Review 88 Forty Eight Bar And Restaurant - Brisbane

Not your typical Nepalese eatery. A variety of momos and other Nepalese favourites melded with Eastern & Western dishes. Very friendly service, the food came out in a timely manner and is packed with flavour.

Very nice dishes. Friendly staff & clean outdoor setting. Delicious food at good prices. 👍

Ordered egg Soup with mixed momo. Disappointed by the taste of both. Unbalanced spice level and too watery soup with forgotten salt in it. Too boldly priced for the quality served. Loud speakers during day business hours may deter you bringing business colleagues down.

So delicious, I have been meaning to try this place for a while and finally had free time to give it a go. They were so delicious, I had the Veg and Pork, the Pork definitely were my favourite. I want to come back soon and try the other flavours and the server was lovely too.

No complain about the foods, momo soup was delicious 😋. Though service should've been better. I think that front lady is not enjoying her job, so, I suggest her to find the enjoyable job where she can give her best. It's not good to present your negative attitude towards the customers.

A regular choice for myself and friends, Momo House delivers fine quality Nepali/indo cuisine that is a cut above street food. This evenings review is inspired by the egg-chowmein noodles with vegetables. A full flavoured meal with well balanced sensations. The onion is present but not over powering, so too the salt and the carrots are the perfect combination of crunchy yet soft. The outdoor seating is perfect for taking in the night air and live music is often played here. I recommend this restaurant to anyone willing to pay just a tiny bit more than Macca's for a decent meal!

I ordered the dumplings from here and couldn't eat them as they were too spicy despite being told they were not spicy by the lady who served me. I love dumplings and these were by far the worse I have had. Very disappointing. Do not waste your money here.

I had the salmon eggs benedict. It was huge- they definitely piled on the salmon. Eggs were soft and runny. It wasn't homemade hollandaise so I was happy I ordered it on the side.

I've also had ham cheese tomato toasties from here on the way to work- good bread and better than expected fillings- those are pretty good too.

It wasn't a bad place- it was better than I thought it would be. It was standard which is good for that area of the valley right now. It's a good people watching spot in the morning- that's for sure.

Passing through and decided to stop in here to have my third breakfast and first coffee for the day.

I dont seem to be having much luck lately with good staff and experienced this again here today, when you are in the public eye you need to be focused on customers keeping in mind they to can see what is behind the counter, this is a restaurant and shouldn't double as a makeup palour.

Eggs benny for me and Haloumi burger with onion rings for other half- coffee was nice, mains followed quickly after but a tad disappointed on the content- be more creative with the bread- may I suggest turkish or sourdough breads and not standardized coles/wollies bread, taste wasn't a issue just creativity a let down. Would I return, yes- just not in a hurry.

New bar/cafe/restaurant smack bang in the middle of the Valley!

To drink - mocha with extra chocolate and a haloumi burger with a side of onion rings. The coffee was excellent - I wasn't expecting to get such an excellent coffee. Smooth and well balanced just how I like it. What was also great was that the mug was full with the perfect amount of crema on top.

Food - haloumi burger and onion rings for me and eggs benny with ham for the other half. My haloumi burger was good. Topped with sun dried tomatoes, lettuce, hummus, roasted capsicum and homemade mayo. The burger could have gone without the roasted capsicum, it just made the bread quite soggy on the edges. I didn't get a lot of hummus and the haloumi could have been grilled a little longer. The onion rings were exactly how I like them. Super, super crispy batter and the onion nice and sweet.

Overall, a good meal that could be great with a few tweaks.
