I’ve been looking for a place nearby for KBBQ in the Valley since it’s easier than going to the city, Sunnybank or Warrigal. SEOUL SSAMM is right down the road from the heart of Fortitude Valley and just off James Street with many other fantastic restaurants. However, none of them offer great Korean barbecue outside of Chinatown and in the area except for SEOUL SSAMM.
There restaurant has a massive layout of tables and plenty of seating for large parties and groups while still having intimate tables for two-four people. The menu is large and you can go for quick, small options or large feasts. Employees are all friendly and attentive too and come around often.
I enjoyed the meat that came in our option and the soup is always my favourite at any Korean BBQ too. I’d like to go back next time and order an option with more variety of meat too since we had a lot of vegetables and side salad that I enjoyed but I prefer the more staple meat and rice with soup.

I love the freshness and the simplicity of the food every time i go, the chef does a fantastic job in the kitchen to provide the best food at all times. The staff is great and they take good care of you constantly and they also grill and cut your meat for you. The restaurant itself also has a very nice atmosphere and vibe to spend a great time with your family and friends ! Highly recommended!
Amazing Food and Amazing Service.
I liked it the most because the staff cooked the meat for us. I want to visit again with my parents. I think it is the most quality Korean restaurant. I'm so happy to have a Korean restaurant in the fortitude Valley.

Having dined with Seoul Ssam on numerous occasions as a fix to my Korean barbecue cravings or either as a precursor to a night out in the Valley, the hospitality shown by the team is always on point whilst the ingredients and produce used of which I have experienced is of consistent quality.
The Soju's served here are unlike others, ranging from premium Hwayo and Hallasan Original variants rarely seen around town.
Seoul Ssam is not your typical Korean barbecue buffet as the guys also preach heavily the idea of wrapping the barbecued meats into leafy vegetables such as lettuce, topped with traditional condiments - all of which are served as a side to the meat order.
Various sets which accommodate anywhere between 2-5 pax are offered, all of which are fully prepared for you by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Recommended!
For cold winter nights, only Korean BBQ can come close to the joy that Hot Pot brings. As you can tell, I'm a huge fan of table top cooking, which is why I was stoked to receive an invite to try out the fairly recently opened SeoulSsam at Fortitude Valley. Making an appointment for an early dinner, we attended on Sunday night.
We ordered the Set 3 and everything was lovely. Good quality meats, good service (we had them cook the meat in front of us), good presentation and everything included for the Ssamm (DIY salad wrap for eating your meats). We tried the Kimchi Mandu and the Pork Mandu - both were also really good.
Cheese Toppokki was good as well. Overall was a great experience and would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great quality of Korean food. Their tteokbokki is the best I've eaten in Brisbane. Soft, yet chewy rice cakes, so delicious!
My favourite dish here is their beef intestines hot pot. 🥘 Really done well, I hope they never take this dish out of their menu! We had their happy hour "intestine set bbq" for $60 that came with spicy soybean soup. You gotta have them with the ssam for the full experience 😍
I also love how generous they are with the ssam whether it's perilla leaves or Korean lettuce. 🥬
Staff were lovely, attentive and explained the dish in detail especially for the BBQ.
I especially love their house beer too, the Bluemoon white ale beer. They have an extensive drinks menu including Hallasan (Jeju) soju and Busan soju.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, great for big groups, only wish their prices are lower but overall, I'll come back 😊
I would say they do the most genuine Korean food in Brissy out of many Korean restaurants. Not only the main food also the condiments coming with the food were really authentic.
Vibe there was truly sophisticated as well. If you need good quality meat and atmosphere,I highly recommend this place.

A fantastic Korean restaurant that is most fancy and very great service in Brisbane. All the food was cooked by friendly waiters in front of us. Beef quality is so good, reasonable price.
Also all vegetable was so fresh and staffs explain how to eat and what sauce is good what meat! That was great time

Fantastic Korean restaurant! Very contemporary with excellent choice of Korean dishes. The service is extremely attentive and makes you feel welcome. Everything we tried was prepared well and tastes deliciously. We know most of the Korean restaurants in town and this one is outstanding. Highly recommended, even for vegetarians! Good for families, business meetings and romantic dinners. The best part: Despite the great food and modern atmosphere the priced were super low. We shared five dishes and only paid $64!
