pay is unfortunate but not a deal breaker.

OVERALL would/will go back again but probs only for the Wednesday wings deal only cause there top notch mexican food in my local area

The Burrito Bar - Coorparoo, Brisbane. Like most of its burrito-based contemporaries, The Burrito Bar has been extending from its original location. I cannot vouch for the contemporaries, but this place has certainly improved its game. What can be helping is that it is run by Mexicans.

From hearing about it beforehand, my dining buddy wanted to utilise the option of ordering online. This was a great opportunity to test it out, and it was nearby a previously visisted place also looking popular. So with that, it was onto the site to try it out.
Ultimately, ordering online was efficient and well worth it.

My order was the Ultimate Mexican burrito - ordered hot - which had both meats of steak and chicken with rice, black beans, salsa, cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole. I ordered some sour cream as an extra to it.
My dining buddy got one of their BB Burritos which consisted of their salsa, black beans, cheese, lime rice, pico de gallo and avocado cream with the choice of filling - he got adobo chicken.
On the side, the two of us got the Burrito Bar Nachos to share. - corn chips topped with salsa, cheese, jalapenos, sour cream, black beans and guacamole.
For drinks, I got not go past getting a Jarittos soda opting for the mandarin flavour. These are some great sodas. Sugar cane is used instead of corn syrup and there is actual fruit within the drink.

These burritos are filled to the point of completely stuffed; holding one of them is like a little pillow in your hands. The fillings in them are to upmost freshness. They are tasty and very healthy with generous amounts of everything in them. It was also not too hot that it was ridiculous to attempt eating, but left the nice aftertaste in my mouth.

As for the nachos, they are much the same. The flavours are fresh and toppings are generously spread about. Jalapenos add a dimension to the dish.

The Burrito Bar is Coorparoo is one more example of how far Mexican has come in Brisbane. Now people can think of actual Mexican without associating the entire cuisine with Tex-Mex (not to diss Tex-Mex). This is always a good and convenient go-to place.

The Crispy Wrap is lovely, but over priced @ $10.00

$5 burrito weekdays. Specials everyday. Amazing shop. People expecting traditional mexican, not here but it's modern very nice mexican. Almost daily tradition for me now

I had nachos with pulled pork, guacamole and sour cream. It was $18.90 or there abouts, and could not eat it all! I suggest buying it between two with a serve of chips or something. I absolutely loved it though, just couldn't fit it all in my belly! My partner had the beef burrito, he also loved it, he was absolutely full up to his ears and couldn't help me finish my nachos. All in all, I'd give them an 8/10, and that is being picky. The only thing i would say is the plating of the food isnt very fancy. No salad woth the burrito, and seemed the nachos were very quickly put together (but let's be honest, the look doesn't change the taste, and the tast was amazing). I say it's good for an easy going dinner date. My partner says, good to bring a few friends down for some tacos and a beer. Mondays are $1.95 taco night. If you pick up a BB VIP card from the counter and activate it, you can get tacos for $1.95 on Tuesdays too!

Vast improvement since last visit. Food was hot and tasty, beers were cold and service was relatively quick. Still some glitches-floors were a bit messy (we were in at 630 so it wasn't too busy to tidy up). Also we asked for water but never received it. But overall an easy quick dinner fix.

Pretty Good for Mexican Fast Food. The Taco Salad Bowl was good but not fantastic they put the lettuce on the bottom which is all soggy and there is way too many beans and hardly any meat. Needs to be more consistent I have ordered this four times now and every single time it is served differently.
Chandrew
Tasty soft taco. If anything a but small for larger appetites. Either add more filling or drop the price slightly. Nice atmosphere.
Foodie Lover
Big improvement! Must be new management. Meals are big, fresh and quite tasty. Nachos Libre was excellent. Mexican burger is always good and mexican fries are yummy.
Lauren Michelle
Good meals and service. Friendly and quick service, and beautiful fresh meals! Very big servings and flavoursome burritos. Delicious!
Cheese Fiend
Excellent.. Beautiful burrito's and cheesy fries. Very highly recommended.
Brijesh Bhanvadiya
Excellent service. Excellent food. Very resonable prices. Under new management.
TTG
Expected the worst!. Have had a few friends say it was disappointing however we were pleasantly surprised. We weren't expecting traditional Mexican, it was modern, tasty and not bad for the price. Huge serves, could have gone the extra mile and added a touch of fruit into the sangria but overall it was pretty good.

