Review Hot Plate - Brisbane

We are brunch here palmist every morning when we were staying in South Bank because it was just such a wonderful cozy spot with delicious coffee and great food. You even get your own Ibis spray on your table to help defend your bacon! Not that they are trying to take the food directly out of your hands. Super fast service for everything and delicious food. Nothing so mind blowing that I wanted it every time, so we got to explore the menu each day. Great spot to kick off your morning.

Nice place to stop for breakfast on the South Bank. Coffee was very nice and the food arrived quickly despite the place being very busy. I had the Burger Hash which looked so good I forgot to take a picture of it. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant breakfast. The place was full yet the meals arrived quickly. Really good value considering it’s in the heart of Southbank. Coffees arrived after the meal which made sense as there was a big line for coffees. Overall would recommend and will dine here again.

Staff are very friendly. Food was quite delicious as well. There’s a bottle of water, I didn’t know for what until I saw the sign!!! When bin chickens approach, using that to shoot them 😂😂😂 It was my 2nd chilli scrambled egg in my snap trip, and it was fabulous ! Love this dish! The dessert served tiramisu on the day, and tasted awesome as well. The colour of this cafe made it tidy and brightly !

Lovely and very popular cafe in the Southbank district of Brisbane. Excellent food and coffee. My smashed avocado with poached eggs was excellent, the Turkish bread was very fresh . Staff very friendly, even thought it was busy. And the local fauna is happy to peck around looking for the odd scraps. Free Ibis Repellent is provided on each table, in case they get cheeky !

Nice food and friendly service. If you like your juice in cup not from the bottle or butter on your toast don’t forget to ask.

Went for a late lunch. Service was friendly and very efficient. Ordered an iced latte, which was very smooth and creamy. Also ordered a caprese turkish sandwich. Served toasted, it was warm, crunchy, and very flavourful, but could've had more feta though. Pricing was a little high ($20 for a toasted sandwich and coffee), but expected of the area. Street parking available, but there's also an underground parkinglot near by. @travel__eat__repeat_

Dropped in for a post meal coffee and cake. When a chocolate brownie costs more than a slice of cheesecake it made me scratch my head but hey that's Southbank dining for you. Coffee was good but not as hot as it could or should be, didn't splurge on the brownie and had the peanut butter cookie instead (and banana bread) - was very good . Service was good and staff were pleasant. The bin chicken stealing food sign gives you a laugh.
