We love yum cha. We are Definately are yum cha eating family. We really enjoy going to landmark in sunny bank so was very excited to try landmark in Cher side. We werent disappointed. Excellent service. Very polite. We found the food here were better quality and fresher.
We usually drive to Yumcha Cuisine in Gardencity. However, when a friend told me that Landmark had opened in Chermside the 15 minute drive was definitely worth it.
Landmark upholds it more traditional style, the food is tasty and seems hand prepared. We found this especially noticeable with the prawn in rice noodle sheets, where the sheets are silken thin, rather than the thicker chewier ones at Yumcha Cuisine. We'll be back.
Visited this place for a relatively late lunch around 2:20pm. It was very quiet and service was good. Not sure how it would be around noon or at evening. We started with Chinese jasmine tea which was great. Not too many healthy vegetarian options were available but there were enough options for a light lunch.
Good yum cha selection available which consistently tastes great, service can be slow at times but is ok considering how busy this place always is. We choose to visit more regularly over the other local yum chas in north Brisbane. Ambience and decor is more tasteful than other yum cha restaurants.
This popular institution delivers. Attentive service and fresh, delicious food. The serving sizes are generous and the prices are very reasonable.
Went here for an early Father's Day lunch with the family, whereby we were fortunate to secure a table on the terrace without a reservation.
We were promptly seated, given menus and a pot of hot tea.
We ordered a half duck to share, which they had fore-warned us that it would take 15 minutes. The duck was succulent, meaty and crispy skinned.
Otherwise, we sat back and welcomed the yum cha experience - carts of tasty plates of food wheeled around and around. We had a good experience on this day as we were presented with various different carts.
Despite the other reviews, service was quite reasonable during our visit and someone would come to our table regularly to see how we were doing and to clear empty plates. Casual ambience. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a reasonable yum cha option in Chermside.
Food is good (not exceptional but good) and definitely authentic cantonese here. Brisbane has a lot of poor quality Chinese restaurants charging crazy prices ( unfortunately a lot of them say they serve "cantonese" food but they do not. ). I go here regularly as their steamed fish and peking duck are one of the best.
Had birthday dinner with the man last night, and we had the Banquet A. The amount of food for the money was great, we couldn’t finish it all so they packed the leftovers up for us. The sweet and sour pork was amazing, and the Mongolian lamb was delicious. No complaints at all, the service was great and we had an amazing night.
Be aware: they are CLOSED 3:30-5:30 which is not mentioned. As for food it is really good here and it is an excellent yum cha experience if you’re a first timer. Take it all in - staff rush around and do not engage with too much language pleasantries, instead, they display good service by hurrying to refill your teapot asap. Pretty much all staff can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Vegetarians can order vegetable dumplings as they are not usually on the trolleys. Eva and the other young man (sorry can’t remember name!) - special mention for being really attentive and helpful with requests. Eva jumped in to rescue a fellow trainee and help me with an order. Sometimes they are a little inconsistent with putting chili and soy sauce on tables. Dumplings are usually quite fresh and there’s a good range and variety. Dinner service has a great menu also and the roast duck is pretty good. All in all, it is the best yum cha and Chinese restaurant on the north side.
Absolutely loved this place! Although the food was delicious and the cocktails delightful, the outstanding factor was by far the service. My boyfriend and I went there for dinner and we were so well attended. The staff were efficient and funny and took the experience to the next level. Will definitely be making this place a usual spot for date night.
Landmark Chinese restaurant is a little hard to find as it’s located on the top floor (roof level) of the shopping center but it’s well worth the hunt. Restaurant is very big and can seat many hundred people, but it gets full for most meals so be sure to book to avoid missing out on getting a table. There is an extensive range of food from traditional Chinese dishes to fresh seafood. We ate at dinner time and had a range of dishes all of which were beautiful. One of the best Chinese meals in Brisbane without doubt. The beer was cold and also cheap compared to most restaurants. The service was excellent
It is uncommon to find DIMSUM for lunch on an ordinary day, my lucky day to find Landmark while shopping in Chermside Mall. Dim sum dishes assortment of seafood, meat, and vegetable dishes that are prepared in various ways: steamed, fried, or baked. Landmark has a list of some of the most popular dishes. To get you started a complimentary pot of Jasmine tea was served while choosing from the menu. Shrimp dumpling is one of the most popular dishes at dim sum, these are chunks of shrimp encased in a thin translucent dumpling wrapper and served in a bamboo steamer.
Shanghai dumplings soup are delicate items filled with hot broth and pork and are served in a bamboo steamer, these are originally from Shanghai. Chicken feet were braised in a rich, slightly sweet fermented black bean sauce until tender, very delicious.
Finally got a legit Peking duck although not the best. Other dishes are cooked well as well. Service can be improved though.
Bit more pricey than other Chinese restaurants but it is definitely worth it! I melted when I tried the crispy skin duck and the seafood chow run quality of seafood was divine! Food is definitely great quality.
Probably would make sure that the 2 seater tables wouldn’t face each other as it gets a bit awkward when you sit and look at the 2 seater section and you’re all facing each other eating
This joint slaps hard!!!!! The most delicious yum cha I’ve had. Top 3 from Melbourne to Brisbane. Highly recommended if your a yumcha fan
