This place is fine for takeaway.
Haven’t been here since 2017 to be honest, and last I remember the food was pretty good.
The complex always seemed a bit weird... just this place and the Phoenix cafe open after office hours. But yeah we used to order takeout here regularly and never had any qualms... call them before and pick up in 20minutes.
The actual dine in experience is a bit cramp and ordinary, but so what, the foods food if you eat in or eat it at home watching Netflix.

As the same as Joe K, I drove past this restaurant many times but never thought about to give it go. Not until I read Kee's review, then I bookmarked this restaurant and finally had a dinner last night. Honestly, the dining area is not that spacious so it is easily packed with diners and you really need to push your luck to have a table. I was lucky to have the last table for two near the entrance. Ordered the steamed pork dumplings (20 pieces), the Mixed Vegetable with pork & egg and their signature dish - Sesame Chicken Soup. The first dish came to the table was the mixed veg that was exactly the same to match my mental image of it. The egg was absolutely fascinated to sit on top of the mixed vegetables like a hat. Vegetables were braised to perfection with vermicelli and shredded pork. The technique of the egg omelette earned my appreciation due to the fact that it is not easy to control the timing and temperature of the oil for such effect. Well, only this dish will be worth for people to die for. Next came to the table was the Sesame Chicken Soup. I loved the tenderised chicken shimmered in the soup to make it so tasteful. Texture of chicken pieces were all good as well. However, the pork dumplings were just average and they were not as good as what I had in the Golden Dumplings of Sunnypark. Overall, this restaurant really deliveries authentic Taiwanese cuisine, however, the dining area is so small with lots of diners so you really need to speak loudly otherwise your partner won't be able to hear what you said....

My friends had kept talking about this place for its home style cooking; finally I was brought there. Before stepping in, my friends had warned me not to expect a good service and mentioned that the owner was sort of rude.
The owner rushed us to place our order probably because there were people waiting for their tables. It's such a small restaurant; that's why the seats were limited. Not only the owner was serving, but also a waiter. He was actually quite nice and efficient. The service was adequate.
My friends managed to order:
• Three cups chicken: rich in flavours and the chicken was perfectly cooked.
• Mapo Tofu: the dish didn't come out with a thick coating of hot chili oil covering its surface which I heard keeping the contents underneath hot, and lacked a little flavour.
• chicken soup: my friends quite liked this soup, but personally it was too oily.
• stir fry glass noodle with vegetable coated with omelette: loved the creation and perfect mixture and texture.
Take away seemed to be popular as I saw many people came in to pick up their food. My friends sometime did takeaway here for the reason that the food was nice and good valued.
This restaurant has survived for more than 20 years for some reasons. One of the reason is that it was one of the very few restaurants with Taiwanese style cooking back then. Still think of it when we're considering to have takeaways or Taiwanese dishes. Many of their Taiwanese home-cooking dishes are still irreplaceable for many people that I know despite the dining environment and sometimes slow service.
Decided to come here after reading all the good reviews about it. The shop comes with no frills but def delivered everything I wanted: simple good home food. Ordered the mapo tofu and pickled omelette and was given a free bowl of soup by the lady. Her attitude was really good too. Def returning back for more.
This is our regular Chinese takeaway (everyone needs one)! I read other reviews that say that the lady at the counter is rude. I honestly haven't spent enough time talking to her to find out. I order my food, she gives me a time and I collect. Nice and easy, and the food is tasty.
Never had a complaint about their service or food. Enjoy the golden fried rice, the satay chicken, curry beef and curry vegetables (comes with glass noodles which I ask them to remove).
If you're looking for a regular and cheap Chinese takeaway with decent food, this is the place for you. If you're looking for a deep and meaningful conversation with the staff, perhaps not.
Golden rice is hidden @ sunnybank hills, a great treat for those that stay around.
Try and book if you're eating in as the place is usually full!
A must try item would be the salt and pepper pork ribs, I absolutely love the dish!
The service there is pretty decent too, the food comes relatively fast. And if the shop is full, just takeaway a few dishes to head home and savour it!
Will definitely be coming back more than once!
The only drawback is that this place only accepts cash so make sure you have some in your wallet!

