Review The Coffee Club - Broadbeach

Once again. Here at coffee club, Gold Coast Pacific fair. I don’t think there’s coffee club changes its menu from coast to coast from east to west north or south. Everything is the same. So disappointed to receive our big breakfasts, only to find that they are stone motherless cold. The waitress felt the sausage and said yeah, that’s not good at all. Very apologetic. Who are you kidding. After waiting fifteen minutes, only to be served up this rubbish. Not happy and now have to wait another fifteen minutes for it lunch, no longer breakfast after waiting this long. Cheers big ears

Worst customer services as well as table service! I waited over 30minutes for a chicken and avo toastie. Honestly thought they were hunting the chicken from a farm for the time I was waiting. I asked to add tomato for my toastie… it was put on the side. Toastie was extremely dry, no taste at all! The 2 staff members I spoke to must have been off with the fairies.

One of the highlights of our week, breakfast at The Coffee Club, Pacific Fair. Consistently good food and coffee and delightful staff. Brad is an absolute standout manager and puts the term ‘hospitable’ back into hospitality. Thank you Brad, for always making us feel welcome. Luke and A-M x

My sister and I shared lunch and both got got bad guts during the night. My daughter who ordered a different food was ok. Please be careful how you prepare and store your food coffee club.

Asked for soft poached eggs, received yokes that were as hard as rocks. Asked for long black with oat milk, got long black no milk and then she delivered normal milk. Overpriced and extremely underwhelmed! Don’t do it please or other eateries in the area.

Arrived at 3.30pm to get coffee, but focus of the staff was segregating the seating area so the can wash the floors. They should do the cleaning after they had closed at 5pm, focus should be the customers.

We purchased several Coffee Club Groupon deals (5) during May 2020. The deal was 2 eggs, toast and tomato with a large takeaway coffee - for a very reasonable price. We visited the Coffee Club in Surfers twice and on the first visit we said we weren’t sure if the whole deal was takeaway only - they said ‘no worries’ of course you can dine in - we had, incidentally, super service and 2 lovely sitdown breakfasts there (and returned for coffee and cookies). We had one Groupon left and needed to use it before we left Queensland and thought why not give the Coffee Club at Pacific Fair a go. We went up to the counter at 8.40 am (around 10 minutes after opening... with only 2 tables occupied). We said we had a Groupon to use and the first staff member took my phone to show another staff member who then said “No - takeaway only” - I mentioned it wasn’t an issue at Surfers... She said ‘some owners are letting people sitdown’ - obviously she left unsaid ‘But not this one’. We had planned to buy a second full breakfast and another large coffee for my husband - but we were shut down so quickly - seemingly without breath being drawn - so we just thought ‘why bother’ - and had our Groupon breakfast to takeaway. It is, of course, entirely up to the owner of a business how much he or she gives a toss about customers. The policy of ‘No!’ could easily have been softened and paraphrased to ‘That is a takeaway deal only and we thank you for purchasing it - if you’re planning to purchase another meal however... of course you can dine in and enjoy it together’. Just a huge difference in mentality between the Surfers Paradise Coffee Club (BRILLIANT!) and Pacific Fair. The breakfast, which we ended up eating on our own balcony and to which we added some home cooked bacon, was fine. Eggs poached perfectly, dried off well so they didn’t soak the toast. Tomato grilled nicely. The environment suffered with the large takeaway container and they’ve lost customers - but hey, who really needs them anyway. (PS - some of the deal confusion obviously arose from the picture on the deal - beautifully plated up as per how it was presented at Coffee Club Surfers Paradise vs. the ‘takeaway coffee’ mentioned in the wording.)

Coffee Club is always a standard option for breakfast. Never overly great but mostly they don’t disappoint. I really enjoyed my breakfast here but I honestly can not stand how they don’t use real avocado. I would prefer nothing than have to stomach the awful reconstituted stuff they use.

The best customer service, only had chai latte and I thought it wasn't hot enough so asked if they would warm it up, but they made me a knew one piping hot (I'm English and that's how I like it)lol! And they came back to me to check it was okay just felt very comfortable and would definitely return and recommend

The customer service was incredible and the food and coffee was amazing. I dined at the coffee club with my children and was impressed with the selection of child friendly meals/treats. The owner and the staff really went above and beyond which made my dining experience very positive. Will definitely go back again!

Was a regular coffee clubber at Broadbeach - loved their lattes - though after my recent experience, I won't be going back. Was given a coffee voucher for my birthday, and the new young waitress who served me turned her nose up after I presented the voucher. Was treated like some second rate customer, even by the barista who didn't even smile or say anything when she slide the coffee down the bench to me. Perhaps it's got nothing to do with the voucher and that is just how those two staff members treat all the customers...but regardless, I won't be going back to my old favourite place.

.... Continued from previous review.
Had dinner elsewhere. Walked passed at 9pm hoping to have coffee and cake and they were altogether closed. What happened to staying open for post dinner customers.
Very disappointing from a place and a name that we thought we could rely on. I would hate to think the owner was actually working and making these decisions.
Note: I have not voted for or against. We've enjoyed meals and coffee here before hence wanting to return but shocked with the hours of operation, particularly on such a busy weekend with most hotels claiming 'no vacancy'.

-----14 Nov, 2014-----

Friday night. Kitchen closed at 8pm. 6 hungry mouths turned away at 7:58.
