Nice place to have breakfast around the corner of Fairffield Gardens. Menu is good and taste too. But the toast they use is very rock hard . Don’t know why so or it becomes due to keeping exposed to air. Also the service needs to be improved . Took 25 minutes for our order to arrive . Had to remind them for this as we sat outside (&probably they forgot) Moreover, no napkins or cutlery given on table. Was provided with just 1 each cutlery. Will have to give another try . But for now 3 stars

The fritters had a nice flavour but fall crumble apart after cut in half, generous piece of haloumi, even better if it comes with toast to soak up the egg yolk 🍳

Man oh man ,,,, We got there at 9am one person on the floor only I dont understand how he did it cooking multiple breakfast serving other customers for coffee and dine in ,,we ordered full breakfast and 2 x eggs /bacon with toast + cinnamon bread wait was 45min and worth it great flavour plates left empty

Slinky espresso has great coffee and the owner is very friendly. Very cheap prices for brunch food. Try to go closer towards closing time especially on the weekend, as the wait gets pretty long during peak time.

This cafe is freaking amazing, food was phenomenal, and in great portions, service was exactly how you want it to be, not too much and not too little. 10000% recommend!!!!

Friendly staff, wide option choices. I had a "Loaded completed", it was a delicious big serve. Well located, carpark available. XLNT

Small cafe around the corner of fairfield garden. Place is looks cozy and staff serving good. We ordered eggs benedict actually it’s looks tasty but when we eat it we realised they give us cold bread so when we try to eat, feels like eat rocks it is too hard to chewy. Really not happy but since the eggs is cook well so I still give 3 stars.

Espresso which I have visited a few times before. <br/>New management is also by young staff.<br/>I was lucky to have a seat to enjoy my brekkie.<br/>It is clever to keep serving the same coffee brew of the Genovese, which the barista has done a good interpretation. It’s bold body with smooth gesture earns my appreciation.<br/>The savoury dish is even better with two perfectly prepared poached eggs sitting on a bed of baby spinaches and accompanied by two grilled tomatoes. When I saw the sexy movement of the egg white after I cut through the egg, a full mark review was dedicated👍😋

Used to visit this cafe years ago when it was Slinky Espresso. New owners now & new name. We were lucky enough to get one of the few available tables after the easing of restrictions for Covid. However the food was still served in takeaway boxes which probably spoiled it for us. I had the humble potato which was actually two potato cakes, fresh chilli, spinach & eggs. Eggs were semi warm as were potato cakes & there was no fresh chilli. Would love to give this another try when restrictions are lifted as the owners have great potential
Mmm With Friends
Cute joint in Fairfield. Makes surprisingly good coffee. Relaxed atmosphere. Hits the spot for an affordable weekend coffee.

Ordered the Top of avo with smoked salmon plus a chai latte. Both were decent enough but not amazing. Overall, dishes are cheaper than in most other cafes. Would love to come back to try the Still French Toast or Nutella infused pancakes.

This is a really lovely little coffee shop. The food is great and it's way better priced than other local places. The staff are friendly and I'll definitely be coming back
Coffee Snob
The food here is generous and delicious! Can’t fault the coffee. The avocado bruschetta was presented beautifully. Am looking forward to making this a regular spot

So the decor of this place is a bit off putting. It looks like a place where you’d order a pie and a instant coffee. The food was average, but was at a good price point. This is where you’d go if you have a big family to feed, not if you were a foodie.
Chocolate Obsession
Figured I’d go somewhere different for breakfast and it sure was worth the drive. Coffee was delicious and the French toast was amazing. It’s a small place but they do their food well. I’ll be back to try more of the menu. Thanks slinky espresso 😀

I love coming here, whether it's just for a takeaway coffee or having breakfast with friends. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, food tastes amazing and is well priced (won't break the bank) and has a choice of outdoor or indoor seating. I've never been disappointed!

Favourite cafe in Brisbane, really delicious and well priced food and amazing tasting coffee, get food and drinks there often and never disappointed!!

