Had tried this place out last Friday, great working week take away lunch option for some quality and affordable Chinese that you can get quickly and relatively cheaply (Between $9-$15 for lunch special). Can I just say that so far this is the best Chinese I have had by far! They have a for filling portion I could not finish my meal, it was so nice I will most definitely be back again
Service here was faultless. Friendly, unobtrusive and accommodating. Everything you could have asked for. Food was fresh and very well presented (and of course, tasty).
We came for a near Easter treat for four and went the way of the degustation. 8 dishes later we were not stuffed - we were pleasantly replete. It's rare that you get chef staff that can make that balance. I would highly recommend this place for special occasions - and if you are well off, then go more often. Price isn't expensive cost us round $40 each
And remember they a BYO so you can bring you own drink.
One of the best places you can eat at in Brisbane.
Reminiscent of the legendary Chinese places in Ashfield, Sydney.
Few places in Brisbane have food this good. Ignoring the price.
Pork Dumpling skin is soft but has good structural integrity. The meat is succulent. The fried noodles aren't too greasy. All the dishes are done quite well.
Wish they had more of these places in the food desert that is Brisbane.
Finally got see what all of the rave is about! We have dinner at Furlong on Friday, it is a lovely family owned restaurant with good selection menu. The service is top notch and the food is delicious, as you would expect.
Everything we ordered was good, especially the Singapore Style King Prawns which we agreed were the best we have had in Brisbane. I have to say the Roast Duck that we ordered were the BEST, really impress us:)
It is a perfect spot to celebrate a special evening or host some visitors who have an appreciation for nice dining, seafood and will enjoy our own wines also the horse racing tips offer by the owner while you dine. The owner owns few race horses and the tips he gave us are excellent. Will back again.
I have never had a bad meal there. You can also bring your own wine, which is great. Some sound proofing could be a good investment for them. Try them, you will not be disappointed.
Great friendly staff nice n clean but authentic Chinese food the garlic prawns are to die for as is the beef with black bean, the cashew chicken and friend rice the cook here never fails to deliver a great meal weather it's eat in or takeaway. I've been here a few times and never disappointed me ever if your near this restaurant drop in and see these people they are great
We have had takeaway a few times and dined in once at Furlong; the dining room is casual of a suburban chinese restaurant which is good you don't needs to dress up and they are busy.On the occasion we dined in they were busy and service was friendly and efficient.
Living (very) local, we find ourselves there for takeaway; and they seem to do a roaring takeaway trade... The ginger beef and steamed rice is our favourite; really fresh veges and tender, tasty beef... I'm making myself hungry thinking about it... hahahaha...
The food is simply fabulous, we haven't had one dish not meet expectations. Furlong is definitely above the average but not expensive compare to others.
Definitely recommended.

Ordered home delivery last night quoted 45 -50 mins but food were arrived within 30 mins which is excellent. All meals still hot , the Peking Duck and Garlic Prawns were the best. Food, well nothing short or sensational and at $50 for two of us was a great price. The owners have hit a winner.
Rate 10/10
Having not eaten Chinese for years my husband and I decided to try Furlong Dining on a night out. Best decision we could have made!! The food was fabulous and the staff courteous, prompt and friendly. Food was hot and fresh with awesome flavours. We chose to have the $39 'dinner for two' special. It was great value for money and more than enough for the two of us. The food tastes this good!! Will definitely visit again!!

Good food and good service. Fair price compare to the town. 6 of us order 3 entree Steam Prawn Dumpling, Peking Duck and Quail. For main: Crispy beef, garlic prawn, curry lamb, chicken in satay sauce, beef in black bean and fired rice. And we can bring our own wines to drink which is the best we all happy from now we don't need to go out to town to have Chinese
Just went there dinner with my wife. We had their Dinner for 2 meal with Chinese fired rice only cost $39 for two. Very good food and nice staff. The best thing is they are BYO I can bring my beer and wife can have her wine. Very happy will go again
Authentic Chinese cuisine with light, clean, fresh subtle flavours that sneak up on you and kiss your tastebuds. The staff are warm, polite, thoughtful and friendly. A very welcome and fitting addition to the Racecourse Road foodie strip, and we look forward to trying out the rest of the menu :)
