Review Three Beans Cafe - Brisbane

Wendy
I grabbed a haloumi and vege toasted sandwich here for lunch and it was freshly made, had great flavours and was a generous size. I got takeaway as I needed to keep going, but it's a pleasant and spacious venue, with seating indoors and outdoors and helpful staff. I'll be going back to try the coffee and other offerings.

Coffee was great! Ordered the toasted banana bread and avo and feta on toast, banana bread was nice, however the toast was burnt for the avo on toast. The feta wasn’t marinated as described on the menu. The place was loud with some staff talking loudly and music turned up, I found it hard to concentrate on ordering food and talking with my companions.

The coffee was just perfect. And the avo and toasted with eggs were so yummy. The service was lovely. No disappointment

Delicious Acai bowl. Great coffee. Plenty of outdoor seating.

Fast, reasonable prices but not the friendliest of staff.

So glad we popped in here for brunch. Everything was absolutely delicious! From the Amazing coffee, caramel slice to the Breakfast wrap.

Nice new cafe in the CBD. Great service, staff and food. I went for their pancakes (been craving pancakes for too long), and they were spot on. Nice and fluffy, with so much flavor. Also had a side of haloumi... Because, halloumi ❤️. The cold brew was very refined, nice flavor notes and even though it was cold outside I still enjoyed it 😊. Also the avo on toast is crazy cheap, very curious... Might have to get it next time!

My family had breakfast here this morning. It is a nice location and to be honest I wasn't expecting much in terms of food quality... However, egg and bacon roll was gorgeous on a brioche bun. Avocado toast had the perfect spread of feta, I ordered two coffees for myself because I couldn't get enough. And it goes on, we order 2 or 3 more dishes and the quality was exceptional. Service was great too. Fast and prompt and friendly. Keep up the good work!

Came here for a weekday brunch and had the BBQ brisket bowl while my friend had the brisket burger. I really enjoyed the bowl, which had quinoa, avo, and spinach, among other healthy things. It was very tasty and I was pleasantly surprised at how filling it was. Service was friendly and quick as well.

Had the winter bliss bowl and cocoa banana smoothie. Smoothie was delicious! I get the idea of paper straws, but it just doesn’t work. They get soft and break. Might as well just omit the straw altogether then. The bowl was good, but very small serving in my opinion. Really more 3.5 but I felt generous.

The simplest yet tastiest of lunches - can always win friends with salads like these! The salmon was very tasty but needed to be a bit bigger for the price (or a cheaper price point) in my view, but still really nice!

This was the Nourish Bowl (smoked salmon, grains, seeds, peas, kale, avocado, red cabbage, carrot, onion, coriander, egg and ginger dressing)

healthy options here, great coffee, nice outdoor seatings, always come back for the harvest bowl : salmon pieces, lots of greens and a warm poached egg =)

Been here multiple times and nothing’s disappointed! Staff are always kind and welcoming and the food is always fresh, healthy and delicious!

Yum! Misscharlot and I tried two of these lovely bowls for lunch the nourish bowl and Mexican bowl. Both are gluten free and delicious. The egg was beautifully poached and the the dressing was packed with zest! The Mexican bowl was mild but still very flavoursome. Really good value here, considering the high quality food and service 👌
Spice Is Life
Came for a quick weekday lunch and tried their $8 Cheeseburger plus a side of sweet potato fries (+ $4). Amazing value for the price, particularly for the environment and Eagle Street location.

My only regret was not giving the Brisket Burger a go- the ones my friends had looked for phenomenal. Will definitely have to go back for this.

P.S. If you get a chance, sit outside and enjoy the sun while it’s winter!

Went here for lunch with some friends, and I’m already thinking of when I’ll be back! Such good value for money, and of course, deeeeelicious food! Service was super friendly and very prompt. Loved all the blue accents everywhere too 💙 I ordered the 12 hr Beef Brisket Burger - yuuuum!! Absolutely inhaled this burger. Had a touch of spice which I actually really liked, and the fries were perfectly crunchy 👌🏼 so keen to come back and try more of their lunchtime meals and even their breakfasts!