The best Breakfast in the area. We are totally in love with their Bravo Avo! It’s a celebration of tastes, Dukka, Feta, nuts, and pesto make the whole dish very different from any poached eggs you had before. Staff are very friendly and bubbly.<br/>There is some opportunities in the look of the cafe, tables and definitely cutleries, knives so blunt! Anyway this place is our every weekend breakfast destination, We love it...

Random pick this cafe as our family breakfast treat, the decision was right because this place is a big surprise for a picky chef aka myself, the coffee was good, the coffee bean got really different taste and warmth aroma compare to merlo and victorria brand, food was amazimg, ingredients are very fresh, order the avocado filler and brushchetta both use lots of salad stuff like rocket Spanish onion cherry tomato , all tasty and nice didn't feel the veges got any damaged , seasoning and flavors is light but really work well with their fresh ingredients, Turkish bread toasted just enough , avocado is firm but soft , personallyl think they use Olympus haloumi, the flavor and texture is very similar to this brand , also is my favorite haloumi cheese brand ,definitely will go back to try more food.

Long black plus boston style beans for me, flat white and french toast for the wife.<br/><br/>Genovese coffee, enough said.<br/><br/>The french toast I would rate as the best I’ve tasted. The mascarpone cheese base provides the best balance to the sweetness of the bread and syrup, and the acidic and tangy fruits. And yes, I finished up what the wife couldn’t eat because of the generous serving.<br/><br/>The boston beans needed a little more chorizo, but it was a savoury dish that I’d prefer to the sweet baked beans you’d normally get from cafes.<br/><br/>Overall, not a bad first impression for this brekky nook out in the ‘burbs.
Foodgirl
Simple, honest food at reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and bubbly. The avocado and fetta portions were generous and the dukka added a nice hint of spice. The Tutti Frutti smoothie was amazing.
Dani Tracey
The food was amazing. The cafe doesn't look the best from the outside looking in but what the cafe lacks in ambiance makes up for it by the food. Staff were really friendly and helpful

We've been here a couple of times now. It's a great place with really friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Coffee and food are excellent, and overall this place is way better than some of the more expensive places around Brisbane.

I had the bruschetta, the wait time was a little bit longer than expected - but given the presentation and flavour all can be forgiven! A very tasty brunch and I'm glad I came here for a bite to eat.<br/>Jessi Hope

Weekday morning - I stopped by Slinky Espresso for a breakfast bite and a coffee 2-3 weeks ago. It was pouring rain that morning and all I wanted to do was somehow teleport myself to the cafe instead of going through the process of driving there and getting my umbrella. <br/><br/>Anyhow, I made my way there and situated in a small complex in Annerley is Slinky Espresso. I guess due to the forecast, the cafe was having a quiet start to the day. <br/><br/>As I entered the cafe I was greeted by the friendly staff/barista. I knew what I was feeling for the morning so the menu wasn't needed for long. I went ahead and ordered an Eggs Benedict w/ Bacon as well as my usual Flat White.<br/><br/>Coffee - (Genovese Blend) Presented with a lovely swan latte art, the Flat White was served hot. However, was a bit watery. <br/><br/>Food - Eggs Benedict was served with perfectly poached eggs. The toast was lightly toasted and the spinach was well cooked. The only two minor downsides would be the bacon being slightly overcooked and the minimal serving of hollandaise sauce (Hollandaise sauce was creamy though!)<br/><br/>Friendly staff :)

All food are so beautifully presented and delicious!<br/>Had a great time with my girl friends on a beautiful Saturday morning! I would definitely recommend French toast!
Kaylah-Ann Pratt
My roommates and I went one morning for breakfast and loved it! The food is very well priced for the portions they serve. Although they did serve my French-toast without the bacon and served the bacon separately 3 minutes later I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
Meatballs And Beef Cheeks
Following two substandard bakery experiences on Sunday, the Meatballs family turned to Slinky Espresso in hopes of a great meal.<br/><br/>It was nearing nap time, so we went with takeaway, and ordered the French Toast, the Eggs Benedict with Bacon and an Iced Latte.<br/><br/>The French Toast was a generous serving of cinnamon infused brioche, topped with fresh berries, fruit, mascarpone with a side of syrup. This was very good, but real Maple Syrup would have elevated this to the next level. As it stood, this rated 3.5.<br/><br/>The Eggs Benedict was two eggs, served atop bacon, spinach and toast, topped by Hollandaise sauce. The eggs were a bit too runny (and I love a runny yolk) and the bacon was a bit overcooked, but the dish was still good. This rated a 3.<br/><br/>The Iced Latte was good - strong without being bitter. This rated 3.5.<br/><br/>The staff was really accomodating - packing the hot items separate from the cold ones and they kept the Iced Latte in a cooler until the food was done. <br/><br/>Would definitely consider a return trip for dine-in.

