Review Press'd Cafe - Brisbane

Fair pricing on tasty Chinese cuisine. Thoroughly enjoyed their pork chow mein and would come back to the Corner just for another serving. Love the added touch that they chill your wine glasses for you!

Richards Tasty Corner is by far the best Chinese I've had in QLD! When I get the cravings for fried rice and sweet and sour pork this is definitely my go to. Atmosphere is mostly authentic music, staff are super lovely and the food is always fresh and hot. Quality, taste and quantity is all AMAZING! Only negative is they don't do delivery and the frequency of my orders is all dependent on if I can get a car park on a busy street which is unfortunate.

Very nice location and ambience. Host and hostess are very friendly and polite. Catered to every ask. Food was extremely tasty though ordered only the vegetarian options.

Yeah no complaints. Lemon chicken was good all round. Counter lady has lot of character.

Had the flat mates pack to deliver. Live just around the corner. It was a Friday night so waited not too long. Food was average to good. I suppose I would get again but select the better dishes

Have got takeaway here 4 times. Food good, but not worth the continuous wait times. If you want to eat here add as at least 30 minutes plus to what you are told

The quality of their food, especially for the seafood laksa, is awesome đŸ˜‹ $13 lunch deals make it even more worth!

I told the lady I was after a meal with no pork. I ordered sechuan chicken, they gave me fried rice with Bbq pork in it!!
I specifically said, NO PORK!!
They then hung up on me and didn't offer me an alternative meal.
Pretty poor service. Was not happy AT ALL.

Probably the only Chinese restaurant in the New Farm/Tenerife area, so there's not too much competition but it still takes a lot to be a good Chinese restaurant. This has a very casual ambience, but can get a bit busy on weekends. Food is great! Please support this wonderful team of polite and friend staff during Covid times. I asked them if business was okay and they said no apart from weekends. Be a shame to lose them!

Great value for money with very generous portions. Staff are very friendly and I am yet to be disappointed with any of the selections I have made.

Have been eating at Richard’s restaurant since 15 years ago before they moved to their current address. Quality of food as been excellent throughout all these years! Highly recommend!

Friendly service and authentic Chinese food.
Reasonable pricing and portions. We ordered the Peking duck w/ San choy Bao (lettuce wraps) and it was delicious. Takeaway available.

Really delicious food there. Nice service and kind staff. Sometimes, they have kind of Chinese style show in Friday night. Better than any of restaurant at Sunnybank.

Has mix feeling about this place. The food I have tried so far were great. The staff, however seems needs a bit training. Understand English is not their first language but at least you should understand what your customer has ordered. We have ordered few times but when we went to pick up there was one dish missing. Another time we been told they are busy and the wait time is 25 mins, after 50 mins the food is finally here. Make your own judgement, food is great if you don’t mind the not so great customer service.

I found out that there was a new Chinese restaurant that opened up in newstead. Always liked newstead so I thought I'd give this place a visit when I had some Asian cravings.

Was a super cute and quaint spot in the corner and there wasn't anybody else when we got there close to 2pm. The lady host was friendly and lovely and attended to us perfectly.

Turns out there's quite a bit of history behind the shop and you can find out more from the host or read it on the back of the menu if you're interested in that!

To the food! I ordered char kway teow, stir fried scallops with seasonal vegetables, and braised beef with curry sauce. The owners declared that they do not use MSG in their cooking so I am quite happy with that.

The char kway teow was lovely, I like mine without Chinese sausages and they did that perfectly. It had just the right amount of wok's breath for flavour and was not oily/heavy on the stomach. It came with combination meats and some seafood. Was an extremely lovely dish.

The braised beef with curry sauce was excellent as well. The sauce was just the right amount of curry flavour but it wasn't too heavy and thick. The beef was extremely tender and almost melts in your mouth. Highly recommend beef dishes here if you love good tender cooked beef.

The scallops with seasonal vegetables was phenomenal with a ginger based sauce. I am a sucker for ginger items and the ginger sauce that the dish was stir fried in was so flavourful and refreshing. Scallops were in generous portions and were plump and not overcooked.

10/10 I will be coming back to try out the other interesting dishes.

We were so excited to find Richard and Winnie had returned to Brisbane to open Richard’s Tasty Corner. We’ve now had the pleasure to enjoy Richard’s food on and off over 3 decades. Always super fresh, always tasty and very generously portioned. And Winnie is the perfect host. Seriously happy to skip the Valley for this awesome Chinese restaurant

We chose to eat dinner here as my partners daughter was with us and she had her dog.
This Chinese restaurant allows you to bring dogs if you sit outside.
There were 2 other tables who had dogs with them the night we went.
We ordered entrees and stuck with water as we had been out for a drink before we arrived.
The menu is easy to read and divided into sections.
We had chicken satay sticks and a hot and sour soup to start with.
The soup had an odd consistency and I found it too unappealing to finish. The satay sticks were well received.
Next we had stir fry beef, chicken and cashews and vegetarian fried rice.
The chicken dish arrived without cashews which they rectified. The vegetarian fried rice had egg in it so they made another serve without egg.
The meals were a good size and the service friendly.
