Prior to explore this Japanese eatery, I doubt if it serves good Teriyaki dish. The curiosity remained the same until the first taste of the food on my table.
We ordered the miso soup, teriyaki chicken on a stick, steamed pork gyoza, Tamago-Yaki and a steak salad. I witnessed the two Japanese chef’s working behind the counter. Within ten minutes, all dishes was presented on our table. Wow! They did serve very tasteful gyoza. The Yaki-Tori on stick was huge and the meat was juicy and tenderized. Importantly, the steak was prepared just spot on with med-rare and the Tamago-Yaki was soft and yummy too.

Incredible. This is a tiny restaurant, looks like nothing from the outside. They only do teriyaki. But my god it’s good. This is a good as the best you’ll get in Japan. Service is welcoming, fast and very friendly. Great place!
First off the bat, they have Naruto Manga to read while you wait, that gets the 5 stars on top of the excellent, friendly service. It's a cosy little place with a few tables to sit at if you want to dine in. The menu is small but efficient which I prefer as more time can go into getting a few things right than having too many options. Clearly marked vegetarian options, thank you. The food itself is in generous portions, tasty and fresh. I'll go back.
Came here for quick bite with the family (including the dog). Delicious food that even our toddler liked. The portion sizes are also very generous. I ordered a medium bowl but I should have ordered a small. It’s mostly a takeaway place but they have a few tables out the front. The owner is lovely and the service was quick. Will return.

A really simple and fresh option. I'm not a massive fan of teriyaki as I usually find it too heavy/sweet but I enjoyed it here. We had the chicken bowl and salad bowl. I don't usually order salad but I liked the addition of edamame and sesame dressing with the chicken. I enjoyed both.
The interior is simple and clean. Not a huge menu but they do really well with what is offered. Definitely recommend for the area.
A very pleasant and cosy Japanese restaurant in Rochedale South. The food is very tasty and inexpensive, the staff here are friendly, and most importantly it feels as if you are in Japan while dining here. Love this place heaps, will come back regularly :)
Delicious flavours complimented by incredible service. This is a place you will definitely return to, not only for the food but also for the warm, friendly and generous owners. There are oragami activities, short Japanese documentaries and a beautiful ambience within this wonderful restaurant for all to enjoy. I highly recommend Teriyaki Tokyo and can't wait to try it again! Thank you :)
Lovely place with great quality food. Service was fantastic with very friendly and welcoming owner. I highly recommend getting the spicy teriyaki sauce. Would definitely become a regular here!
Amazing! Owners are very friendly smiling and happy. Fresh, made to order. Their signature sauce is sooo glossy and tasty! I recommend the chicken or steak bowl. Gyoza A+ plus, you can origami or read Naruto while you wait!!
I highly recommend eating here. The restaurant was very neat and tidy. The soft background music playing really helped to set a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are very friendly too, and its easy to tell that they care about and are focused on ensuring that their patrons have a pleasant dining experience. The owner/boss deserves a special mention as he was super friendly and approachable! The food is quite delicious, and sold at good prices too.
After reading up on all the good google reviews I though I would give it a go. The food I had was next level with flavour and taste the chicken had a lovely smoked chargrilled hit. One of the Rochedale souths best restaurant for sure. Only downside was there was a slight payment issue with there online website payment platform but the owner understood the issue and remained professional throughout the situation.
Delicious food, and amazing service from the staff even when they had a busy night with many orders to make. Prices are very reasonable, and the teriyaki sauce is perfect. One of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever tried, I only wish I had discovered this place sooner, and will definitely become a regular!
We love the staff and the food at Teriyaki Tokyo. The food is consistently delicious and cooked to perfection every time. We eat here once a week and sometimes more. The steak bowl, tamagoyagi
and pork gyoza is 10/10. Best restaurant to arrive in Rochedale.
