Review Lions At Springwood - Brisbane

This first time visit was over 8 years in the making lol I had been stalking their menu and wasn’t finding it very vegetarian friendly, hence the added delay. About 18 months ago I called and asked if they did breakfast, and was advised they did not. Happy to know that breakfast is now a weekend thing! However, this impromptu visit was certainly a pleasant surprise and I’m glad we decided to go. On the downside, and I am obviously not privy to their kitchen layout and cost factor etc - they don’t have a separate fryer for the vegetarian stuff - like their arancini and the chips. With so many dietary (gf, df) requirements these days, I would like to humbly request if this could be considered if possible. I wouldn’t also mind if a vegetarian curry could be added to your Wednesday night specials as opposed to having all meat curries. Pretty please :) However, the good points outweighed this. Upon entry, the friendliest greeting ever from Jazzie. The outlay of the whole club was very well laid out and even my dining partner commented how it had changed since they last visited a few years ago. I had menu questions with regards to choosing what my vege options were, and Connie was so very helpful. I truly appreciated it. Nikita made me the best LLB and was so charming with her interaction. My truffle mushroom pizza was just sublime. Flavoursome and delicious. Definitely could not finish it and had to take it home. Thanks, kitchen! I was advised that the chicken schnitzel was pretty good. Upon asking, this was confirmed as their most popular menu item. There was no space for dessert this time, but definitely an option for another visit. Thanks Lions, for the warm welcome and hospitality, we will definitely be back.

I’ve been a loyal member since day one and have seen all the new renovations and new menus that have come and go. I’ve never been disappointed with anything from here. The food is always amazing and has the best portions. One thing though is if your not a big eater the portion sizes are enough to feed an army 😂😂. My family and I have had birthdays and a wedding there and will continue to keep going because they are amazing people. Plus they have a new breakfast range that we have recently tried and it was amazing. Definitely will be going to breakfast more often. Thank you Lions!!!

Haven’t been here for years - thought we would try and was really surprised and impressed. All staff were friendly and helpful and very professional. Menu was great and good delicious! Entertainment was nice for the evening and suited the dinner setting. We will be back!

Friendly staff, nice facilities and a pretty good food at a reasonable price. Would return again. Definitely recommend checking this place out for dinner or a few drinks with friends. Very loud environment in the bar and on the deck at times though so if this isn't your thing this place is not for you in busy periods.

The new management had really gone all out on the talent. The atmosphere was awesome and the RnB band and DJ were excellent. Great to see more young people enjoying the club. The place was packed. Also they made more room for dancing. This is over of the smallest dance floors which is why we tend not to come unless they've got someone on we want to see.

In all fairness, this place was packed the night we were there but I found it way too warm and stuffy to be enjoyable. We moved to the small seating area in the Pokie Room which was a little better. Staff were friendly and the coffee was good, my lower rating is simply about not being a comfortable temperature, the rest of our group (10 of us) all felt the same, hot and stuffy. We were there last weekend of May and it was cool outside (shame all the seats in the alfresco area were taken.

Some meals are expensive for a club meal. The lunch specials we have seen cheaper for members in other clubs. They advertise Sunday Roast, but the other week we dined at 5.30pm & were told they ran out of the roast at lunch, we couldn't understand why you wouldn't cook more for dinner. Bar service is a bit slow, they need more staff at dinner service. Ample parking.

Recently moved into the area, and decided to check out The Lions. The decor is slightly dated, but its a great place for food, drinks, catching up with friends, or seeing the various shows put on. Staff are very friendly, and always very welcoming.
