Closed. Was good for a quick meal. It was busy today for lunch so the sushi train was fresh and hot item were hot. During slower times I suggest you order fresh sushi to be made for you. Sushi from train price varies and is coded by colour. Deserves a 3.8, but not a 4 stars.
Very dated cuisine, overpriced and a much lower standard of quality compared with Sushi Edo. A grilled salmon Aburi at Ginga is $5, Sushi Edo is $3.80... Ginga was popular in the early 2000, but sadly it hasn't evolved or kept up with the sushi market.
The staff were very nice and helpful when asked to recommend dishes and overall provided great service. The food was delicious, I ordered a Ginga sashimi platter to share between my husband and I and it was presented so well and tasted very fresh!
Ginga was really average. The Karaage was a poor imitation of Japanese cuisine, looking more like basic fried chicken. The chicken terriyaki was overcooked to the point of being dry. Always great. The sashimi was fresh and tasty. The tempura crab meat sushi is especially delicious.
Service a bit lacking sometimes, but food generally good! Better experience in morning before rush at lunch.
