The waffles and ice cream were delicious! I absolutely loved the classic Swiss chocolate ice cream with the chunks of chocolate pieces, as well as the coconut and Swiss chocolate ice cream. Store ambience, however, needs work. Things looked disorganized with large boxes and storage junk behind the counter that should have been hidden away. The music would suddenly blast out loud then go quiet when customers would order. Perhaps try a more peaceful and chill store look and ambience.

Visit for an ice-cream snack before work around 5.30pm on Saturday. No customers at all, the staff member was alone and on his phone. Took the menu, chose the berry waffles with raspberry and vanilla ice-cream.
I waited more than 30 minutes, a family of 4 came.
The staff brought me my waffles and ice cream it looked so delicious unfortunately instead of berry coulis it was chocolate.
I can't eat chocolate.
I had to bring my plate back. The staff member told me that I didn't tell him that I didn't want chocolate ... why would I have to tell him that I don't eat chocolate when there isn't any chocolate in the recipe according to the menu ?
He asked me if I wanted him to redo it, I said yes, but that I will have to leave 20 minutes later. He then just told me that it won't be ready in 20 minutes and that I can have a refund instead.
More than 20 minutes for 2 waffles and 2 ice creams ? How come ? The family of 4 just had ordered classic ice-creams and an other staff member was starting her shift.
Just lost 40 minutes ... Still hope to try those waffles with ice-creams a next time but maybe in an other store.

2 Waffles were quite small and ice cream for over $16. The ice cream flavour was okay but overpriced.. and staff lacked personality

I order a two scoops, I ask if it could be in different cups so they don't mix. He say yes and after paying I realize he charged two one scoop ice creams ($11 instead of $7). I let him know thinithi it was an error and he said "you wanted the second in a different cup, that's a different ice cream".
Also both scoops were minimal, I can't believe how cheap this people is.
I hope they go out of business soon.

We had the groupon tasting basket deal and drink. The one server did what she could with the random large group of people that walked in, but she was accommodating, friendly and the ice cream was delicious.
Coffee was great as well. Very nice espresso.

Terrible! Staff were surly & impatient with my 3yr old taking a while to decide what he wanted. They made a big deal out of the $10 eftpos minimum when I didn't have any cash, seriously? Most people barely carry cash anymore & $10 in an icecream shop is ridiculous. They relented when I started to walk away as they had already served the ice cream but then overcharged me, I only noticed this later. Very expensive for tiny portions of mediocre icecream...my advice..don't bother.

I wanted a matcha latte on lactose-free milk with matcha powder (not matcha mixed with sweetener). The guy who served me (possibly a manager?) not only took each of these additions without blinking (or treating me like I'm annoying), but went out of his way to give me a taste test to make sure that the product he made was what I was seeking. I truly appreciate this. It was delicious!

Ordered two dishes and tea. Waited 20minutes for the tea to arrive, 10minutes later ONE of the dishes came. Waited another 20min to then go up to counter and ask where our next dish was...have someone came out with our next dish and said ‘oops I overcooked it and then it got cold, I was busy’ - we asked for it to be remade fresh .... and still currently waiting.....

There's something about cinema and ice cream that supports the existence of an European chain ice creamery. Too rich for my liking and there's something too slick about the branding. If you are reading a review on movenpick just go and eat some. I am writing this to try and understand movenpick. I must say it seems unauthentic.

Having tried Movenpick at another outlet for coffee I thought I would give this one a whirl as my last offeringwas pretty good. Unfortunately was a bad decision, although the barista tried her best to fullfill my request for a strong flat white she failed miserably. Awarding a 2 for effort as the coffee was weak & watery with no flavor, couldn't drink it-stick with the ice cream here that's for sure

Today after lunch we decided to try some ice cream and we found this place close to brewski.<br/><br/>We ordered one scoop of rum and raisin and for $5.50 it was quite a small serve but taste was really good, the ice cream was creamy, not over sweet and had a nice hint of rum and a really enjoyable raisin flavour. Despite the price I think it's quite worth it. 4/5

Popped in for a quick scoop of ice cream and was reminded that Movenpick Ice Cream is very good, but at $5.50 for a single small scoop in a cup it is way overpriced.<br/><br/>Be forewarned - if anyone in front of you orders a coffee, be prepared to wait. There was only one other patron in the place when I arrived and he was already sitting down waiting for a coffee. It was five minutes before the young woman even greeted me and a few more before she was ready to take my ice cream order.

So many generic tasting chocolate (and other flavour) ice creams flood the fridges of far too many supermarkets, ice cream vans and ice cream shops. Not this one, baby. Cutting straight to the chase, and upon ordering 'Swiss Chocolate', this thrilling ice cream seduces you with its chocolate thrills and liquid spills.<br/><br/>What makes it that extra special is the fact that the chocolate shavings are flakey, more-ish and neither too chunky or too hard, enhancing the experience and blending into the ice cream flawlessly. <br/>While not a big fan of coffee ice cream (I didn't have much of a choice as my 'Swiss Chocolate' was stolen and exchanged for the 'Espresso Coffee') its creaminess was ofset by just the right balance of sweetness and coffee richness. <br/><br/>There's so many great ice cream places in Brissie, and with a wide range of flavours that look sensational (such as blackcurrant and cream, plus all the other ice cream treats to consider) Movenpick gets top marks.

My ice cream was icy and quite honestly the serving size of this was minescule - about 4 spoonfuls for $4.95 - a tiny wafer too - not great value and not great ice cream

Rude service!. We ordered two single scoop icecreams but the lady must have not heard us properly as she put them both into the one cup. When I informed her of this she gave me a look like "Just get out of my shop", lifted the icecream cup in the air so she could dump the icecream back into the tub and then scooped it out again (all whilst staring at me the whole time). Ridiculous. There is so much better service (and icecream) out there than this!

No generosity. Movenpick is great ice cream but what about this store? Not sure if they all do it but ordered 2 scoops in a cup and that's exactly what I got. Bare minimum two scoops and they're plopped into the cup leaving a great deal of air in the cup. At other gelato places they put a lot of care into making sure the entire cup is filled and piled high with gelato filling up all gaps.<br/><br/>I could be wrong but this rang of experience and/or cheapness - a pity as the ice cream itself was great as usual.

On a quiet Saturday night (06/07/2013) at about 9:00pm we went to order... Asian staff had limited English, got our very basic order wrong, brought our desserts out 7 minutes apart and were laughing and giggling like idiots when a friend if theirs came in. It was annoying and the service was terrible. Flavours amazing but never again will we visit there. I'd rather buy a tub of connoisseur and some Nannas waffles next time. Would be a third of the price too.

Staff were rude and violent.. Service was atrocious. If you have an issue with your product it is dealt with by yelling obscenities at the customers and refusal of supplying us with details of the head office. Also followed with shoving. Not a great experience. Don't chose vanilla dream milkshake either, it's cheaper to buy a bottle of milk at Coles... Tastes the same too.
