Having only gotten the matcha soft serve before, I was surprised by how small the inside of the restaurant was. Nonetheless, there was enough seating for the six of us (all in a row, Japanese style) and there was a homely, cosy vibe that I appreciated.
There was free miso soup from a dispenser, which is a first for me. There was also dehydrated seaweed, which I didn’t realise until after I was a little too liberal with my shaking of the container full of what looked like small black leaves.
The food came out fairly quickly. I wasn’t expecting much because several people I’d met said it was too salty, but I really enjoyed my aburi salmon donburi. The salmon was tender and cooked to perfection, and though the amount of sauce may look alarming, I didn’t find it to be over seasoned. The serving size was also generous.
Overall a good meal and an absolute bargain for $5 (special deal on Facebook) but I’m not sure it’s worth the original $15.80 price tag.
I personally wasn’t a fan of the matcha ice cream (50c), but then again, I’m not really a fan of matcha in general. My friends said it was very creamy though - like it was made with condensed milk instead of normal milk - so take from that what you will.
Great selection for lunch. I got Salmon Aburi Don. Very clean and hygiene. Food tastes super clean and fresh. Serving size is quite big which is great. Price is okay. But I can't spend 15 on lunch everyday. Plenty of seating at lunchtime. You can guage the quality: look at the ceramic and the amount of seaweed I got.

food range is like Japanese and Taiwanese mix (especially the drink menu, with bubble tea and fruity juice).
I ordered the lunch menu which is cheaper choice and still got a lot of choices to choose from.
the salmon pan pepper lunch was amazing, lovely sauce (not spicy), and the pot was hot, you can see the salmon cooking from mid raw to your style.
and it was also lovely that they have the self serve miso soup area.
Friendly staff greeted me at the door with big smiles on arrival, yummy bubble tea, delicious green tea icecream. Didn't try the food there but will be returning for food next time.
Omelette rice curry is decent and comes in large portions, however their price is also high. Their milk tea is great, especially with the 2 for 1 offer. Good restaurant atmosphere and dining experience overall.
Great food/drinks, service and atmosphere! 50c Matcha soft serve is da bomb! Better than maccas! Quite extensive menu, they have hot plates, don and snacks like takoyaki. Cheesy foam green tea was so good! Yum, will be back...
Big week for these guys - opening + free food. Not wanting the free option the team were super accommodating and quick despite being super busy. Omu rice with pork katsu and curry - delicious. Katsu pork thick, crunchy, tasty, tender. Curry sauce excellent. Omu rice beautifully done. Impressed.
Best Japanese pepper I have had in Australia. Little gem that is not easily found. The grilles salmon rice bowl (salmon aburi don) was also very delicious. Nice little and authentic Japanese restaurant.

The Pork Katsu Curry is amazing here.

A nice casual Japanese style cafe, perfect for a quiet food to yourself or on a date.
Great lunch specials here. Different Japanese fare, great rice bowls and sizzling plates. Service is quick and bubble tea here is good too!
Friendly staff & the food is delicious & freshly cooked. I highly recommend this place to family& friends