Well located on Eagle Street, a stones throw from Eagle Street Pier, we entered through the large glass doors of Three Beans cafe to a spacious lobby. Inside, the attractive decor was warm and welcoming. To the left, a line of cosy tables spanned and to the right a large outdoor dining area with comfy chairs and awnings to protect diners from the elements greeted us. It was a nice day out, so we decided to sit outdoors- most of the other diners had the same thoughts.

The all day menu had an extensive selection, catering for those who wanted a quick bite or for those who required more sustenance. A range of healthy bowls, burgers, wraps and sandwiches were on offer.

We both had the same idea and decided on the healthy bowls. The Acai smoothie bowl was aesthetically pleasing and packed with summer fruits. The Nourish Bowl was as they said – a whole lot of goodness in a bowl. Both were fresh and appetising.

Chai and Matcha would have to be two of our loves when it comes to beverages. I would have preferred my Matcha latte to have a richer more aromatic flavour . The same goes for the Chai tea.

Today was our first visit to Three Beans Cafe and we were suitably impressed with the quality of the food, the attentive and friendly service and the comfortable surroundings.

Food : 8.5/10
Value : 8/10
Service: 8/10
Environment: 8/10
FOODIE ADVENTURE
This cafe had such a relaxing vibe. Love the location and the loved the ambience as well. We received a warm and friendly welcome and during our entire lunch the service was great and attentive. We ordered the 12 hour brisket burger and calamari tacos. For drinks we got vanilla milkshake. Everything was massive and very generous. My tacos was packed full of large and fresh calamari and the burger was extremely filling. Had a lovely and nice relaxing lunch.

We are invited here for lunch last week. Walking in at 11.20am we are greeted by a crowd queuing for takeaway coffee. We seat ourselves and wait staff provide us with cold water and menus. Phuong Tran orders a Mixed Berry Smoothie and I ask for a Cafe Latte. Our lunch order is served after twenty minutes.

*Crispy Hash Benny ($13.50) is nicely presented, comes with Poached Eggs and wilted Spinach atop crispy Potato Hash. With additional sides of Haloumi ($4) and Smoked Salmon ($5). The Potato Hash sure beats toasted Sourdough, nice Spinach and Haloumi but one Poached Egg is overdone.

*Nourish Bowl ($15.50) is a vibrant bowl of Smoked Salmon, Poached Egg, Grains, Seeds, Red Cabbage, Carrot, Avocado, Kale and Ponzu Dressing. The ingredients are fresh and refreshing but the single Poached Egg is overdone.

*Mixed Berry Smoothie looks wonderful and is delicious. The Cafe Latte looks beautiful and is strong and flavourful.

The attractive understated decor, comfortable seats and friendly wait staff make our lunch enjoyable. Thank you Three Beans!

I really love this venue. It’s just so welcoming and easy to feel at home.Three Beans Brisbane is also a cafe that supports the Choose Wisely initiative by RSPCA.What that means is that the food that is produced is with the welfare of the animal as a priority. The eggs are sourced from hens in a well-managed barn system to help adequately provide for the hen’s needs and good for the hen’s welfare.

Despite working just next to Eagle Street, I was surprised not to have heard of three beans cafe, a fairly popular cafe hailing from the southern states which had opened up where the sanitarium cafe used to be. It was only when Adam took me out to lunch there that I learned of their existence, better late than never I guess.

Went there for lunch. Not much on offer with the sandwiches and wraps - asked for a lamb wrap; no sorry sold out. Asked for a chicken sandwich, no sorry sold out; couldn’t make either item fresh.
Ended up ordering a chicken burger, but got given a chicken sandwich because they were out of burger buns. $18 for a chicken sandwich!!!!
No apologises for not getting a burger; no discounted for my overpriced and underwhelming chicken sandwich.
My friend had to send hers back to get re-toasted!!

We head into the Brisbane CBD with limited frequency, and so had not heard about Three Beans Cafe until we received an invitation to visit. The CBD already having a plethora of cafes, we were intrigued to find out what was different. Three Beans Cafe is located along Eagle Street, a stone’s throw away from Eagle Street Pier. On the ground floor of a tall office building (as many city cafes are), we saw the awning and seats outside before we spotted the name of the cafe, subtly nestled above the line of the awning.
