The first time I've ever sat in at a Red Rooster restaurant, this store - quiet as it was - strikes you with offers everywhere, papers to read, a baby chair, toilets and a reasonably sized car park.
What was most impressive, however, was Rooster always pull out a great value meal for the masses, making this much loved Aussie store a no brainer if you are starving, there's one nearby and you love chook!
So, to the case in point, the double deliciously delicious $5 Lunchbox - featuring a quarter Chicken (Leg or Wing), a serving of small chips and a glaze of your choice (Moroccan glaze, Hickory BBQ or Soy and Garlic.)
The chicken was so tender - although the glaze I could take or leave - and the chips were really good also. Soft, fresh and with a nice seasoning, not overly seasoned but just right. The coleslaw was chunky but lacking mayo.
Service was genuinely friendly and quick, and the food was brought to our table, which was all wonderful. Genuinely poor, however, was a lack of receipt offered, especially poor as we needed to check a price on a particular item.
Always a trusty fast food partner, Red Rooster rocked today and filled a void left by long gym and dentist sessions really rather well. Cluck cluck...