Come to this restaurant with my girlfriend once a week, excellent food, great service and has never failed to satisfy me! Will always come back.
Karly Suzanne Fisher
Been here multiple times now and have enjoyed each visit. Yummy food. generous servings and can't go past the $5 frozen margaritas. What are you complaining about people!
Carla Garvie
Great family friendly restaurant. We were able to drop in mid week for a bite after work wih our toddler.
Veronica
Disappointing. Beef tacos- TINY. Pork burrito- average flavour. Nacho fries- large but not particularly tasty. For $45 I expected better.
Daniel Brannon
Great value and service. Definitely a favorite.
Liam Holmes
Amazing burritos, great price. Nice staff, gave me and my mates free chocolate nachos. Gave us some vouchers to use next time. Get amongst it.
Zacimara
Yummy Mexican!!!. Took my kids there for dinner. Had a great experience. Food was just right for the family. Plenty of variety on the menu to please the whole family. The hot chips are worth trying!!! Very different from any I've ever had anywhere. Would definitely go back there. Also \,the decor is very retro and cool.... LOVE IT!!!!!
Janey76
Great affordable food. I went here for dinner with kids and were really impressed with the service, price and food. I am surprised by many of the reviews as we couldn't fault our experience....
S Is For Serina
Foods great. But not very authentic!
Shelbelb
There are not many Mexican places where you can go to in Brisbane, which deliver a delicious dairy free and gluten free meal. Cheers to you Burito Bar, we felt welcome even though our request was alittle difficult!
Food Critic
The food and service has improved overtime. They now make one of the tastiest nachos and tacos that I've had. Bonus that it's gluten free as well.
Naomi Doessel
Very disappointing. I'm not a fan of the burrito, it was unevenly heated and not particularly nice. Rice inside? No thanks. The horchata was powdery and thin. Not expensive, but not worth it.
Tracey
Dissapointed. Every new establishment deserves a chance.. great location plenty of parking however very disappointing. sat at back of empty restaurant felt like the food court looking at woolworths all tables at front were for 4 we had 6. food was ordinary ( mexican chips lots but soft and soggy) and we ordered a few dishes.the best dish was the dessert of chocolate nachos they were delicious fajitas ok.staff were friendly and helpful. so management i hope you read this.. menus need better presentation ..side salads more lettuce it wont break the bank.. increase size of portions ...decorate the back of the restaurant maybe some plants to block woolworths or provide seating at front for 6.Hope teething problems pass... coorparoo needs this like i said good location.
Jake
Ok so Came here for dinner tonight and was expect a traditional Mexican burrito, first impressions matter and the waitress was rude and blunt. The fajita burrito lacked chicken very small amount of meat atall, beans were burnt, and yeh I don't blame the chef it's clearly the management trying to save money... Lame. I'm sure people would pay more for good food... Atmosphere sucked food sucked wait staff sucked waste of time this place sucked bring on mad mex or guzmans against this place anytime :) was going to try chocolate nachos didnt even bother !!!
Elliott
The dips were great tasty and fresh, however the service was very average, inexperienced and slightly rude. The mains were ok but not the best I've had GYG and mad mex are better. There was very little meat in a soggy burrito. I only came because I had a voucher and am glad to not be paying full price, however staff improvements would go a really really long way.
Nikky Dovey
Was ok but definitely would say Guzmans, Tuckeria or mad mex would be better
Yamiwaiting
Don't waste your money. Boring flavors, tiny meals and I mean tiny. Ordered 3 tacos, for starters they weren't normal tacos but small soft shell tacos with the smallest amount of meat and salad possible, completely ridiculous. Also the burritos have a great tortilla but the filling is all rice with a tiny amount of meat. Those of you that go there even after reading this review will be sorely dissapointed that you spent your money there. Really dissapointing restaurant, I doubt they get many return customers.
Manuel
Just go to GYG at carindale, burrito had no flavor what do ever. Staff are nice though which helps a bit
Foodlover
Go to Tuckeria or guzman or anywhere else. Any new restaurant should be given a grace period to find their feet but this place is a joke. It looks as though a 10yr old has created the menu as a school project but that is the least of its problems. The wait staff were running around like headless chicken, coming back and asking for a 2nd and 3rd time to confirm orders. I went on a Friday night around 5.30pm and ordered takeaway. After waiting for 30 minutes a waitress came up and asked what I was waiting on (beef burrito) and then proceeded to tell me that they were out of beef (huh?) and I would have to order something else. I asked for my money back and let her know that I had been waiting for 30 minutes to which she said "I know" and offered no apology. I have eaten there once before and the burrito was average but any other chain Mexican is 10 times better. It's worth making the trip to the Valley for Tuckeria, or Carindale for Guzman y Gomez. A real shame though, just when I had gotten excited about a new local Mexican place.
Dave Matthew
Not good. There are so many mexican style restaurants popping up everywhere now and there is a lot of competition and choices for consumers. This place really catch me.

