Review Lola's - Broadbeach

Food is good. It was hot and fresh and delivered in a decent time. Service is questionable and the lady behind the counter was rude when my friends and I asked where the bin was. I would absolutely recommend going here for food but it’s definitely not service with a smile. Would also like to mention that the fish should be handled with tongs and not with bare hands during covid times - saw this first hand from the ordering counter.

A bit tired and could do with a spruce up. However the food is reasonably priced and coffee pretty good. Not the trendy end of Broadbeach but still very nice surroundings. Staff attentive and friendly.

Standard food, but Great service makes all the difference. And we ate for 4 of us for $40, which is unique these days. Enjoyed our hour there, I’m happy to recommend 👍🏻

Eggs Benedict were amazing . Coffee also. Nice and strong . Didn’t meet or hear Lola, so can’t comment 🤣🤣🤣. Staff well organised and courteous.

Ordered Takeaway coffee which was great. The guy at the counter (Alex) was amazing and friendly. The chef was rude to the staff and I could hear him yelling from the counter. Think I’ll wait outside next time.

You can’t help but notice the unorganised chaos that unfolds in the kitchen and FOH areas. Not only are the staff loud enough to hear every rude comment about customers but whoever the older redhead Lady is she is also extremely rude to her own staff. Young kids, i’d guess 14/15 years old, being told to do 8 different things at the one time whilst still trying to clear the floor and run the till. I waited 10 mins or so for someone to take my order before getting up and ordering at the counter to takeaway. No staff to greet you or let you know how it works etc just disappointed, I have only just moved into the area and wanted to find my new local hub but I think I best take my business elsewhere. Any feedback to you would be to be kinder to your staff!

Stopped for lunch. Hubby ordered fish n chips, with a side salad. The rocket / salad was soggy and the meal was cold. I ordered Nachos, it came out cold, the cheese dry and the corn chips were stale. Disgusting food.

Tahlia & Laughlan have been the best hosts we we have had while we have been at the GC. The service we have had at the Lola’s, has been second to none, Tahlia is the best server we have had.

Coffee was good but food was not. Rosti is a fried potato pancake - similar to a large round hash brown with grated potato - NOT a mashed potato rissole that was barely warm. And when it states hollandaise sauce you expect more than a smear around the edge of the plate. I will say that the portion of smoked salmon was generous but overall the meal was very disappointing. Will not be returning.

While staying on the Gold Coast, LOLAS has become our ‘local’ for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Great range of food and drink, friendly, efficient and fast. BREAKFAST this morning was their ‘Big Breaky’ (replaced mushrooms with spinach) and it was … perfect. The balance of flavours and the way it was cooked were the best I have ever had, anywhere. Coffee was hot, delicious and the food arrived quickly so it was still hot with the meal. LUNCH: The Wagyu Burger is magnificent. Once again, the best I have ever had and the best meal I have had anywhere on the Gold Coast. YOU MUST EAT AT LOLAS if you are ever in the Broadbeach area of the Gold Coast! Thank you, Lolas, we love you!

Lived on the Gold Coast for 70 years! By far the best restaurant I've visited! Highly recommend! Excellent food, service and atmosphere!!

Amazing food! Kitchen staff have it spot on but the waitresses need some work. Had issues with being seated, had to ask for a menu after waiting around 10 minutes, ordering time was fine, food came out without cutlery so I asked the waitress for some but instead continued to take out other people's meals. I asked another waitress for some who went and collected cutlery for me. Real shame when our breakfast was so delicious.

The food was beautiful the service was fantastic. Best lunch i have had in awhile. Highly recommend it �

Complete rip off. Very very expensive. 3.45 can of drink and 1.70 per dismiss. What blew me away was the $1.15 charge for plain salt on chips. Wouldn't go back

We love Bacon and eggs for breakfast. I always request the bacon CRISPY. They did it to perfection. Highly recommend Lolas. 😍

Great little eat usually quick service and they have lunch specials with wine. Nice place to sit back and watch the world go by...many different sights that do on the Gold Coast.

What can I say... firstly won't be back!! With rude, surly unapproachable staff I ordered 1 caramel latte (which had no caramel) 1 cappuccino and banana bread charged $16.90.... I can't believe it was too annoyed by the rudeness of staff to realize I had been overcharge!!! Never again!!