Found this place driving up to Fairfield - this place has friendly staff and an interesting small / light menus. Although our food took almost forever to be served, we were quite satisfied with the flavour. Nothing over the top but definitely better than average, high scores on presentation definitely but I believe some aspects to my Salmon dish would've been a lot better and satisfying. I'm on the fence with this place, I would come back if they could make some improvements and upgrade the menu a little bit. Also, I noticed the servers are also the cooks with no proper kitchen area - could be why it took so long. However, I would trust the place more with my food if a dedicated cook/chef was present and making the magic happen while the servers stick to their primary roles.

My bread for my eggs benny came out burnt, the portion size was very small & my iced mocha tasted like a chocolate milkshake. Would not come again

Food was good, staff were friendly and helpful. They were quick to apologise and rectify their mistake when they forgot to add on the feta to my avo and feta on toast. A really nice tucked away spot to catch up over coffee or have breakfast!
5mins_more_sleep
Coffee was great but food average.. I felt like most of the staff were new which wouldn't help. The place needed a good scub too. Dirty floors & windows. I wouldn't go back or recommend when they're much better places around.

After seeing some excellent reviews, I could not go past this place.<br/><br/>From the outside, it just looks like you're average cafe - cute and simple. Note: this cafe is pet friendly!<br/><br/>Inside however, there is so much character. I get the impression the owner has an artistic background because it really translates in their choice of colours, style and decor. Nothing over the top, some gorgeous art on the wall with a brief note about the artist, mural of a leaf on one wall, cushions in the booths that look like tree stumps and a little more - very cool. We sat in a booth and I have to say, the chairs were quite uncomfortable. It felt like the springs were broken so when it didn't matter where I sat on this 3 seater couch (for lack of a better word - sorry!), I felt like I was sinking. I loved the table though!<br/><br/>Staff - we only really spoke to the barista because he served us at the counter. He was very friendly, had a great laugh with him from the moment we walked in. The other staff were in the back but they seemed nice when they brought our coffee out and collected the dishes afterwards.<br/><br/>Food - Cinnamon french toast for me with strawberries, blueberries, marscaporne and bacon dusted with icing sugar and a side of maple syrup. Perfect amount of sweetness, the strawberries were nice and tart which cut right through. I had a slight issue with the french toast itself. It was nice and soft on the inside but it came out cold? I wasn't sure if they made it ahead of time and reheated it or if they made it before my partner's brekky was made and it was just sitting there. The combination of ingredients was lovely - I just wish my toast was hot! Portion sizes were excellent.<br/><br/>Coffee - oh my heavens - I ordered a large and it came out served in a wading pool size mug! It was amazing!! Coffee was lovely, strong but not overpowering.<br/><br/>Price - for two breakfasts and two coffees only cost about $43 which is excellent. Will absolutely go back and try the fritters next!<br/><br/>Thank you for a lovely brekky and coffee this morning!

Back to my old stomping grounds from when I was a kid. I travel past this place every morning on the journey to work and have wanted to stop in at this place for sometime, today I got that chance.<br/><br/>Once inside you would never think this place is next to a main road, its ridiculously quiet. Both interior and exterior well designed and appealing with fantastic art work and furnishings, dig a tad deeper and unfortunately some cracks appear. The long seats inside are far to low for the tables that accompany them, yes they have cushions for that added boost but its not enough and what doesnt help is that you have to just put up with it as the seats are bolted down and moving the table would disadvantage the person sitting on the other side of you, coffee was ok but with the strength I like my coffee this one unfortunately lacked strength and tad to milky. Mains came quickly but a bit disappointed when according to the menu I was to have salad with my brekky and all that arrived is 5 green leaves that got hidden under the bowl of mushrooms.<br/><br/>The staff are very friendly and attentive to both new comers and regulars. They seem to work so well as a team and noticed that meals are promptly delivered. The stand out here was the spicy chorizo and crispy bacon, cooked to perfection. The idea of having the mushrooms, chutney and chorizo in little dishes is great so that your brekky isn't swimming in juices. I would return.

