Today after lunch we decided to try some ice cream and we found this place close to brewski.
We ordered one scoop of rum and raisin and for $5.50 it was quite a small serve but taste was really good, the ice cream was creamy, not over sweet and had a nice hint of rum and a really enjoyable raisin flavour. Despite the price I think it's quite worth it. 4/5
So many generic tasting chocolate (and other flavour) ice creams flood the fridges of far too many supermarkets, ice cream vans and ice cream shops. Not this one, baby. Cutting straight to the chase, and upon ordering 'Swiss Chocolate', this thrilling ice cream seduces you with its chocolate thrills and liquid spills.
What makes it that extra special is the fact that the chocolate shavings are flakey, more-ish and neither too chunky or too hard, enhancing the experience and blending into the ice cream flawlessly.
While not a big fan of coffee ice cream (I didn't have much of a choice as my 'Swiss Chocolate' was stolen and exchanged for the 'Espresso Coffee') its creaminess was ofset by just the right balance of sweetness and coffee richness.
There's so many great ice cream places in Brissie, and with a wide range of flavours that look sensational (such as blackcurrant and cream, plus all the other ice cream treats to consider) Movenpick gets top marks.