I drive by here all the time and finally decided to venture away from our regular chinese take-away to try Golden Rice.
I read every review and was definitely put off by the "nasty service" and "average food" but then there were some reviews that talked down the restaurant but loved some dishes despite the sour taste left from the service lady. To me, thats total honesty and if food can still taste good after an unpleasant encounter with its cook or service lady then Im willing to give it ago.. after all im not looking to make a friend, I just want some dinner to pick up and take home to my family.
So, I called up to place my order; I was greeted by a obvious arrogant woman, she was very blunt and so was I. ("Treat others how you want to be treated" was put into full use in this moment) I read out my order, she repeated as I said it. I gave her my name she gave me a time and that was that. I hung up the phone with the same cheeky smile I started the call with as I knew very well she has a reputation to be rude and so I just went with it.
I arrived right on time, minimal words exchanged and I'm totally fine with that. food came out fresh and hot.
I ordered: golden fried rice, mongolian lamb, honey chicken and 3 cup chicken (recommended by reviews)
I really enjoyed all of the dishes. The 3 cup chicken was quite fiddley as it has quite a few bones but again I was ok with this as I had read in another review this was the case. The mongolian lamb was very tasty, I wouldnt go as far to say it tastes any better than many other chinese take aways but it was delicious.
It did however contain a serious overload of onion which is slightly dissapointing but it still tasted great (if you like onion) don't be fooled it did contain lamb.
Id like to also add that another reviewer added that the food contains no msg as he wasnt left thirsty. Let me just say "bull sh#t" I sculled 2 bottles of water during our meal sitting as it made me thirsty as anything. It 100% contains msg and alot of it.
Taking all of this into account, I will certainly return for another take out night, perhaps we will limit this to every once in a while though.
Would I recommend? Yes, so far so good.
This place is my everything. Been coming here for at least 10 years and the food is the best in the area. Pick up times are quick, the people are lovely! Yes you will need cash but my god is that ATM visit worth it! I cannot speak highly enough of this place!
ALSO! I can see that there are a lot of negative reviews for the older lady that works there. She speaks practically no english, I've known her since I was 12 and still yet to get a smile. Please don't take this in a bad light, she just doesn't understand whats going on!
I wanted fried rice but I had no idea where my closest Chinese takeaway was so using zomato I found Golden Rice which was actually right next to Sweet Delicious! After ordering from the very blurry menu on zomato ("does that say satay or sassy?") we went to pick it up. If you're planning on ordering from here remember to bring cash because they don't have eftpos!
Our package included fried rice, sweet and sour pork, chicken with cashews and four spring rolls for $38.50 (price raised from the current menu on zomato) and ten pan fried dumplings for $10.50. Everything was really delicious especially the sweet and sour pork that was perfectly crunchy and the sauce was in a takeaway container to pour over. The chicken with cashews was more like beans with cashews but I like beans so I enjoyed it. I'll definitely come back whenever I want Chinese takeaway.
Authentic and delicious Chinese Sichuan, Yunnan cuisine and Taiwanese cuisine for great value. The service is always warm and welcoming. Nice place for local families. Will always come back.

What delicious Chinese food. We fell in love the first time we tried. The dishes are of good quality and affordable price.
I had been meaning for years to try the food here. Tonight, I ordered the 'Three Cup Chicken' and a combination omelette. The Three Cup Chicken was divine! I've never eaten before and it's now my new favourite! The combination omelette with gravy was fantastic.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had to wait for my order due to them being busy as, but I was given a free bottle of Pepsi. Now that is great service!
The rice noodles is so delicious, and the fish so fresh, soup so tasty. It’s fantastic!
The fish taste nice, the rice noodles with beef is so amazing, love it.