Coffee was great. Juices tasted a bit diluted. Had an avocado toast. It was alright. Nothing fantastic. But generally a nice cosy place to chill.

Went there for Sunday brunch. As soon as you arrive this place welcomes you with open arms, and you immediately feel right at home. The staff and owner are just so friendly!<br/>We ordered the French toast, cheesy scrambled eggs w/bacon, eggs Benedict w/bacon, and the usual skim cappuccinos and OJ. The portions were generous and extremely filling. The coffee was good, and the OJ was freshly squeezed with a hint of ginger - which I love. My eggs Benedict was good, only issue was my eggs being slightly over cooked for my liking. The scrambled eggs were cooked dry when I was expecting them to be slightly gooey since they were labeled "cheesy". The French toast was delicious - not too sweet which I prefer. The maple syrup and mascarpone complemented it perfectly. If you don't have much of a sweet tooth, then this French toast will still work for you. I will definitely be going back to this place again, and again, and again!

It's fantastic to have this place just down the road from my house and myself, my housemates, and our friends from across Annerley converge here for our Saturday and Sunday morning recoveries. Never disappoints, especially the well cooked bacon and chorizo.

So disappointing.<br/>I was stoked to see a 4+rated cafe so close to home, so I came to get breakfast takeaway. It was 7:30am, the only breakfasty thing the had ready was only one ham/cheese croissant. So I ordered that, and two coffees to go. I ordered my usual, skinny latte with extra shot - and it was weak and milky. Plus they microwaved the croissant, plus it took more than 15minutes just to get this for me, even with an almost empty cafe.<br/>I'm pretty sure the two girls were both juniors, as two older staff arrived as I was about to leave. But still, pretty sloppy service, unimpressed.
Food
Very good food and service

Awesome taste coffee and fantastic design catering. The owner of the cafe is really devoting in entertaining the customer to the most. The best cafe I've been.

I’m pretty devastated about Slinky’s. The quality has definitely dropped and with it the entire atmosphere of the place.<br/><br/>I admit the change in management didn’t bother me. I really liked the previous staff - but buy outs and staff turnover happens so I was very open to meeting the new staff and more concerned that the great quality would be effected. <br/><br/>Unfortunately I feel like the whole vibe of the place has totally changed due to small issues that all add up to sour the experience. Takeaway coffee that is delivered 10 minutes before the food, phone orders that haven't even started by the time you arrive, the completely empty food cabinet, staff that don't smile or chat (the previous staff were great at this), just to name a few.<br/><br/>I’m a local and it’s great having a fabulous coffee shop only a walk away. Now I feel I might have to walk further to find it though. Bring the old Slinky's back!<br/><br/>
Drew Kennewell
After initially being unimpressed by the quality of the food and service after the change in management, I'm happy to say that the quality has greatly improved after I visited again recently. It still misses a little of the charm it once had, but overall everything has definitely gotten better.<br/><br/>The French toast is still amazing, and the new waffles are delicious!

The veggie stack (with added bacon!) is absolutely incredible! And affordable. Only bad thing is they have two different menus and the veggie stack one is only Thursday- Sunday otherwise the other menu is very limited!

Great food great service. From newbie to regular within 3 weeks. almost don't want to write a review so it doesn't get anymore busy! Keep up the good work.

This place was amazing. Looking through nearby cafes we decided to go with this cafe because the food photos look so appealing. Now we feel like going here every weekend for a brunch even if it's 30 minutes away from us. Definitely worth the drive!

Best cafe in Brisbane and owner are very friendly and brekky was very delicious, we hardly able to walk out after the feed. We will return this place again next week.