I had chips for entree which were delicious and hot, this was rather exciting as I thought this could be a good thing! For Main I had a chicken and steak burrito and my friend had a chicken burrito. Both burritos, there was hardly any flavour? The chicken was overcooked and charcoal in sections (way too charcoaled), the rice was uncooked in sections and was cold, and the inside of the burritos was not really warm. This place is lacking flavour, they really need to pick up their act and I hope they do because it would be good to have a good mexican place around.

The service was okay. The table opposite where I was sitting asked for water but they forgot glasses. We didn't get a fork or serviettes and had to ask. It is the little things that make the dining experience that little bit more comfortable.

So no, this place isn't good and I really hope they pick things up. Food and service need improvement.
Myles Newton
It is amazing!

Disgusting. Waited over 20 mins for burrito on a Tuesday night and it arrived ice cold. How hard is it kids? Supermarket burrito kit would have tasted better!
Boycee
Yummo. I've had the pleasure of eating at both Broadbeach and Coorparoo stores.
i am in love with the tortilla chips and quacamole- super tasty, beautifully seasoned and chunky quac!. My daughter loved them. Tried the signature corn cob and i love the smokey flavour. The chipotle sauce is a perfect complement! Love the horchata drink- not sure what it is!- but really refreshing and the way it's served in the vintage bottles with paper straw is great..not very mexican but nostalgic! The standard Burrito Bar Burrito was nice.. packed with flavour and fresh ingredients. The large size was a little too large given my entree but i couldn't fault the flavour and it was hot! (unlike an earlier visit to Southbank i had just after opening!).. My only criticism is there was too much rice but flavour was spot-on.
Great value, good service and great atmosphere for casual table service!
Gugu
Horrible! No flavour food was not fresh and the salad had rice down the bottom and it was cold and in big clumps. The guacamole had no flavour at all and the chips where stale. A real disappointment and this place won't last if the food stays terrible like this. As one of my areas local businesses I really hope they improve so they can succeed.
Loretta Lee
Really lovely, fresh and tasty food. Service was great and I'm sure we'll be back often. Loved, loved, loved the corn chips.
Kat McAulay
Great addition to Coorparoo. Not much different in concept to the proliferation of other burrito places in Brisbane at the moment, but we just had a great meal here - I had the Naked Burrito and my partner had the normal burrito. I'd call the quality a cut above. We both chose the slow cooked pork option and would definitely have it again - great sweetness and texture. The beans and lime rice were also delicious. We had the three dips to start and the chips are much tastier and sturdier than the commercial corn chips that many mexican places serve (although they would have been better warmed up a bit). The chipotle dip was a real standout. Great for a fast, good value weeknight meal - and much better than my experience at the Southbank franchise.
Gertrude Bliss
Been to the other burrito bars and this one is totally different experience. More a dine in. Food is at a
New level and the service I had made my visit . Although not licensed yet so that was a disapointment but there is a bottle shop inside the centre.
A Local
Terrible. We ordered tacos and they came out cold. Not just normal cold, but cold like the salad and tacos had just come out of the fridge. The meat was lukewarm (probably hot when they put it on, but put on cold taco shells and cold salad straight out of the fridge, it doesn't stay warm even when it reaches the table!).

The young lady serving was apologetic and offered to replace them, which she did. Thank you. But this time when they came out they were only slightly warmer What they had done was to try to hide all the fridge cold salad in the cold taco shell by putting the meat on top this time rather than having it on the bottom in the first round! Clearly having the salad a little warmer and actually heating the taco shells isn't in their secret recipe....

Staff were kind of well, rude..... Not sure whether its because all the front staff running the place were 19 or whether they just didn't care.....

I regularly get better service (and nice hot food) at Mc Donald's (maybe thats where the staff are from....)

Oh, and the music???? WTF is with that? Do I really wanna eat my taco listening to the greatest Trance/Dance/rock/pop of the 90's/00's?

I wanna feel Mexican!!! Give me some Mexican music with some whiny man on his guitar talking about getting back his lost sombrero!

Anyways, we will never go back. Such a shame. Keen to check out the burger shop next door.

Do yourself a favour, give this a miss, and pray that the Americans bring Taco Bell over here..... again......