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. The fish was ok but tiny for the price the chips were over cooked and tasted like they had been cooked twice and the oil was dirty I bought calamari and had to spit it out throw it in the bin it was so bad, they also forgot a portion of my chips. Would not go back.

Lolas Fish & Chips have the BEST Fish and Chips on the Gold Coast. I highly recommend them. I had the crumbed Cod and Chips for $9.95 and it was delicious. I recommend Lolas Fish & Chips, its now my favourite Fish and Chips Shop in Broadbeach and the Gold Coast

Oily, batter was thick and stodgie, chips not cooked properly and flavored by old oil, flake was chewy like it was freezer burnt and potato scollops were raw crunch potatoes in the middle of thick gluggy batter.<br/><br/>What was even worse - is you wanted to charge us $1 for chicken salt on a $65 order! What happened to lemon and salt when you pay $15 per serve of fish and chips. Never again- disgusting!

Forever the best chips on the GC! Love the schnitty burger!!! Always great service from the girls!!! Even when there is loads of people waiting they are so accurate on the time! Thank you!!!

Worst fish and chips I have ever had. Flake was hard and old and I ordered grilled but was given crumbed. Dim sims were steamed in the microwave (which I could see them doing from where I was sitting). Potatoe cakes were raw and salad was off when I opened the container the smell was disgusting and the cucumber had some kind of slime. 80% of the meal was thrown in the bin. Chips were really good. <br/><br/><br/>Will not ever eat here again.

Cute little fish and chip shop that also serves up pizzas too... Reasonably priced and not a long wait at all, the only thing though is that it closes in the afternoon which is seriously annoying! Good fish and chips, nothing to brag about but INSANE potato cakes, super crispy and crunchy with self serve chicken salt and visage till your hearts content!

Ordered 2 burgers it took 40mins and we where the only to people who where there when we ordered got home and they had gotten our order wrong. The service was just terrible will not go back.

New management. Best fish and chips on gold coast. Any previous bad reviews should be ignored. It's all fresh and cheap. Friendly staff. Delicious.

Shocking service. 3 years ago they gave me the wrong pizza, when i politley informed them all i got was attitude. 3 years later ( tonight) i am left to wait for ten minutes without my order even being taken , the staff basically ignored myself and my son. i knew what i wanted and it should have only taken 30 seconds. the whiting is frozen, as all there fish was until very recently.. so if a long rude wait while being ignored, attitude and frozen fish is ur taste, by all means this is your place

Fabulous. Quite accidentally tried food from this place and now it's my favourite first night dinner on the coast at least once a month. Their premium fish and chips is better than the local seafood restaurants, large in portion, and tastes like it was swimming that day. The calamari, which I usually hate, is nothing like the preservative-filled usuall fare . Amazing...try it at least once and make up your own mind.

Long wait, not great. We waited 45 minutes for 2 pieces of fish and chips. One we ordered grilled, which seemed to throw the kitchen into a spin. The kitchen staff seemed extremely inefficient and not very hygienic as we watched during the long wait for our food. The $10.50 piece of grilled cod was terrible! The chips were ok though.

Just next to its namesake cafe is the takeaway paradigm of version; both the two most common takeaways can be found here - pizzas and, of course, fish and chips (burgers as well). It is pretty dolled up for a simple takeaway and there is some friendly service as well. <br/><br/>I was with my sister's friend minding the baby and, feeling like a burger, she knew of this place. What made me really like the place was how the young lady at the counter gave my niece some colouring in while the orders were awaited. <br/><br/>I got a beef burger with the lot: that consisted of tomato, lettuce, cheese, beetroot, bacon, egg and pineapple. There was an option to get it with fries - which is what I got - and another to get the aforementioned and a can of drink. Additionally I got a potato scallop which of course was to go onto the burger. This made for one big burger. <br/>It was really tasty, and as a testament to a good quality burger messy in parts with the items falling out. The fries were really well cooked and were just the right amount before feeling quite full. <br/><br/>So, as abundant as fish and chips can be around the Gold Coast this manages to stand out. It has a friendly and organised vibe that must exude from the cafe nearby. Perhaps the cafe is just as good as here.