Always received lovely service, breakfasts and coffee. My favourite cafe for coffee. It's a very small and noisy (crowded) cafe so don't expect a relaxing experience unless you turn up in a quiet period.
Stewart
We have been here a few times now and have always found it to be consistently excellent. Great food, coffee and extremely friendly service. Also the prices are more than reasonable representing probably the best value in the area.
Jessie Cassandra Hall
Fantastic service! Such a friendly vibe and a really inviting feel to the place. Their coffee is sensational and their "Rubén Toastie" is to die for! The perfect combination of ingredients.

Just what I was looking for!. The food was great, the service is friendly and fun, and the coffee is some of the best I've had!
Snooty
A good no-nonsense suburban cafe. Good food. Good coffee.
Richard
Great service, coffee, and food. Although just a small place, this cafe had friendly service, good coffee, and tasty well-priced food. It's one of our regular coffee spots, and has always been a good experience.
Lillie
Love this place! Amazing coffee, great staff, perfect food and dog friendly! Ticks all the boxes for me!!!!

Hidden gem. Thank God for Slinky! They're the ONLY good coffee shop in the area. Their coffee is great, their food is always spot on and their service is outstanding. I actually go out of my way to come here instead of anywhere else in the area. You have saved this little part of the world Slinky! <br/>Also, you can sit with your dog outside. That's always a sign of a great place.
Southsidenoms
Great local cafe. Slinky is a welcomed break from pretentious cafes in the inner-south. Visiting Slinky on a Saturday morning is a pleasure – the coffee is always good, the food is well-priced, the service is exceptionally fast and the girls always have a smile on their face, even when it's busy. It's not the fanciest or trendiest cafe, but others in the area pale in comparison. Also, dogs are welcome.

Mm vege stack is to die for and always amazing. Slinky is one of fave cafes in brisbane. It is AMAZING value, i don't know how they do it to be honest, but I'm not complaining. <br/><br/>the vege stack is our favourite meal of any cafe! it's so good. I can't even tell you how many times we have had it, we order it without fail. A dog friendly cafe too, and its so nice to see the regular canine faces when we visit

Haddaway into Slinky Espresso!. "What is love?"<br/><br/>Slinky.<br/><br/>Slinky is love.

Great coffee, Great staff. An unassuming little gem. Well worth the stop and great staff working.

Lovely friendly service! Enjoyed listening to all the staff greeting the regular customers by their names :) Not that we tried it, but I love the option of a 'bowl' sized coffee! Next time :) <br/>Thanks Slinkey Espresso

Sleek and Slinky. Great coffee find here, friendly and efficient staff and great hot food, just could do with some fresh homemade cakes or muffins to go with morning coffee
Tommy Douglass
A nice welcome back. Got off the plane this morning after 30+ hours of travel and am so glad we chose Slinky for our anti-jetlag pick up. Coffee is delicious, using delicious Genovese coffee. Service is great and food is amazing. <br/>The cayenne honey butter is definitely slightly more than mildly spicy but a real pick up.
Clinton M
Good brekky. Ate here this morning, staff very friendly and food was great, although I thought the portions were a little small.
Jessie-92
Unbelievably consistantly good. My partner and I go out of our way at every available chance, driving past 10+ cafes in West End just so we can come to Slinky's. I am quite the coffee snob spent a lot of time trying to find a cafe to my liking and SLINKY'S absolutely takes the cake! We always get a warm greeting, plenty of smiles and most of all a great cup of coffee. Do not waste you're money or time on anywhere else!
Mjglynn
Great Coffee, Great Food, Great Service. Friendly staff who are always happy to see you. Coffee is always excellent whether it's takeaway or drink in. Simple menu with some delicious dishes. Their Reuben is wonderful.
Lloydii
Affordable, friendly and fantastic cafe!. Love this place. The team are so friendly and its always a welcoming environment. The food is simple and yum and on the full menu days they do a wicked breakfast! Benedict is my fav. <br/>Its a family friendly, funky place where you can meet up with friends or just enjoy some time on your own. <br/>Its fast becoming my second home and I would recommend it to anyone.

