Review Kebab & Knafeh House - Brisbane

It’s good place with wide variety to chose from . Often busy during 6:30-9pm so finding table can be difficult. Also chances of getting order wrong or meat half cooked as they try to make in rush with huge volumes of orders . Usual times food is perfect. Other than that faced no issue. It’s good restaurant with fresh food .

Lunch @kebab_palace today and what a delicious feast! 🥰 We had the Mixed Grill, Tasty Lamb Pizza and Spinach and Cheese Pide! 🍕 The Mixed Grill was cooked to absolute perfection, it wasn’t grey inside but wasn’t rear either which I like! I love to pair this grill with the chilli and garlic dip, trust me on this one, you won’t regret! 😉The lamb chop was so soft, the Adana was very juicy, the meat and chicken skewers were marinated to perfection and so soft 🥹 The Tasty Lamb Pizza was next level, the softness of the dough, the spice of the lamb, the fetta and cheese, absolutely delicious! It was my first time trying it and loved it ❤️ My favourite thing that I always order when I come here is the Spinach and Cheese Pide! This one is always a winner in my book, especially with a squeeze of lemon! Yum 🧡 Thank you for having us! Definitely will come again soon 💚

Been coming here for years! Wonderful food! Always busy and thus not always the cleanest. Else I would have given 5 stars for sure. Also they're the best priced in Brisbane as far as I know. So definitely worth the trip.

Ordered their Chicken Platter. The taste was good but they put the sauce on top of the chicken. The kebab place I go to in Melb. gives the sauces on the side so maybe i expected that. Also the bread was under the chicken and was less than what I expected. My SIL likes their Peri Peri Pizza. Overall would rate my experience 8.5/10.

My friend and I were looking for a quick hot lunch. We were looking for a kebab shop and eventually found it off a small dirt car park at the back and via a ramp. We were intially very unimpressed with our surrounds as everything seemed disorganised and dirty in the shopping square. On entering the shop it was clean and there was some great things on offer. The kebab shop was terrific inside well laid out it and spacious. It had booth seating and also tables. At the front there was a domed wood-fired oven and a big long counter with four staff members in black aprons. The menu is quite extensive. It is displayed overhead with photographs as well. There is a terrific variety of hot foods. This includes middle eastern kebabs, pides, golzeme, Italian pizza, American burgers, salads and hot fries/chips too. There is a drinks fridge stocking Bundaberg and other soft drinks and fruit based mineral water drinks. Displayed under the front counter was six types of Middle Eastern sweets, ie nut and syrup type with walnuts, almonds, pistachios chocolate, eccetera. They looked great and we weren't disappointed, perhaps a little overly sweet... but certainly fresh! We ordered a box to take away. I ordered a chicken kebab and my friend ordered a lamb golmeze as we needed a quick takeaway. They were both hot yummy and flavourful. The variety of toppings for the hot food, including ingredients such as prawns, was very refreshing to see. There was one negative at the end of our visit that spoilt our visit. I had particularly enquired to order something that was quick as we needed to get to an important appointment ( for surgery) and gave her, the lady taking orders, the time line. While the lovely lady on the counter assured us there was no problem with our choice, this didn't seem to translate to other staff members. After waiting for a long time and finishing our drinks and part of the sweets to compensate for the wait I enquired about the remainder of our order. I was meet with blunt repeated questioning 'what time did I arrive? ' instead of efforts to fulfil how order or report the progress of our order or any other helpful or reassuring comment. I explained that we had been assured that our choice prior to ordering were foods that would be prepared to quickly and within our time frame. No one seemed to know where the remainder of our food was.?? After no response or action, I asked for a refund which was ignored. Unfortunately there was no quick response forthcoming. We sat again and waited further and finally the last over order was shoved at us across the counter. Along with that came undesirable expressions from some staff seemingly blind to our initial needs and requests and the long wait. There were only two other people at a table in the shop when we came in, so it would seem there was not a backlog of orders. I noticed nothing cooking on the any of the grills. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy our food much after that mainly due to time limitations... trying to eat while driving... but the food was good quality . I would have liked to have given this place five stars. Having said that I would go back again if we were in the area and wanted quality hot food.

Had the Chicken Shish with the spicy sauce, absolutely delicious, charcoal chicken, fresh salad, fluffy pita bread and rice. Very filling and a more than reasonable price to pay for such a big meal. Special mention goes out to Omar ! Very quick and friendly service with a smile.

***Beware*** This place was terrible. Food was very late - more than 40 minutes. Chose to dine in - big mistake. Poor service I requested wait staff to ask a table which was shouting across the restaurant to be a little quieter as I have sensory issues. Waiter said i don’t know and walked away. Lamb was rock hard. Cutlery was so dirty, food stuck to it. Nann, was two tiny pieces. Not enough for one stick of meat. Was not a good environment at all. If you are looking for an afghani/Pakistani restaurant. Try somewhere else. Super disappointed, will never return or recommend.

Prices increased and quality and quantity both compromised. They served pitta bread instead of Turkish bread.. soggy salad and cold chewy hard chips were served.. very disappointing experience. Their quality and services are not consistent...Rice are also very thick and over boiled

Finally a great Kebab place in the Mt Gravatt area! Have already been here half a dozen times since they opened - I think I might have a mild addiction forming. The owners are sincere and engaging, and it is obvious that care has been put into the ingredients and preparation of everything on the menu - it is consistent every time I order there. Pricing is more than fair and the servings are generous. Ambience is simple take away but clean and friendly. Only frustration was that the mon-fri hours were midday to 3pm initially and many people (including myself) hit lunch a bit earlier than that. I noticed they have now changed this to 11am-3pm which solves that minor complaint. Can not recommend this place enough - I will be a regular well into the future.

Most authentic kebab I've ever had. The falafel was particularly outstanding and you can tell the owner has put a lot of thought into his ingredients. Tried knafeh for the first time and was blown away. The AMAZING savoury sweet cheesy dessert is something everyone has to try and they make it lovingly from scratch!