Slinky Espresso - Annerely, Brisbane. Just tucked into a corner on the outer side of the suburb's mall, the al fresco views might be merely a carpark, some houses on a suburban street or - by luck - distant glances of the park across the road. In about the most complimentary way it could be said, this is a misfit location for such a gorgeous little cafe. Like many great locations for coffee, Slinky Espresso can double as a place to get a wholesome brunch at. That's what my dining buddy and I did one day. To put the consensus forward, it is hard to believe that there is somewhere this good, this concerned with quality control and not settling for just coffee this far out from the central area of the city. <br/><br/>My dining buddy had been here before, and was not too fussed on it then. After some extensive searching for some coffee places around the area before heading to the supermarket, he could not find anywhere else that both looked around as good and was open so this was the chosen place. When the two of us arrived there, I was discussing whether it was worth staying or taking it to go; the mention of how he reckons coffee tastes far better out of a porcelain rather than a paper cup was the deciding factor - it was a stay in for coffee. To put it bluntly, this was worth it. <br/><br/>Slinky Espresso is a place where sitting in is warranted. While in some ways they are hindered by being squished into an outer corner of a suburban mall, they really make do with what they have and the effort shows. You are made to feel welcome, that extends to if you are a kid and/or a dog. The girls working here are simply lovely, often having smiles on their faces; the team is hard-working at providing high-level quality service combining with the same level quality of food. <br/><br/>The blend of coffee used is Genovese. Great care is taken to ensure the quality of the coffee is high, that bean blend you would be drinking there would have been prepared within a week beforehand all the way back to roasting. Not one bit of oversight is allowed; that alone is reason to appreciate this place. Note to coffee shops around: THAT is how you create quality control. <br/><br/>To start off with it was a couple of cappuccinos. One of the sizes was called "Bowl" and it was an offer I could not refuse. This is, in essence, a entree-sized soup bowl with a handle on it. That is any coffee drinker's dreamful delight. Before at places I had had a really big coffee - or one advertised as such - and sometimes this would be passe after a while, usually eventually it would just be drinking some form of flavoured milk. This time around, it was great until the very end. The espresso blend was really strong, and maintained the three-shots worth of it throughout while also offering a good slightly sweet flavour. The milk was fantastically textured, and made the whole drink lithe. <br/><br/>There is a good selection of wholesome, unpretentious food here: mostly sweets, bakery-based items and basic fare. That is not to say that it does not do its job; you can get a reasonable and filling meal here. They do say that it is recommended not to shop on an empty stomach due to impulse buys, and that ultimately made it a wise move to stay in for the coffee; having the food was a by-product of thinking "why not?". The head chef has said her aim is to provide city food at suburban prices, and that is a fair way to describe what is on offer. <br/><br/>From walking into the cafe, I noticed in passing a blackboard special called "Winter Warmer". This was their house beans served with chorizo and bacon in a home-made tomato sauce. When asked what food I would like, that was what I went for. It came on toast. Likewise, my dining buddy's order came on toast; it was the savoury mince, which had a sprinkling of feta cheese throughout it. Both of these dishes are straightforward in what they are, and were delicious. There bits of smokiness in the bean mixture, and the tomato flavour was also present being a little sweet. It would not be complete without being on good quality bread, which it was - sourdough toast. The mince was beefy<br/><br/>Something prompted me to really give this place a try, and that meant having a second course - this time for sweets. My dining buddy was up for it, and ordered a sticky date pudding with ice cream. Having a scan of the options in the cabinet, the pear and raspberry bread is what got my attention. Upon being asked, I did get it toasted and buttered. <br/><br/>Again, both brilliant. The pear and raspberry bread was really a cake in disguise. Both fruit flavours came through is a soft, moist and moreish texture. It was really good. This was probably shadowed by the brilliant, sticky date pudding which was warm from the oven - the slightly runny caramel oozing out is one of the best food experiences to have. Coming with a side of ice cream, why would it not? That creamy texture, even when melted, combines so well with the sauce that I swear that was its - vanilla ice cream's - original intention upon invention. In short, they do both savoury and sweet items to high degrees of quality along with the coffee. <br/><br/>To go with the dessert course, I got a couple of piccolos. One waitress was impressed the two of us both had one of those on top of the big coffee beforehand; as she said, "you must like your coffee". That is one way to put it. This was very good; a great piccolo is akin to a shot of caffeine, no matter how quickly it is drunk. It was beautifully crafted, poured and extracted. <br/><br/>Afterwards, I felt really full and content. Not one bit of this feast was below great quality; maybe it could have been how hungry I was then. Regardless, it would probably have been just as good if I was not so hungry. As far as a cup of coffee goes, this holds up amongst some of the best within the city and can even challenge some popular places in the core of Brisbane. Friendly, attentive staff with care and dedication to the craft make this one place any coffee fan ought to make a pilgrimage to at some point. It is well worthy of its reputation.
Steve Brimblecombe
Nice suburban coffee spot.. I have been here twice. The first time my blood pressure was sky high and I was feeling ill, so any review I did would not be fair to the cafe. However this time, I was very happy with both the food and the coffee. In fact the piccolo I drank was the best I have had in Brisbane. Highly recommended.

Slinky Espresso is just awesome, great coffee and always friendly service. This is a great little hidden gem on the Southside of Brisbane. The meals are very filling and their Espresso's are delicious,my favourite coffee place no doubt.
Reddie
Another FABULOUS find in South Brisbane. Great menu and exceptionally friendly staff. Love it!
Darrenmoore012
Made to Perfection. I personally love slinky espresso. Every Saturday I get a delicious hot chocolate and every bit of it is as simple as yum. The staff are very friendly and it is a cute little cafe in a nice area. It meets all of my expectations and the food is on time and divine. I am quite fond of the scrambled eggs with avocado toast as it fresh and filling. Love your work so keep it up......Syd (9 years old).

Great Smoothies, and good food. Had the strawberry smoothie, was probably the nicest one i've ever had. I'd recommend avoiding the Frushee though, it was over sweet and syrupy, though perhaps not that surprising as it is named after a slushy. The food was wicked though, the savoury mince was to die for, and the vegetarian mushroom sandwich was also a great choice for someone sick of the usual 'Mediterranean'.
SouthSideMunch
Great local vibe. This is a regular fave for us. Sensible prices and while they are always bustling we never need to wait long for our breakfast. I love the encourage phone orders so I can ring ahead, duck in for a cup for the road. Not a gourmet trendy spot - just a consistently reliable local business.
Lloyd
Overpriced and average. It would seem the girls have taken the bean price hike to heart and are now charging over 5$ for a large coffee, whilst I can still get a large coffee between $4.20 and $4.50 in the valley, and the coffee is far better than Slinky's rather average bean.<br/>They are just taking advantage of their regular customers, you fools.
Poutama Hobman
Overrated on Urban Spoon, average coffee. I saw the rave ratings on Urban Spoon so I thought I'd check it out. Coffee was not even ground fresh and the barista could not tell be what their special blend tasted like. Coffee was average. Its not a bad cafe but is pretty much your average suburban cafe. I have no idea how they get such reviews on here. A quick drive down the road to West End and you will find a bunch of cafes that care about their coffee and do it very well.
Sam Hayes
Took my girlfriend here for breakfast today and the atmosphere was lovely. While we were sitting there, we noticed that half of the customers were known by name and it's the type of place where everyone knows each other. The food was great and cheap. The turkey bagel I had was excellent.
Kapuistella
I came here for coffee at least once a week. Love their Soy Flat White. A bit bitter but the best coffee I have ever had in Brisbane so far
Kassiklein
Lovely Cafe!. Fabulous coffee, great atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food for a good price. My local favorite.
David K
Friendly staff, reasonable prices. I'm not a big fan of going out to cafes considering they are usually terrible value for money, but this place is a bit more reasonable, and the staff are very friendly.

7/10. I ordered the Avo Smash on sour dough and added bacon and haloumi... tasted delicious but the sour dough was over toasted and I struggled to cut into the bread and it was very hard to chew which kind of ruined the meal for me. Their Forest Berry frappe is incredible! If you love cherry ripe chocolate you will be in heaven with this drink!!! Everything is reasonably priced, staff are lovely... a little cluttered when it comes to room but overall had a great time.

Amazing atmosphere for writers.. I was hesitant to announce this, as I want the cafe all to myself, but never before have I been in such a cafe that just makes me want to write.<br/><br/>It has the right amount of activity for a light murmur of white noise, what I find to be the perfect lighting conditions, walls adorned with mood-creating coffee paraphernalia, and a lovely private-feeling table that is nicely separated from the rest of the cafe by a glass door. <br/><br/>I get a surge of creativity from just entering now.<br/><br/>And it doesn't hurt that the coffee is wonderful. I find the food a bit on the expensive side, but that is a minor complaint. It's delicious, and a nice occasional treat when I want to spoil myself for writing a good paragraph.

The rocket burrito was amazing! It was a huge serve it could easily be a lunch! The slightly spicy relish was different in a good way. And the service was lovely too, I can see myself becoming a regular

My sister and I are frequent visitors of slinkys, so frequent the staff know the way we like our coffees! For a good coffee shop so close to our house, it's perfect!
Belinda
Always good coffee and consistent smiley staff.

Wow, what a great cafe experience, delicious food, quality coffee, friendly staff but i found their lack of faith disturbing.

Have been coming here regularly for the last year, cannot fault the food or coffee. Service does get slow when they are busy but you will get that anywhere. Their long blacks are the best I can find in brissie - love it!

The girls are very personable.... Always remember my order! The slinky burger is my favourite with such a generous serve and the vege burrito with ham comes in as a close second. Coming from Melbourne my husband and I know good coffee and I slinkies is the best so far with quality and<br/>Price....

Loved the decor, the girls and the coffee is to die for. Would definitely recommend to friends. This is my regular coffee spot!!

Worth coming to Fairfield just for Slinky. Awesome coffee, great service. Haven't eaten much here, but everything looks delish!

Average suburban cafe. While the vege burrito was extremely bland, the service was quick and lovely. I ordered a cappucino which arrived in a monstrous cup, the majority of which was milk (granted, that's to be expected at that size). It was definitely an underwhelming experience.

Great little cafe! They have great coffee, good food, nice decor, really friendly staff, and pleased with the range of gluten free options! While out in the 'burbs, thus cafe would also be at home in the city. But I'm glad its in the 'burbs - we need something local that is worth supporting :-) Will become a regular for sure.

Love this place!

Good coffee, great service, good food. Had the Eggs Benedict with salmon - thick sourdough toast, crispy at the edges and spongy in the middle: perfect to hold the excellently wilted spinach, perfectly poached eggs, fresh and bright salmon, and tangy yet delicate Hollandaise. Not smothered in Hollandaise either, like some breakfast cafes like to do. $15 for the eggs, $3.50 for the coffee, in and out in 20 minutes.

Alright food.. good service .... Alright food.. good service<br/>but should stay open till later

Been here a number of times and continues to impress!! One of the best value for money cafes in Brisbane. Love your work girls. See you again soon

One of the best coffees I've had in my travels around the world and definitely in Brisbane. <br/>Genuinely friendly staff who talk to you by name mostly. The food with a bit of flair in a convenient location not far from home - and for others, convenient access from from Ipswich and Fairfield Roads.

Tasty food. My partner and I went in for brunch today and really enjoyed it. He had a flat white which he said was "not bad" and a choc chip muffin "really good" - nice and light as a contrast to the many really dense chocolate muffins out there and warmed through just enough to have melty chocolate bits. I had the vege stack (on GF grain bread) which was excellent - perfectly poached eggs, just the right amount of haloumi and rocket, really tasty roasted pumpkin and pesto. They have heaps of GF/DF/vego options. We will be back. Our only criticism was the food took a while to come, but not horrendously so, we'd finished our hot drinks but weren't yet at grumpy point when it arrived.

Great coffee esp for vegetarians who don't do diary near perfect staff 9/10

Worth the weekly trek my friend and I make for fantastic coffee and friendly service. Their new breakfast menu is tasty and well priced, and there's plenty of lower-priced options to suit our student budget!
